Intended Use

This product is exclusively intended as a two-way communication system over large distances of up to 10 km.
The product can be charged via the USB-C port on the side of the product.
This product is intended for indoor and outdoor use.
Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty, and proper functioning.
The product is not intended for professional use.

Safety Instructions

WARNING

  • Do not use the product at locations where the use of wireless devices is prohibited due to potential interference with other electronic devices, which may cause safety hazards.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.
  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
  • Do not open the product, there are no user serviceable parts inside.
  • Do not use any cell or battery that is not designed for use with the product.
  • Do not mix cells or batteries of different manufacture, capacity, size or type within the product.
  • Only use the cell or battery in the application for which it was intended.
  • Only use the battery type(s) recommended in this document.
  • Observe the plus (+) and minus (–) marks on the cell or battery and product and ensure correct use.
  • Only use the provided USB cable.
  • Secondary cells and batteries need to be charged before use. Always use the correct charger and refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or equipment manual for proper charging instructions.
  • Battery usage by children should be supervised.
  • Do not dismantle, open or shred batteries.
  • Do not subject cells or batteries to mechanical shock.
  • Do not short-circuit a cell or battery.
  • In the event of a battery leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
  • Keep cells and batteries clean and dry.
  • When possible, remove the batteries from the product when not in use.
  • Wipe the cell or battery terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
  • Do not store cells or batteries haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by conductive materials.
  • Seek medical advice immediately if a cell or battery has been swallowed.
  • Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents when cleaning the product.

Charging The Product

**** Only use the provided USB charging cable.

  1. Insert the USB-C – USB cable Ap into the USB-C input Ai.
  2. Insert the other end of the cable into a USB adapter (not included).
  3. Connect the USB adapter to a power outlet.

Using the product

Power button A 6| Press and hold the power button A6 for 2 seconds to switch on the product. The product beeps once. Press and hold the power button A6 for 3 seconds to switch off the product. The product beeps once.

Menu / lock button A7| Press the menu / lock button A7 to cycle through the menu items:

  • Select a channel.

  • Select the CTCSS/DCS code.

    • CTCSS sub-codes: 1-38.
    • DCS sub-codes: 39-99 .
  • Select the VOX settings.

  • Select the call tone. (CA)
    Switch the key tone on or off. (TO)

  • Switch the roger beep on or off. (RO) Press and hold the menu / lock button A7 for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the product.

Call button A9| Press the call button A9 to send a call tone over the selected channel.
PTT button A2| Press and hold the PTT button A2 to send a voice message over the selected channel.
Up button A5| Press the up button A5 to increase the volume. Press and hold the up button A5 for 2 seconds to scan for radio channels.
Down button A8| Press the down button A8 to decrease the volume. Press and hold the down button A8 for 3 seconds to activate the monitor mode. Keep holding the button to stay in the monitor mode.
Display A1| The display A1 automatically lights up when a button is pressed. The display A1 automatically switches off after 6 seconds of inactivity.
Lamp button A4| Press and hold the lamp button A4 to switch on the lamp.
Belt clip Ae| Press the latch and slide the belt clip Ae upwards to remove the belt clip. Slide the belt clip Ae into the slot on the back of the product until it snaps into place.
Battery Compartment Au| If the battery is low, the battery icon flashes on the display A1 and the product beeps to indicate that the batteries must be recharged.

Frequency Channel

The product meets all required standards for radio equipment using PMR 446 frequencies as authorized. The use of this two-way radio product involves the public airways and the use of the public airways may be subject to local laws or regulations. Contact your radio licensing authority for more information.

Disposal

The product is designated for separate collection at an appropriate collection point. Do not dispose of the product with household waste.
