Product Usage Instructions

Assemble Side Walls

  1. Lay one LH Leg (A) and one RH Leg (B) down on a smooth, flat surface.
  2. lide two Large T&G Boards (F) into the upper level and one Large T&G Board (F) into the lower shelf with the tongue pointed up level so that the LH and RH Legs are 41.5″ apart.

Install Tie Beam

  1.  Choose bed depth (6, 8, 10).
  2. Fasten one Tie Beam (C) to the legs at desired bed depth using 1 Screws (E) on each leg, ensuring the open joint points up to the top.
  3. Attach another Tie Beam (C) to the bottom for the shelf using 1 Screws (E) on each leg.
  4. Repeat steps 1-6 for the remaining legs.

Install Base Boards

  • Lay six Medium T&G Boards (G) on the shelf base with the tongue side first.
  • Evenly space the boards within base, keeping the boards locked together.
  •  Repeat for the Bed Base.

Install Top Cap
Slide four Double Top Caps (I) on to the top of each  post.
Secure with three 3/4 Screws (J) on each cap using the pilot holes.

Q: Can the top T &G boards be removed to fasten on cross beams if needed?
A: Yes, the top T&G boards can be removed to facilitate fastening on cross beams if necessary.

  • A. Left Hand Leg (Qty 2)
  • B. Right Hand Leg (Qty 2)
  • C. Tie Beam (Qty 4)
  • D. Cross Beam (Qty 4)
  • E. 1” Screws (Qty 32)
  • F. Large T&G Board (Qty 6)
  • G. Medium T&G Board (Qty 12)
  • H. Short T&G Board (Qty 6)
  • I. Top Cap (Qty 4)
  • J. ¾” Screws (Qty 12)

Tools Required: Phillips Head #2 Screwdriver

ASSEMBLE SIDE WALLS

  1. Lay one LH Leg (A) and one RH Leg (B) down on a smooth, flat surface

  2. Slide two Large T&G Boards (F) into the upper level and one Large T&G Board (F) into the lower shelf with the tongue pointed up level so that the LH and RH Legs are 41.5” apart
    INSTALL TIE BEAM

  3. Choose bed depth (6”, 8”, 10”)

  4. Fasten one Tie Beam (C) to the legs at desired bed depth using 1” Screws (E) on each leg, ensuring the open joint points up to the top (see below)

  5. Attach another Tie Beam (C) to the bottom for the shelf using 1” Screws (E) on each leg

  6. Repeat steps 1-6 for the remaining legs

INSTALL SHORT BOARDS

  1. Carefully stand-up the side walls

  2. Slide two Short T&G Boards (H) into the upper level and one Short T&G Board (H) into the lower shelf level so that the two side walls are 20.25” apart
    INSTALL CROSS RAILS

  3. Lock the two sidewalls together by sliding the four Cross Beams (D) into the slots of the Tie Beams (C) until they meet

  4.  Fasten Cross Beams (D) into the legs using 1” Screws (E)
    INSTALL BASE BOARDS

  5. Lay six Medium T&G Boards (G) on the shelf base with the tongue side first

  6. Evenly space the boards within base, keeping the boards locked together

  7. Repeat for the Bed Base
    INSTALL TOP CAP

  8. Slide four Double Top Caps (I) on to the top of each post

  9. Secure with three 3/4” Screws (J) on each cap using the pilot holes

To Fill Planter: Fill Planter with lightweight potting soil mix, avoid using heavy soil mixtures that contain clay, sand and/or gravel. Drill ¼” holes in base boards for additional drainage.
