The AYO device is a wearable technology that utilizes light therapy to improve energy levels, sleep quality, and mood. It is designed to be used in accordance with the instructions, warnings, and cautions provided in the product box. The device should not be
used by children under 4 years of age and certain individuals with specific health conditions.

Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions, warnings, and cautions before using the AYO device.
  • Keep children under 4 years of age away from the device at all times.
  • Do not use the AYO device without adult supervision if you are under 18 years old.
  • Avoid using the device if you have light sensitivity, epilepsy, reduced physical or mental ability, or insufficient experience and knowledge to operate such a device.
  • Consult with a physician before using the AYO device if you have bipolar disorder, seasonal affective disorder, a history of eye disease in the family, an eye disease yourself, or if you use photosensitizing medications.
  • Stop using the AYO device immediately if you experience discomfort such as headache, dry mouth, eye-strain, nausea, or hyperactivity. Contact your physician for advice if adverse reactions continue.
  • Avoid staring directly into the source of light itself.
  • Use the AYO device for a maximum of 1 hour per day.
  • Avoid using the device before sleep or during your biological night as it may affect your sleep timing, sleep quality, and ability to fall asleep.
  • Charge the AYO device only with the provided charging cable. Do not use damaged or worn cords or plugs.
  • Do not use the AYO device if it is damaged or not working properly. Contact your retailer for assistance.
  • Avoid exposing the AYO device to high temperatures, direct sunlight, heat sources, and open fire.
  • Keep the device dry and do not immerse or expose it to water or moisture.
  • Avoid using the device in situations where it may compromise your ability to perform essential tasks or put you or others at risk of injury, such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery.

  4. Charge the AYO device using the provided charging cable. Do not use damaged or worn cords or plugs.
  5. Place the AYO device on your head according to the instructions provided in the product box.
  6. Turn on the device by following the instructions in the product manual.
  7. Wear the device for a maximum of 1 hour per day, following your preferred schedule.
  8. If you experience any discomfort or adverse reactions, stop using the device immediately and consult with your physician.
  9. Store the AYO device in a dry area away from high temperatures and direct sunlight.

SAFETY INSTRUCTION

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS, WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS BEFORE YOU USE YOUR AYO DEVICE
AYO is an advanced wearable technology that provides users with a portable and personal light experience. AYO is not a medical device and is not intended to cure, treat or diagnose any disease or medical condition. The effect of AYO’s technology may vary depending on individual application and duration of use. Warnings and cautions set forth in the product information do not constitute medical advice and cannot substitute consulting a doctor. We recommend that you seek medical advice before using AYO’s technology, if you are not certain of its potential interaction with medicines, medical conditions, or diseases.
The AYO technology should be used in strict accordance with the instructions, warnings, and cautions provided in the product box.
Failure to do so may result in injury or damage.

WARNINGS
Children under 4 years of age must be kept away from the AYO device at all times.

The AYO technology is not recommendable for use by:

  • Children less than 18 years old without adult supervision;
  • Individuals with light sensitivity, epilepsy or a history of seizures;
  • Individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental ability, or by individuals with insufficient experience and / or knowledge to operate such a device.

Consult with a physician before using the AYO technology:

  • If you suffer from bipolar disorder (manic depression), SAD (seasonal affective disorder) or if you have a history of eye disease in the family;
  • If you have an eye disease (glaucoma, retinitis or retinopathy, or macular degeneration);
  • If you use photosensitizing medications as light might change the effectiveness of some medications (e.g. antibiotics, antihistamines, chemotherapy drugs, cardiac, diabetic and skin medications, etc.

STOP USING THE AYO DEVICE

  • STOP USING THE AYO device, if you experience any discomfort such as headache, dry mouth, eye-strain, nausea or hyperactivity. These adverse reactions are generally mild and transient in nature, so you can attempt using the device in a few days. If the adverse reactions continue, you should stop using the device immediately and contact your physician for advice.
  • As with any intense light source, DO NOT stare directly into the source of light itself. DO NOT USE the AYO device for more than 1 hour per day. In addition, using AYO before sleep or during your biological night may affect your sleep (sleep timing, sleep quality and ability to fall asleep).
  • DO NOT charge the AYO device with anything other than the provided charging cable. Never use damaged or worn cords or plugs as this could result in electric shock, burns and or fire.
  • DO NOT USE, if the AYO device is damaged or not working properly in any way and contact your retailer for assistance.
  • DO NOT expose the AYO device to high temperatures or direct sunlight and DO NOT USE near heat sources and devices. Never use the device near open fire. The AVO wearable has an internal rechargeable battery, and batteries can sometimes overheat, causing fire or bursting.
  • Keep the AYO device dry. Storage areas must be dry. DO NOT immerse or expose to water or moisture (e.g. do not use in the bath, pool, etc.).
  • DO NOT USE in situations where the device or light stimulation might compromise your ability to perform essential tasks or put you or other persons at risk of injury such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery.
  • DO NOT open or modify the AYO device. Changing any characteristic of the original design (mechanics, electronics, software, etc.) could result in malfunction, loss of functionality, and even compromised product safety. Any modification of the AVO device will lead to complete loss of warranty and responsibility by the manufacturer.

CAUTIONS
When not using the device for a prolonged period of time, make sure to charge it fully before storing in order to maintain battery health. It is advisable to recharge your device at least once a month when not in use to ensure optimal operational performance and battery health.
Allow the AYO device to rest for at least 1 hour after it has been moved from cold to warm surroundings in order to mitigate risk of water condensation inside of the device.
Avoid applying mechanical stress to the wearable such as straining or bending the device’s arms or applying any type of static force.
DO NOT USE the AYO device across the chest, neck, or around the mouth.
DO NOT USE the AYO device while wearing glasses with photochromatic or tinted glasses.
Avoid placing the AYO device in contact with chemicals (such as hairspray). Clean by wiping with a dry cloth, avoiding the light-generating area.
The AYO device is intended to be used by only one person. If, nevertheless, you share the device with someone, please pay attention to ensure the hygiene of the AYO device.
The manufacturer makes no and disclaims all warranties of any kind, either express or implied, oral or written, or statutory with respect to the AYO technology and device including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or related to product effectiveness, efficiency, performance and improvement. To the maximum extent permitted by the applicable law the manufacturer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damage or loss (including any loss of profit or business) arising out of or in connection with the sale, use, misuse or any defects of the AYO technology and device under any legal theory, whether under breach of contract, tort (including liability in negligence), strict liability or otherwise, regardless whether such loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable, and in no event shall liability exceed the original purchase price of the device. If any term under this clause is held to be illegal or unenforceable, a substitute term shall be deemed to have been inserted which is not illegal and best reflects the meaning of the voided term and the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply in those jurisdictions.

SERVICING AND WARRANTY

Refer all servicing of the AYO device to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the AYO device has been damaged in any way, such as:

  • If the device has been exposed to rain or moisture;
  • If the device does not operate normally when the operating instructions are followed;
  • If the device has been dropped or its housing has been damaged.

The manufacturer only guarantees the safety, reliability and performance of this device under the following conditions:

  • Installation, extension, re-adjustment, modifications or repairs are carried out by the manufacturer or by authorized personnel;
  • The device is used strictly in accordance with the operating instructions.
  • For your warranty to be valid, the AYO device must always be stored when not used in the AYO case to protect against heat, humidity and accidental breakage.
