SCOOTER OPERATION

  1. Put one of your feet onto the Sensor pad and kick the scooter to give it a minimum speed of 5km/h, then the power will kick in.
  2. If you want to slow down, tap the brake pad and this will shut off the throttle, release the pad to re-activate the throttle.
  3. If you want to stop completely, keep pressing the brake pad until the scooter comes to a stop.
  4. In case of emergency, you can jump off the scooter, and the Urban will stop running immediately.

FREE ROLLING MODE

The Urban has a free rolling mode. When the battery power drops below 10% it will enter free-rolling mode automatically and will not provide any power. In this mode, the motor has zero resistance, and the user can use it as regular non-electric kick scooter. This will last for around 10 minutes until the motor is powered off completely.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

BATTERY
The battery is a 36V 93.6Wh 18650 Lithium lon pack (LiFePO4).

REAR HUB MOTOR
If the rubber on the rear hub motor tread wears down to less than 1mm, it is time to replace the tyre.

WHEEL BEARINGS
If excess water or dirt get into the wheel bearings, they can start to make a grinding or rubbing noise. Regular cleaning or greasing of the bearings can help prevent this. If wear becomes too much, it is time to replace the bearings.

SPECIFICATION

Range, max speed and hill grade are all based on a 75kg(165lb) person riding at 12kmh/8mph on flat smooth terrain.
