Fronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter

  • Before starting work, switch off all devices and components involved, and disconnect them from the grid.
  • Secure all devices and components involved so they cannot be switched back on.
  • After opening the device, use a suitable measuring instrument to check that electrically charged components (such as capacitors) have been discharged.

  1. Wire infeed tube
  2. Rubber bushing
  3. Sensor with cable
  4. Inlet piece

Installing the OPT/i wire actual value transmitter

Preparation

  1. Switch off the power source and disconnect from the grid

  2. Disconnect the CWF 25i R wirefeeder from all system componentsFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG3

  3. Open side panel

  4. Remove the 5 TX20 screws

  5. Remove lid with side panelFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG4

  6. Remove the 2 TX20 screws

  7. Pull off the cover to the frontFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG5

  8. Remove the dummy coverFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG6

  9. Remove 2 TX25 screws
    The screws will be required for subsequent work steps.

  10. Remove existing wire infeed tubeFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG7

  11. Unscrew the infeed tube nozzle from the previously removed wire infeed tu-be

  12. Screw the infeed tube nozzle onto the inlet piece included in the scope of supply

Installing the OPT/i wire actual value transmit-ter

  1. Guide the sensor cable through the opening in accordance with the illustrationFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG8

  2. Insert the rubber bushing into the openingFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG9

  3. Route the sensor cable through the device to the opposite sideFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG10IMPORTANT! When plugging in the sensor cable, make sure that the clamping nose of the plug points towards the center of the PCB inside the device.

  4. Connect sensor cable on PCB SR63 to X13, e.g. with the aid of needle-nose pliersFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG11

  5. Fit cover

  6. Secure the cover using 2 TX 20 screws Tightening torque = 2 NmFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG12

  7. Insert the inlet piece into the motor plate using needle-nose pliersFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG13

  8. Insert sensor and hold from the frontFronius OPT-i Wire Actual Value Transmitter-FIG15

  9. Insert the wire infeed tube included in the scope of supply

  10. Secure the wire infeed tube using 2 TX20 screws Tightening torque = 3.5 Nm

Final tasks

  1. Put on lid with side panel
  2. Secure lid using 5 TX20 screws Tightening torque = 2 Nm
  3. Close the side panel
