Service and warranty

We provide a 2-year warranty on our products. Customer must be able to show proof of purchase when claiming warranty. Product defects must be reported to us within 2 years from the date of purchase. Please note that the warranty does not apply: for damage caused by improper use or repair; for parts subject to wear and tear; for defects known to the customer at the time of purchase; for defects caused by the customer’s own fault, for damage caused by third parties.

Intended use
An electric kettle is an everyday kitchen appliance used to heat water. It is
designed to heat water to boiling point. Its most common use is to brew hot
beverages such as tea and instant coffee. But it can also be used to boil
water for cooking purposes; for example, to cook pasta, rice, or other grains,
or for blanching vegetables. In addition, it can also be used to sterilize
water.
The supplier is released from liability for any injury or damage caused by
using the product beyond its intended use. Any modification of the product may
affect your safety and warranty.

Always observe the following precautions when using ‘the Kettle’, hereinafter
referred to as ‘the product’.
General
- If this is your first time using the product, it is important to read the user manual and instructions carefully.
- If the product is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged, do not use the product and consult our customer service.
- Before each use, check the parts and accessories for damage or wear (cracks/ breakage) that may adversely affect its operation and, if so, replace them with original or manufacturer-recommended parts and accessories.
- Do not use accessories not offered by the supplier. They may pose a danger to the user and damage the product.
- Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this user manual.
- Do not disassemble, repair or restore the product. Doing so may cause damage to the product. For your own safety, these parts should only be replaced by authorized service personnel. Always steer the product to a service center for repairs to prevent damage and personal injury.
- Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with improper use of the product. Misuse of the product may result in personal injury and damage to the product.
- Before first use, remove all packaging material and any stickers.
- The product is suitable for indoor use only. Do not use the product outdoors. This may cause damage to the product.
- Keep the product away from heat, areas where the temperature is relatively high, and heat sources such as ovens.
- Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, humidity, or wet environments for an extended period of time.
- The outside of the product may become hot when the product is in use. So be alert when touching the outside!
- Do not place metal objects such as blades, forks, spoons and lids on the product, these can become hot. So be alert when touching these objects.
- Do not open the lid of the product while the product is still heating up. The hot steam can cause burns.
- The water is hot when it has just boiled. Pour out the water carefully to avoid personal injury.
Persons
- If burns occur, immediately run lukewarm water over the affected body part. Do not stop to remove clothing and seek medical attention quickly.
- This product may be used by children 8 years of age and older provided they are properly supervised and instructed in the safe use of the product and understand its potential hazards. Cleaning and maintenance of the product should not be performed by children unless they are over 8 years of age and supervised.
- The product may be used by people with physical or mental disabilities provided that they are properly supervised and instructed in the safe use of the product and understand its potential hazards.
- Keep the product and cord out of the reach of children.
- To avoid electric shock, do not allow pets or small children to chew on the power cord.
- Do not allow children to play with the product. Use and store the product out of the reach of children.
- Place the product out of reach of (domestic) animals.
Use
- Do not use the product near a bathtub, shower, swimming pool, or near a (laundry) tub filled with water. Do not touch the product and power cord with wet hands. Do not allow the product to come into contact with water. Do not immerse the product in water. If water does get inside or on the product, turn off the product immediately and contact our customer service department.
- Make sure the water in the product is always between the minimum and maximum markings. If there is more water in it, the product will boil over and hot water will spray over the edge.
- Parts of the product will become hot. Do not clean the product while it is still hot. Wait until the product has cooled down before cleaning it.
- The product becomes hot when it is on. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Do not use the product if you are sensitive to heat. Do not touch the hot parts of the product. Use only the handle or knob.
- Do not touch the product during operation, the product becomes hot.
- There may be a burn hazard from hot parts of the product during and after use. Grasp the product only by the integrated handle. Steam may escape if the lid is opened when it is still hot. Take necessary precautions, such as an appropriate oven glove, to avoid burns.
- Hot steam escapes from the product when the water is boiling or has just boiled. Avoid any contact with this hot steam.
- Do not use the product if the water tank is empty. This may cause damage to the heating elements.
- Never use the product to heat liquids other than water such as coffee, tea or alcohol.
- The product is not intended for heating food. This may cause damage to the product.
- Keep the product away from extreme heat sources or direct sunlight.
- The product becomes hot when it is on. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Do not use the product if you are sensitive to heat. Do not touch the hot parts of the product.
- Do not place the product on stoves, other hobs or microwaves.
- Do not use the product if it is broken or cracked. If the surface of the product breaks or cracks, unplug the product and contact a qualified technician.
- Do not cover the product when it is on. Never place pillows or blankets on or against the product. This may cause a fire hazard, electric shock, personal injury or damage to the product.
- Always place the product on a level, stable and non-flammable surface.
Electrical
- If the power fails during use, turn off the product immediately and unplug the product.
- If the surface of the product is cracked, turn off the product to avoid electric shock.
- Check both power cord and plug regularly for signs of damage or wear, and if there is any, do not use the product and have the power cord and/or plug replaced or repaired by authorized service personnel.
- Do not immerse the product, power cord or plug in water. If water does get inside or on the product, turn the product off immediately and contact our customer service department.
- Use and store the product so that the cables cannot be damaged.
- To avoid electric shock, do not use the product if you suspect the power cord or plug is damaged. A damaged power cord or plug should be repaired or replaced by a professional (an authorized distributor).
- Do not unplug the product by pulling the power cord. This may cause fire or electric shock.
- If black smoke comes out of the product, unplug the product immediately. Wait until the smoke is gone before removing the contents of the product and contact our customer service department.
- Do not leave the cable(s) hanging over the edge of a table or countertop.
- Do not place the cable(s) on hot surfaces or near oil.
- Do not tuck the cable(s) under rugs or blankets. Never lay the cable(s) in a walkway.
- Do not move the product by pulling the cord or twist the cord.
- Before connecting the product, make sure that the mains voltage indicated on the rating plate matches that of your mains supply.
- Make sure that you do not trip over the cable(s) and that the cable(s) are not kinked, twisted, or stuck.
- Do not use an extension cord. Make sure the product is plugged into a grounded outlet to which no other appliances are connected.
- The product is not suitable to be operated via an external timer or a separate remote control.
- The product should only be connected to a grounded 220-240V outlet.
- Do not leave the product unattended when in use. If you are not using the product for a long time, turn the product off and unplug it from the wall outlet.
- Do not move the product when it is on. Always turn the product off before moving or cleaning it.
- Turn the product off and unplug the product when not in use or cleaning. Let the product cool down completely before cleaning the product.
- Unplug and turn off the product when not in use and before cleaning the product.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ATTENTION!
- Always fill the product with cold water.
- Make sure the water is always below the MAX level.
- Turn the product off before removing it from the base.
- Make sure the lid is tightly closed before turning on the product.
- Make sure the base and housing never get wet.
- Do not open the lid when pouring out the water. The water is hot and can cause burns!
How to use
Note
- If you are going to use the product for the first time, you should boil the water 2 times without drinking it. After boiling, pour out the water and rinse the product well before using it again. This will clean any residue left over during production.
- Fill the product with cold water below the MAX level.
- Place the product on the base.
- Press the on/off switch down. The indicator lights up.
- When the water is boiled, the product automatically turns off.
- Remove the product from the base and pour out the water.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Clean the product with a damp, clean cloth and dry it thoroughly. Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents.
ATTENTION!
- Before cleaning, unplug the product and make sure it has cooled down.
- Never immerse any part of the cord, plug, base or water tank in water or any other liquid.
Cleaning the exterior
- Wipe the outside of the product with a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.
- Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, they may damage the finish of the product.
Cleaning the interior
Over time, lime builds up on the inside of the product. It is very important to clean this in a timely manner to prevent permanent damage.
- Fill the product halfway with cold water and add the juice of a lemon.
- Bring the water to a boil and let it stand for 15 minutes before discarding.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 several times, using only cold water.
STORAGE
Store the product in a clean and dry place. Do not store the product in extreme high or extreme low temperatures.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLE
Think about the environment and contribute to a cleaner living environment! You can contact your local council for all information on disposal options for discarded products.
Disposal
At the end of its life, do not dispose of the product with normal household waste, but hand it in at a government designated collection point for recycling.
Dispose of the packaging and accessories in accordance with the environmental regulations in force in your local council. Pay attention to the symbols on the different packaging materials and – if necessary – dispose of them separately. The packaging materials are marked with letters and numbers: 1-7: plastic, 20-22: paper and cardboard, 80-98 composite materials.
Electric appliance
The symbol shown here with the crossed-out garbage can indicates that this product is subject to European Directive (EU) 2012/19/EU. This directive states that at the end of its service life, you must not dispose of this product with normal household waste, but hand it in at a government designated collection point for recycling.

- A: The Waterkoker is designed for use with cold water only. Do not use it with hot water to avoid damage to the product.
