General warnings

General Information

Dear Customer, Thank you for choosing our product. Carefully read the instructions before installing and/or using the appliance.

  • The product is intended for the general public.
  • It is recommended to have all installation and adjustment operations performed by qualified personnel.
  • Once the product is removed from the package check its integrity. If the product is damaged, do not use it and contact the Codriver assistance network.
  • The unit must be installed in compliance with all local and national technical, plant and safety regulations.
  • Before making any connection make sure the supply voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the characteristic label placed on the appliance.
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified personnel in order to prevent any risk.
  • For correct operation, use a socket dedicated exclusively to the unit and always provide a grounding system.
  • The appliance must be connected to the mains supply by means of an omni polar switch with a minimum contact opening distance of at least 3 mm or a device allowing complete disconnection of the appliance under the conditions of overvoltage category III.
  • Unsupervised children under the age of 3 must be kept at a safe distance from the appliance.
  • This appliance cannot be used by children aged 8 years or older and by people with reduced physical, sensory and mental capabilities,  or with no experience and the required knowledge unless they are supervised or they have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance and have understood inherent hazards.
  • Children must not play with the appliance;
  • Cleaning and maintenance operations intended to be carried out by the user must not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • The appliance must be positioned so that the electronic control can perfectly detect the room temperature, far from external heat sources.
  • Do not pour water or other liquids onto the unit, especially on the electrical and electronic components.

Manufacturer liability

  • use of the appliance other than intended;

The operating instructions in this booklet refer to the Stand-Alone control thermostat (user interface) for Codrivers Ventana fan coils.

User information

To clean the display and other areas of the plastic covers, use a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cloths or sponges. Never use detergents or aggressive substances. Avoid any other base or acid solution, chemical, industrial or other substances, aggressive or corrosive substances (bleach, ammonia, baking soda, etc.).

Installer information

This product is subject to the general warranty conditions set forth in the current official Codriver catalogue. The warranty is valid from the date of delivery and is void if the production batch label is tampered with and/ or removed. The warranty applies after the examination of defects and their causes. The material to be replaced or repaired shall be delivered ex- warehouse at the dealer. The commitment to provide the warranty is subject to the conditions and requirements described below. The product has not been damaged during transport, handling or installation and no repair and/or tampering has been carried out by third parties without express authorisation. Before installation, the material has been stored in good conditions and under shelter form the weather. Product installation must be carried out by qualified personnel and in compliance with these instructions and all national and local regulations concerning installation and safety.

Wall mounting

In addition to being installed on the fan coil, the control thermostat (user interface) can be electrically connected and fixed to the wall using a 65×38 mm round flush-mounted electrical box (not supplied). For fixing, proceed as follows:

  1. Exert a traverse force on the user interface to open it.

  2. Connect the thermostat according to the wiring diagram.

  3. Secure the closing plate to the wall with the screws provided and, exerting an opposing force, close the user interface.

Electrical connection

Before making the electrical connection, make sure that the appliance rated voltage (230 V AC 50 Hz) is equal to the mains voltage, and that the socket is able to provide the rated current corresponding to the maximum power of the model selected. Moreover, such socket must be controlled through a double-pole switch used to switch the radiator on and off. Please refer to the following wiring diagram:

Switching ON and OFF
Press the key to switch the thermostat on or off
Manual operation and programming
While holding down the key , the icon flashes. Using the keys  you can select between manual operation and programming.
Set-point temperature
When the thermostat is in manual mode, the set-point temperature can be selected using the keys . The icon is shown on the left side of the display.
Key lock
By holding down the keys for 5 seconds, the thermostat can be locked/unlocked. In the advanced programming settings, it is also possible to select between partial or full key lock.
Operating modes
By pressing the key , it is possible to switch between HEATING, COOLING and VENTILATION modes. In the latter, the solenoid valve (if present) remains closed while the fan is switched on.
Fan speed
By pressing the key you can select the fan speed among AUTO, HIGH, MED and LOW. With AUTO, the fan speed is modulated according to the difference between the current temperature and the set-point temperature.
Clock
While holding down the key , the icon flashes. Press again to set hours, minutes and days of the week (1 = Monday, 2 = Tuesday, etc.) using the keys : after 3 seconds the value will be confirmed automatically.

Weekly programming

The thermostat has six heating and cooling periods programmed each day: three Comfort periods (1, 3 and 5, with the required temperature when the room is occupied) and three Economy periods (2, 4 and 6, with the required temperature when the room is unoccupied). You can then select the time and set-point temperature for each of these periods.
To set the weekly programme, press and hold the key , then press four times until the weekday programme settings are displayed. To post the set-point temperature value, use the keys  , then press to confirm and enter the next period setting. Repeat the procedure for each period and press   once more to confirm and exit.

Advanced programming

When the thermostat is off, press and hold the keys + for 5 sec to enter the advanced programming menu. Here you can view or change the values of the current status parameters according to the table below.
