Product Information

Screw Mount

  1. Drill two mounting holes and one wire passage hole on the flat mounting surface. Use a grommet for wire passage if needed.
  2. Route wires through the tape pad and wire passage hole.
  3. Secure the lighthead with provided screws.

Quick Mount

  1. Drill a wire passage hole on the flat mounting surface. Use a grommet for wire passage if needed.
  2. Clean the surface with an alcohol prep pad.
  3. Apply tape liner to the lighthead and mounting surface.
  4. Route wires through tape pad and wire passage hole.
  5. Press the lighthead firmly onto the surface for 30 seconds.

Simultaneous or Alternating Flash

  1. Enter SETTING MODE by powering up with WHITE and BROWN wires simultaneously.
  2. To change flash groups, momentarily apply BROWN wire to +VDC.
  3. Save and exit SETTING MODE by disconnecting all power.

Flash Pattern Selection

  • While in warning mode, apply BROWN wire to +VDC to cycle through flash patterns.

Reset to Factory Default Settings

  1. Apply +VDC to WHITE and BROWN wires simultaneously to enter SETTING MODE.
  2. Momentarily apply BROWN wire to +VDC for more than 5 seconds to reset.

CAUTION: Overtightening mounting screws can damage the lighthead. Use a torque wrench within the suggested range.

FAQ

  • Q: How do I synchronize multiple lightheads?
  • A: Connect the BROWN wires of all light heads for synchronization. Ensure all light heads are set to the same flash pattern.
  • Q: What should I do if the lighthead is mounted on a non-flat surface?
  • A: Mounting on non-flat surfaces may result in bending or water ingress. Ensure the mounting surface is even and flat to avoid issues.

Wiring

Connect BROWN wires of all light heads for synchronization. (All light heads should be set to the same flash pattern)

CAUTION: Ensure that the mounting surface is evenly flat; mounting this lighthead on non-flat surfaces may result in bending and/or water ingress.
NOTE: When using an adhesive mount, ensure that the mounting surface is clean, dry, and well-unified before mounting.

Operation

For Simultaneous or Alternating Flash

  1. Enter SETTING MODE by powering up with WHITE and BROWN wires simultaneously; Remove the BROWN wire from +VDC, and the lighthead will display short flashes (single or double) :
    • Single flash = Group 1 ˙Double flash = Group 2
  2. Momentarily apply BROWN wire to +VDC again to change Groups:
    • Lightheads of the same Group will flash together.
    • Lightheads of the different Groups will flash alternately.
  3. Save and exit SETTING MODE by disconnecting all power.

For Flash Pattern Selection
While activating the warning mode, momentarily apply the BROWN wire to +VDC:

  • Once to the next pattern.
  • Quick three times to FP#1 (see Flash Pattern Chart).

Reset to Factory Default Settings

  1. Apply +VDC to WHITE and BROWN wires simultaneously to enter SETTING MODE;
  2. Remove BROWN wire from +VDC then momentarily apply to +VDC again for more than 5 seconds. The lighthead will display fast short flashes to signify restoring successfully.

CAUTION

  • Overtightening the mounting screws could damage the lighthead and void the warranty.
  • Use a torque wrench, to tighten the mounting screws with the suggested range of torque value: For #6 mounting screws, 6 to 7.8 lbs-in (6.9 to 9 kgf-cm).

Installation

Screw Mount

  1. Drill two mounting holes and one wire passage hole on the mounting surface. Make sure no vehicle parts could be damaged by the drilling process. (Thoroughly deburr holes and use a grommet for wire passage hole if needed)
  2. Route the wires through the tape pad and the wire passage hole. Secure the lighthead by using the screws provided.

Quick Mount

  1. Drill a wire passage hole on the mounting surface.
    Make sure no vehicle parts could be damaged by the drilling process. (Thoroughly deburr hole and use a grommet for the wire passage hole if needed)

  2. Clean and dry the mounting surface with an alcohol prep pad. (or a 50:50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water)

  3. Remove the tape liner to apply the tape to the lighthead.

  4. Remove another tape liner from the tape.

  5. Route the wires through the tape pad and the wire passage hole.

  6. Apply the lighthead to the surface and press it firmly for 30 seconds.

  7. Full adhesion and bonding will be achieved after 72 hours at room temperature.

Application Example

NOTE: lighthead may be mounted in any direction as shown in the picture above.
