1. Preparation for installation

Before using the hood

  • Packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of children’s reach, as they are potentially dangerous.
  • Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician.
  • Check the voltage on therating plate which should corresponds to the voltage in your home.
  • Connect the power and switch on the motors and lighting system to check the operation.
  • Check the accessories before installation.

  1. Too many windows and doors surround the machine will cause air convection, thus reduce the performance of wind exhaust (Fig. 1-1).

  2. There shall be adequate ventilation of the room when the range hood is used with appliances burning gas or other fuels at the same time.

  3. Machine shall be installed directly above the cooking area. (Fig. 1-2). windows, too much convection

  4. After installation, machine shall be kept in horizontal position. Otherwise grease in oil collector (either
    round or square) will be flowed to lower side and poured out of collector. (Fig. 1-3).

  5. If possible, the fume exhaust pipe should not be longer than 1.5m as far and the number of pipe elbow should be minimized.

  6. The height between the body of the range hood and stove is suggested at the range of 65-75cm. This distance allows better performance of the range hood. (Fig. 1-4)

  7. Fume exhaust should not be emitted into a hot fume vent that is used to exhaust coal gas or other smoke of fuel.

2. Installation procedures

  1. Open package to check and make sure instruction menu and all accessorial parts are included.
  2. Before installing the machine, check all switches to make sure they are functioning.
  3. Select suitable position for installation. Drill hole on the wall by using 1/4″ tread bit and put screw lock inside the hole to fit wooden screw with matching hanging holes (Fig. 2-1).
  4. Adjust hangers of both side, hang the machine onto wooden screw (Fig. 2-2).
  5. Make sure the machine is horizontal.
  6. Installation position of exhaust vent:
  1. Install exhaust rent to the window abcre cooking surface (Fig. 2-3). Knock out one piece of glass. Install a plywood that allow the exhaust duct to pass through.
    Never damage the wall.
  2. If cooking surface is not close to window:
    a. Select the window which is nearest to cooking surface. Connect exhaust pipe to outside through widow.
    b. Select the wall which is nearest to cooking surface.
    Drill hole on the wall to connect exhaust pipe to outside.
  1. Drill a hole on the wall (Fig. 2-4):
  1. Measure the position of bent pipe on the wall.
  2. Indicate the position, use drill to drill a hole.
  3. When drilling hole, be careful of wall construction and material to avoid damaging other wall surface.
  1. Installation of exhaust pipe (Fig. 2-5):
    Insert one side of exhaust pipe to the adaptor fitted on the top vent of machine. Then, another side of pipe is fitted to exhaust vent.

3. Operation

Touch switch operation instructions:

  1. “Power/delay” key, touch the power switch icon after connect to electric supply, all the icons of other switchs will light up. At the same time, the trademark lamp will also light up. Then you can operate other function keys. Touch the switch again, it will be turned off. While the fan is operating, touch the switch to tum on the delay shut-off function. Touch the switch again to shut down immediately.
  2. “Left motor” key, touch the switch in the standby state, enter the left fan high-speed operation, the button light flashes at the same time, then touch the button fan to enter the slow running, and the button light also flashes slowly. Touch the switch again to stop The fan.
  3. “Right motor” key, touch the switch in the standby state, enter the right fan high speed operation, the button light flashes at the same time, then touch the button fan to enter the slow running, and the button light also flashes slowly. Touch the switch again to stop The fan.
  4. “Heat cleaningw key, press the switch for 3 seconds in the power-on state, the button light flashes and start the thermal cleaning work cycle, the working time is 16 minutes, and the machine automatically shuts down after the cycle is completed, touch the switch again to terminate the heat cleaning cycle.
  5. “Lamp” key, touch the switch in the power on state, the icon light flashes, the lamp is on, touch the switch again, tum off the lamp.

4. Precautions

  1. Range hood should be installed above the stove and close to fume.
  2. The outlet of fume exhaust pipe should be installed away from windy area, in order to avoid strong wind outside backflow and affecting the platoon lampblack effect.
  3. Fume exhaust should not be emitted into a hot fume vent that is used to exhaust coal gas or other smoke of fuel.
  4. Do not allow iron wire or any object to be inserted into the range hood to avoid electric shock and other hazards.(Fig. 4-1)
  5. The height between the body of the range hood and stove is suggested at the range of 65-75cm. This distance allows better performance of the range hood. (Fig. 4-2)
  6. Please install the range hood using a reliable socket fitted with earth wire to avoid electric shock (Fig. 4-3)
  7. If possible, the fume exhaust pipe should not be longer than 1.5m and the number of pipe elbow should be minimized.
  8. When cooking food by method of frying and deep frying, be careful to avoid sparkles of cooking flame getting into the range hood.
  9. Direct and continuous flame from gas fuel stove might overheat the range hood hanging above it. This might speed up the aging of the range hood and causes hazardous events easily (Fig. 4-4)
  10. When using pressure cooking pots which relief valve is broken, please turned off the power of the range hood to avoid the jet being sucked into the range hood (Fig. 4-5)
  11. If the power cord or plug is damaged, if must be replaced by manufacturer, its authorised service centre or similar qualified persons to avoid and electrical hazard.
  12. Range hood is used when gas of stove or other fuelis lit, please make sure ventilation in room is good.
  13. Children, physical or mental disabled person and the person have no professional knowledge should not operate this machine, unless with someone supervision or guidance.
  14. Without supervision, children should not operate this machine.
  15. Use this machine must be careful of the steam.
  16. Use this machine, the palpable parts will be hot.
  17. Do not spray the hood with water directly.
  18. Do not flambe under the range hood.

5. Maintenance

Attention!

  • Before cleaning the range hood, please pay attention to turn off the power and check whether the hook on the bottom plate is reliably connected with the body for safety.

Wear rubber gloves when doing maintenance job on the hood.
Points to note for disassembly and cleaning

  1. Please turn off the power of the range hood when replacing light bulb or disassembling it for cleaning.
  2. When cleaning the range hood, avoid important parts of the machine being dampened and get wet. This might cause electric shock or damage to the range hood.
  3. Use neutral detergent and soft cloth for cleaning the range hood. Do not use hard and coarse tools to avoid scratching the housing and other parts of the range hood.
  4. Handle parts with care to avoid damage.
  5. Clean the vane with care to avoid deformation and scratches, otherwise will cause noise or affect satisfactory performance of the range hood.
  6. After cleaning, install every part in position.

Daily maintenance

  1. When oil disc and oil cup are full, take down for cleaning. Wipe clean and put them back in place.
  2. Wipe clean the housing of the range hood and the oil net frequently.
  3. Use neutral detergent and soft damp cloth to wipe clean the housing and oil cups of the range hood.

Regular cleaning
To prevent fire hazard in case of oil build-up, the turbine impellers and other easily-soiled parts must be cleaned at least twice a month.

Employ professional technicians to carry out cleaning of the internal part of the range hood around every 6 months. Procedures as follows:

  1. Remove the oil cup and oil collectors.
  2. Take out two oil disc, press the dismantling button and Detach the lower cover.
  3. loosen the locking caps by turning the caps clockwise and take out the wind wheels;
  4. Use soft cloth to clean the inner and outer surface with soft liquid detergent and water.
  5. After cleaning, assemble the parts in reverse order as above shown, make sure that the lower cover is securely hooked with the hood body.

Remarks:

  1. If not following the above cleaning and maintenance procedures, the range hood has the risk of fire.
  2. When carrying out cleaning of the range hood, power to it must be disconnected and infiltration of detergent must not be allowed into the internal of the electrical appliance.

Good maintenance will ensure the best performance and prolong the life of the machine. Please maintain the machine periodically.

Turn off power supply before maintenance!

A. Maintenance is more important than replacement.
Always keep machine clean.
If needed, wipe machine housing and middle support plate with a dry cloth or a wet cloth with mild detergent. Always keep the machine in clean and sanitary condition.
B. Empty dirty oil collectors when they are 4/5 full to. Avoid overflow.
