The hands-free car kit is a communication electronics device. With the hands- free car kit, you can make phone calls while driving without touching your phone.
The device is only intended for private use, not for commercial use. Please note that we shall not be liable in cases of improper use:

  • Do not convert or modify the device without our express agreement and use only replacement parts or accessories that we have supplied or approved.
  • Comply with all the information in this user manual, especially the safety instructions. Any other use is considered improper and can cause personal injury or property damage.

  • Road safety always comes first! The current traffic situation always takes priority over the operation of the hands-free car kit.
  • When placing the hands-free car kit in your vehicle, always posi-tion it so that it or the charging cable does not hinder the opera-tion of your vehicle. The ideal position for the hands-free car kit is on the sun visor. The hands-free car kit must never be mounted or placed in the deployment area of an airbag.

Charging the device
Charge the battery of the hands-free car kit fully before using it for the first time.

  • Connect the USB-C plug of the supplied USB charging cable to the port on the device (see Fig. E).SILVERCREST-SBTF-10-G1-Kit-Mains-Libres-Voiture- \(4\)
  • Insert the USB-A plug into a suitable USB port.
  • Use the supplied USB charging cable with car USB charging adapter when charging via an on-board power socket (in th. C)nav replace or tab

When power is supplied via an onboard power socket: do not charge for long periods when the vehicle engine is switched off to prevent the vehicle bat- tery from becoming fully discharged.

Attaching the fastening clip

The fastening clip (5) can be attached in two directions.

  • Insert the fastening clip (5) into the device as shown in Fig. F.

The fastening clip (5) must click audibly into place.

Mounting the hands-free car kit

  • Hook the fastening clip (5) onto your vehicle’s sun visor as shown in Fig. G.

Status operating light

The status operating light on the telephone button (2) shows you the following operating states:

Each operation is also accompanied by an acoustic signal.

Operating the hands-free car kit

  • Slide the ON/OFF switch (6) to the ON position to switch on the device (see Fig. H).

The device switches to pairing mode and is ready to connect to an external device via Blue-tooth®. The telephone button ( notes blue quickly.

Pairing via Bluetooth

Enable the Bluetooth® function on your external device and pair the devices. Refer to the user manual for your audio playback device for more information. The name of the hands-frees(  FTBS“ si tik see Fig. I).

  • Pairing is complete once an acoustic signal sounds and the telephone button (2) flashes blue.
  • If you want to stop data transfer via Bluetooth®, switch off the Bluetooth® function on the external device.
  • The hands-free car kit can be actively connected to two mobile phones at a time. When an incoming call is received, the ring tone of the respective mobile phone is used. When a call is in progress, the call on the second mobile phone is indicated by an acoustic signal.
  • Switch off the device by sliding the ON/OFF switch (6) to the OFF position. The next time the device is switched on, the hands-free car kit will automatically connect to the last paired device(s).

Intelligent standby mode
If the device is not switched off manually, it will automatically switch to energy-saving mode after a few minutes when not in use. If the device in the car detects a vibration, such as the opening/closing of the car door, the device switches to standby mode to automatically establish the connection to the paired devices.

Making calls

  • Dial the phone number on your mobile phone. The operating light on the telephone button (2) flashes blue while the telephone connection is being made and the telephone connection is established
  • To redial the last telephone number, press the telephone button (2) twice quickly.

Voice control

  • You can activate the voice assistance function of your mobile phone (if available and set up) using the hands-free car kit by pressing and holding the telephone button (2) for two seconds in standby mode. You can use your mobile phone’s voice assistant to make calls or access audio data, for example
    When initiating a call, speak the name of the caller clearly and loudly enough.

  • For more information on the voice assistance function of your mobile phone, refer to the respective manufacturers’ instructions.

Controlling the volume

Press the button to increase the call volume.
Press the button to reduce the call volume.

Mute

  • Press the button to mute the microphone so that the person you are talking to cannot hear you.
  • Press the button again to cancel the mute setting.

Ending a call

  • Press the telephone button 2  briefly to end the call.

Playing back music

You can playback and control music from your mobile phone via the hands-free car kit.

  • Press the button to increase the call volume.
  • Press the button to reduce the call volume.
  • Press the telephone button (2) to pause music playback.
  • Press the telephone button (2) again to resume music playback.

If a mobile phone is also paired with your car radio via Bluetooth®, you can play audio data from the mobile phone via the car radio and control it using the hands-free car kit.
If a call is received during music playback, the music will be paused until the call is ended.

Storage

  • When you are not using the device, disconnect the USB charging cable with car USB charging adapter from the power supply and store the device in a dry, dust-free, and frost-free place, away from direct sunlight.
  • If you do not intend to use the device for a prolonged period, charge the device before and regularly during storage (approx. every ot ) to prevent the battery from becoming fully discharged.
  • Observe the environmental conditions for storage specified in the technical specifications.

Cleaning the device

  • Do not use any solvents or caustic/gaseous cleaning agents to clean the device’s surfaces and accessories. Wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth.
  • Make sure that no liquids penetrate the device.

Troubleshooting

If the device stops working properly, please refer to the troubleshooting table shown below to see if you can resolve the problem yourself.
Never attempt to repair the device yourself. If a repair is necessary, please contact our Service Centre or a suitable authorised repair workshop.

  • Battery is not sufficiently charged.
  • Switch on the device. Connect it to the external device.

The battery is not charging.|

  • Check the connection of the USB charging cable with the car USB charging adapter in the on-board socket / on the USB port.

  • Switch on the ignition when charging via an on-board socket.

  • Is the operating light red or purple? Contact the Service Department if this is not the case.

Audio playback on the paired car radio is not working after a call has ended.| } Switch the car radio off and on again.
