* Note: The stated operating times are based on ETA‘s internal testing and only apply to a new and fully charged battery. Depending on the age and wear of the battery, the operating time decreases.

MOUNTING THE PLASTIC BRACKET TO THE WALL
Mount the plastic bracket I to the wall using the fastener included J, K or a similar fastener provided by you.

Caution

  • Make sure that the el. socket is close to the mounted plastic bracket.
  • Make sure that no electricity, telephone or water lines etc. are routed under the plaster near the area where the plastic bracket is mounted to the wall.

USE OF VACUUM CLEANER (Fig. 4 – 5)

Let the vacuum cleaner charge sufficiently prior to using.

CONTROL
ON / OFF button (A1)

  • press the button to switch the vacuum cleaner on,
  • press the button to switch the vacuum cleaner off.

Button “ SPEED ” – suction power adjustment (B1)

  • touch short the button to increase/reduce the suction power (suction power is indicated by lighting LEDs B2 (MIN / ECO / MAX).
  • MIN /II = low- mode,
  • ECO / IIII= economic mode,
  • MAX /IIIIII = high mode.
Notes: The vacuum cleaner is set to ECO suction power when switched on.

Caution

  • Floor nozzle D have electronic protection against rotation brush blocking. If the rotation brush has been blocked during operation, observe the following instructions.
  • If the floor nozzle rotation brush D has been blocked, LEDs D2 go off and the brush stops rotating. Switch off the device and remove the cause, then the device can be switched on again.

Full dust container and HEPA filter signaling
If the red light on the A2 control panel lights up permanently, the filter system must be cleaned even if the container is not yet full. Do not take into account the occasional illumination of the indicator light during vacuuming. If the suction opening/airways become blocked, the overload protection switches off the motor (valid when the suction power is set to MIN). If this situation occurs, switch off the vacuum cleaner and remove the cause of the blockage and then you can switch the vacuum cleaner on again.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

DUST CONTAINER (A4)
If you find out that the suction performance of the vacuum cleaner A is reduced, make sure that the dust container is not full and if necessary, empty it (follow the procedure indicated in Fig. 6). Put the container above a dust bit and press button A6; thus you will lift off bottom and throw the dust in common municipal waste. Snap the bottom shut to secure it in the opposite direction.

REPLACING THE HEPA FILTER (A7)
When removing the HEPA filter, proceed according to Fig. 7. Insert the new/clean HEPA filter into the dust container a reverse order.

Notes

  • For hygienic purposes we recommend that you empty the container and clean the HEPA filter after each use.
  • Maximum suction power can be achieved when the HEPA filter are clean and the dustbag is empty.
  • Every time you empty the dust container, we recommend that you also clean the HEPA filter.
  • When you are vacuuming very fine dust, the HEPA filter pores might get clogged. This reduces the air flow and reduces the suction power. In such a case, the filter and the separator need to be cleaned even though the container is not full yet.

Clean the surface of the vacuum cleaner and adaptor with a soft wet cloth. Do not use any rough and aggressive detergents!

Accessories
After any vacuuming it is recommended to check visually the brushes or collectors for possible impurities. If there are some impurities, remove them.

Floor nozzle with rotary brush / Small turbo brush
Remove any dirt (especially hair, animal hairs, etc.) stuck to the brush with the cleaning tool L (or other suitable). To make cleaning easier, the brush can be removed (Fig. 9). Now you may easily clean the brush (rinse it in running water). After wash the roller brush, please dry the shaft at end of brush (milky plastic location) with damp cloth to avoid rusting. After the maintenance, apply a reverse procedure to install the brush in the nozzle and secure it.

Caution
Do not water the floor nozzle D and the small direct-drive turbo brush G in running water directly, it will damage motor and PCB.

Dust container
Clean the surface and the inside of the container A4 with a soft wet cloth.

Separator (Fig. 8, 10)
Rinse the separator A8 under running water. Allow the parts to dry out properly before their re-use.

Caution

  • When removing the filter system (i.e. separator A8, HEPA filter A7) and subsequent cleaning of the container A4, it is necessary to keep the vacuum cleaner upright and never turn the vacuum cleaner upside down.
  • Never rinse the container A4 under running water and never immerse it in water.

HEPA filter (Fig. 8, 10)
Shake out the input HEPA filter A7 gently, or blow it out. Alternatively, use cleaning tool L to clean it. If the HEPA filter is very dirty, you can rinse it under running lukewarm water. Hold the filter in such a way that the pleated side points upwards and the water flows parallel to the pleats. Hold the filter at an angle so that the water washes away the dirt inside the pleats. Turn the filter 180° and let the water flow along the pleats in the opposite direction. Continue this process until the filter is clean. After drying, insert the HEPA filter back to the container in the opposite way.

Caution

  • Do not clean the filter with any aggressive washing or cleaning detergents or hot water.
  • If you clean the HEPA filter with water, its filtration properties will deteriorate. The filter cannot be washed more than three times. After that, a new filter needs to be purchased ETA123300010.
  • We recommend that you replace the HEPA filter twice a year.
  • The filter is not dish-washer safe.
  • Failure to clean or replace the filter as required may cause a defect of the vacuum cleaner!

Storage (Fig. 12)
Store the appliance thoroughly clean on a dry, dustless place out of reach of children and persons sui juris. Do not put the assembled rod vacuum cleaner on an uneven surface!
The cleaner must be placed on a flat surface where there is no danger of knocking over.

For easier release, put your foot on the floor nozzle D and pull the handle A9 backwards to unlock the nozzle. which is accompanied by characteristic sound (clicking), (fig. 13). The appliance is now ready for use. Insert one of the accessories (small brush E, long crevice nozzle F) into wall bracket I.
