Introduction
The 500 watt peak power of Pyle’s 10″ marine subwoofer with a 4 ohm impedance is available. It’s a terrific addition to your marine music audio system because it allows you to crank out some powerful low frequency bass volume to up the party feel. Your marine stereo sound system would benefit greatly from adding the Hydra subwoofer. A 10″ high-quality polypropylene cone is included on the white outdoor bass speaker. Anybody know whether the grill can be taken off?****
I have speakers like that, and the grill is removable.
what size hole should I drill for these? I’m just making sure it fits because I already have a hole in my boat.****
Any 10 inch hole will do. This ought to fit if you already own a 10″ speaker.
This sub can it get muddy****
My equipment hasn’t actually been covered in mud, but it has been repeatedly submerged in water. I put one in the speaker cooler I use when river rafting, and I haven’t run into any problems. Just be sure to cover it with a grill for safety.
Please give me the box measurements for this subwoofer both with and without vents. It was missing from the instructions.****
Without ports, it should be one foot wide by one foot high by one foot deep. By adding additional polyfill, you’ll also get a bass sound that is more tightly focused.
What cutout diameter is required?****

Because you usually get what you pay for. Years ago, I used mine in a hipper stereo. As long as you have a nice amp for it, it still sounds good.
How far do these go?****
They deliver strong bass. They don’t have twelves or anything, but they work well.
Are the two speakers pushing 500 watts or one speaker?****

My guess is that it is on the box. However, I can’t recall.
Does anyone know this sub’s RMS rating?****
It should be 250 watts, but it isn’t. It’s probably closer to 150w RMS, and even 175w would be a significant MAYBE. I have this in my river cooler, which is amazing, I’ll admit. excellent for that. The pricing is also difficult to beat. However, if you intend to use this on a boat, I recommend prioritizing quality over number.
Do you guys think this will function on a 400 watt amp jet ski?****
I’m not sure, in response. It’s in our 22-foot pontoon boat.
