OLED Screen Care
OLED Display is state of the art technology and combined with our Picture
Quality Engine it has won an outstanding number of awards. To ensure that your
TV always offers the best possible performance, it will sometimes perform a
display clean-up process while in standby.
If you never put your TV in standby, you will regularly be notified by on
screen messages that the display needs to execute this clean-up process.
Please always follow those instructions. Repeatedly postponing this process
may result in image retention, which may void your warranty.
Your TV should be left in standby in order to execute the cleaning process in
the background. We also recommend that you avoid continuously displaying
static images or static parts in moving images (like news ticker bar, soccer
scores, game HUDs…).
TV Display refreshing
To protect the screen, OLED TV need refreshing process over time.
There are 2 types of refreshing process:
· Normal refreshing: This will take place automatically and it takes a few
minutes with TV in standby mode. · Deep refreshing: This will take a few
minutes and need to be triggered by consumer.
To allow OLED TV to perform refreshing properly, please adhere to the
following:
· For normal refreshing process to take place automatically, always use remote
control to switch off TV and keep the TV power plugged. · When normal
refreshing message is shown on TV screen, follow the onscreen recommended
instructions. · For deep refreshing process, it can be activated manually via
Settings > Display and sound > Screen > OLED SCREEN SETTINGS > Clear residual
image. A reminder message can also be shown on TV to request user to perform
deep refreshing, please follow instructions and keep TV power plugged to allow
the whole process complete. It will take a few minutes. The deep refreshing
process shall only be done when residual image is seen on screen even after 8
hours standby. Manually performing Clear residual image too often may reduce
OLED display life time. However, it is important to allow the refresh cycles,
when requested by the TV. · Do not touch or apply pressure on TV screen during
the refreshing process. · Always use remote control to switch off TV and keep
the TV power plugged on when refreshing is triggered.
- Note: In order to enjoy the best picture quality this process is essential. If the unit demonstrably did not have the chance to complete a refreshing process on a regular basis, we cannot accept any returns, repairs, exchanges or warranty claims on behalf of image residual phenomenon within and/or out of the warranty period. This is also the case when the TV is used predominantly for gaming with static content on the screen, the TV is only used for watching news channels (with static news ticker bars) or other similar use cases that implicationwise bear an increased risk for sustaining burn-in effects. This is not in scope of the warranty.
Special Care for OLED TV
Organic LED (OLED) may experience on-screen image retention (due to the characteristics of the material), when an image is continuously displayed for a long period of time or the same image is repeatedly displayed. So it is strongly recommended to follow the instructions to take care of OLED TV:
· Do not display any still image continuously or display the same image for more than 10 minutes. · Recommend to use ECO, HDR Home Cinema or Dolby Vision Dark as picture style in normal home viewing condition. · Recommend to use OLED Contrast setting 50 or below in picture settings when playing Game or watching TV programs with logos or clocks on any parts of the screen. · Switch off On Screen Display (e.g. the home menus) of TV application program when not used. · Switch off On Screen Display from connected external video devices (e.g. DVD player). For details, refer to the instruction manuals for the connected devices. · Avoid displaying video with bright colors (including white), text, clocks or logos on any parts of the screen for a long time. · Use Wide screen or Fill screen as picture format option (see TV picture settings). · Always watch video in full screen instead of a small window on TV screen. (e.g. video in internet browser page) · Do not attach any sticker or label on the OLED panel to reduce the chance of image residual phenomenon. · Organic LED (OLED) displays are extremely sensitive to hostile climate and external factors, like placing these straight under the sunlight and/or ultraviolet illumination as well as improper ambient temperature, resulting in a decrease of luminosity, brightness and lifetime of the OLED displays, pixel reduction and irreparable harm and/or failure of the display. Please note that the warranty does not apply to problems that result, directly or indirectly, from the usage which is not in conformity with these product instructions.
Displaying a still image for a prolonged period of time may cause an image
sticking. This phenomenon is normal character for OLED panel and does not
represent a defect of the TV. Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen
for an extended length of time. Screen saver To reduce the chances of residual
images on the TV screen, the screen saver (moving logo) will be triggered in
such circumstances. – when static setting menu elements are shown on screen
for more than 2 minutes. – when static setting menu elements of Apps are shown
on screen for more than 2 minutes. – when Teletext is being displayed for more
than 2 minutes. The screen saver may not be triggered in such circumstances. –
pausing playback on an external source (e.g. HDMI), as the TV is not
displaying static setting menu elements. Once the screen saver is active, it
can be closed by pressing any remote control button. Other actions like
inserting a USB stick or casting content will execute in the background, but
these activities will not interrupt the screen saver.

· Automatic screen brightness control Gradually reduce the screen brightness
when still image is displayed for a long time. · Screen Saver Display screen
saver when still image is displayed on screen over a longer period of time.

You can use a Single Cable system or Unicable system* to connect the antenna
dish to the TV. A Single Cable system uses one cable to connect the satellite
dish to all satellite tuners in its system. A Single Cable system is typically
used in apartment buildings. If you use a Unicable system, the TV will ask you
to assign a user band number and corresponding frequency during the
installation. You can install up to 4 satellites with Unicable on this TV.
If you notice some missing channels after a Unicable installation, another
installation might have been done at the same moment on the Unicable system.
Do the installation again to install the missing channels.
- Note: supports Unicable 1 (EN50494) and Unicable 2 (EN50607/JESS).
User Band Number
In a Unicable system, each connected satellite tuner must be numbered (e.g. 0, 1, 2 or 3, etc.).
You can find the available user bands and their number on the Unicable switchbox. User band is sometimes shortened as UB. There are Unicable switchboxes that offer 4 or 8 user bands. If you select Unicable in the settings, the TV will ask you to assign the unique user band number for each built-in satellite tuners. A satellite tuner cannot have the same user band number as another satellite tuner in the Unicable system.
Manual Installation
Manual Installation is intended for expert users.
You can use Manual Installation to quickly add new channels from a satellite
transponder. You need to know the frequency and polarisation of the
transponder. The TV will install all channels of that transponder. If the
transponder was installed before, all its channels – the former and the new
ones – are moved to the end of the channel list All. You cannot use Manual
installation if you need to change the number of satellites. If this is
needed, you have to do a complete installation with Install Satellites.
To install a transponder:
1 – Select Settings > Channels and inputs > Channels > Satellite Installation
and press OK. 2 – Select Manual Installation and press (right) to enter the
menu. 3 – If you have more than 1 satellite installed, select LNB for which
you want to add channels. 4 – Set the Polarisation you need. If you set the
Symbol Rate Mode to Manual, you can enter the symbol rate in Symbol Rate
manually. 5 – Press the Arrow / navigation keys to adjust the frequency, and
select Done. 6 – Select Search and press OK. The signal strength is shown on
screen. 7 – If you want to store the channels of a new transponder, select
Store and press OK. 8 – Press (left) repeatedly if necessary, to close the
menu.
User Band Frequency Next to the unique user band number, the built-in
satellite receiver needs the frequency of the selected user band number. These
frequencies are mostly shown next
16
Homing Transponder and LNB
In some countries, you can adjust the expert settings for homing transponder
and each LNB. Only use or change these settings when a normal installation
fails. If you have non-standard satellite equipment, you can use these
settings to overrule the standard settings. Some providers might give you some
transponder or LNB values which you can enter here.
LNB Power
By default, LNB Power is set to Automatic.
22 kHz Tone
By default, the Tone is set to Automatic.
Low LO Frequency / High LO Frequency
The local oscillator frequencies are set to standard values. Adjust the values
only in case of exceptional equipment that needs different values.
Problems
The TV cannot find the satellites I want or the TV installs the same satellite
twice
· Make sure that the correct number of satellites is set in Settings at the
start of the installation. You can set the TV to search for One, Two or 3/4
satellites.
A dual head LNB cannot find a second satellite
· If the TV finds one satellite but cannot find a second one, turn the dish a
few degrees. Align the dish to get the strongest signal on the first
satellite. Check the signal strength indicator of the first satellite on
screen. With the first satellite set at the strongest signal, select Search
again to find the second satellite. · Make sure the settings are set to Two
Satellites.
Changing the installation settings did not solve my problem
· All settings, satellites and channels are only stored at the end of the
installation when you finish.
All satellite channels are gone
· If you use a Unicable system, make sure you assigned two unique user band
numbers for both built-in tuners in the Unicable settings. It might be that
another satellite receiver in your Unicable system is using the same user band
number.
Some satellite channels seem to have disappeared from the channel list
· If some channels seem to be gone or displaced, the broadcaster might have
changed the transponder location of these channels. To restore the channel
positions in the channel list, you can try an update of the
channel package.
I cannot remove a satellite
· Subscription packages do not allow removing a satellite. To remove the
satellite, you have to do a complete installation again and select another
package.
Sometimes the reception is poor
· Check if the satellite dish is solidly mounted. Strong winds can move the
dish. · Snow and rain can degrade the reception.
