Please carefully read the safety instructions and the user manual before using this product. Use the device only as specified in the user manual. Keep away from children.

The kit includes: digital multimeter, test leads (red and black), user manual, and warranty.

Getting started

  • Unscrew the battery compartment cover screws and remove the cover.
  • Insert 2 AAA batteries according to the correct polarity.
  • Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screws.
  • Press and hold the Power button (11) for 2 seconds to turn the device on or off.

Safety instructions

The multimeter complies with the IEC61010-1, Cat. III 600V safety requirements for Category III measuring equipment when using in circuits up to 600V AC voltage and pollution level 2. To avoid electric shock or personal injury, strictly observe the following safety instructions:

  • Use extreme caution when measuring voltages above 30V AC (RMS), 42V AC (peak), or 60V DC, it is life threatening.
  • To avoid electrocution and device damage, do not measure voltages higher than 600V.
  • Use only properly functioning probes and test leads with intact insulation. Keep your fingers behind the safety guards on the probes.
  • Do not use the device in environments with explosive gases, vapors, or high humidity.
  • Connect the neutral/ground wire first, then the phase wire. Disconnect in reverse order.
  • Disconnect the test leads before opening the battery compartment. Do not use the device with the open battery compartment or when it is disassembled.
  • Do not ground yourself when taking measurements. Avoid contact with possible ground sources.
  • Follow local and national safety regulations. Use personal protective equipment when working with exposed live parts.

Data hold
During a measurement, press the H button (7) to turn on data hold function and display the current reading. The H icon will appear on
the display. Press again to turn the function off and return to measurement display.
Flashlight
Press the Flashlight button (10) to turn the flashlight on/off.
Auto power turn-off
When you press the Power button (11) to power on, the automatic turn-off function is activated by default and the display shows the symbol. After 15 minutes without any key operation, the multimeter will turn off automatically to save battery energy. To cancel the automatic turn-off function, press the FUNC button (5) and the Power button (11) simultaneously. The symbol is not displayed when the automatic turn-off function is cancelled.
Smart (Auto) measurement mode
The multimeter is turned on in Smart (Auto) measurement mode by default. The symbol appears on the display. In this mode, DC voltage, AC voltage, resistance, and continuity can be measured, and the multimeter can automatically identify the measurement signal. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the probes to the measuring points or in parallel to the circuit to be measured. The multimeter will automatically recognize the measured signal. If the resistance is <50Ω, an acoustic signal will be emitted continuously. The measurement results will appear on the VA display (4).

The minimum measured voltage in this mode is about 0.8V.

The minimum measured voltage in this mode is about 0.8V.
Professional (Manual) measurement mode
Press the FUNC button (5) to activate the manual mode. To return to the Smart (Auto) mode, press and hold the FUNC button (5) for 3 seconds.
AC/DC voltage measurement
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the or function. symbol or symbol is displayed accordingly. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the probes to the measuring points. The measurement results will appear on the VA display (4).
Resistance measurement
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the probes to the resistance measuring points of circuit or resistor. The measurement results will appear on the VA display (4).
Continuity test
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test  lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the probes to the circuit or component to be tested. The measurement results (circuit resistance) will appear on the VA display (4).
If the resistance is <50Ω, an acoustic signal will be emitted continuously and the LED indicator (2) will glow.
Frequency measurement
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the Hz function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the probes to the measuring points. The measurement results will appear on the VA display (4).

Capacitance measurement (TC17 only)
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the probes to the capacitance to be measured. The measurement results will appear on the VA display (4).
Diode test (TC17 only)
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (9) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the black test probe to the cathode side and the red test probe to the anode side of the diode to be measured. If the polarity of the test probes is reverse to the diode polarity, the OL (Overload) will appear on the display. This can be used for  distinguishing the anode and cathode side of a diode. The measurement results will appear on the VA display (2). If the polarity of the test  probes matches the diode polarity, the measurement results (voltage drop) will appear on the VA display (4).
Non-contact voltage detection (NCV)
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the NCV function. Slowly bring the NCV sensor (11) close to the point to be detected. When the signal of a weak electromagnetic field is detected, the “– – – L” will appear on the display, the built-in buzzer will produce a slow beep sound, and the LED indicator (2) will glow green. When the signal of a strong electromagnetic field is detected, the “– – – H” will appear on the display, the built-in buzzer will produce a quick beep sound, and the LED indicator (2) will glow red.

When using this function, remove the test leads from the jacks.
Live detection
Press the FUNC button (5) to select the Live function. Plug only the red test lead into the INPUT jack (8). Connect the red test probe to the conductor to be measured. When the signal of a weak electromagnetic field is detected, the “– – – L” will appear on the screen, the built-in buzzer will produce a slow beep sound, and the LED indicator (2) will glow green. When the signal of a strong  electromagnetic field is detected, the “– – – H” will appear on the screen, the built-in buzzer will produce a quick beep sound, and the LED indicator (2) will glow red.
