About our products

On delivery

Check the following before using your new product:

  1. Check that no damage has occurred during transport (if this is the case, please immediately inform the delivery agent).
  2. Check that the number and type (s) of products detailed on the delivery certificate agree with the goods delivered.
  3. Check that the delivery is of the desired model and type of product.

Please contact us immediately in case of any delivery problem.

Return or refund

If any product has to be returned for any reason, please contact us to obtain a claim number  and advice on how to proceed.

The goods should be returned in complete and undamaged condition in their original packaging.

The following information should accompany any product on its return. The product’s identification number, delivery date, the date the user took possession of the aid, the date of the product’s last service, the person whom we should contact about the fault, whether it be the user or another, and the nature of the fault.
Human Care HC AB reserves the right to inspect the returned product. If no fault can be found, the item will be returned to the user. Transport costs may then be chargeable.

Product lifetime

The product´s expected lifetime is seven (7) years, if the product is used as intended and maintained according to the manufacturer´s instructions, depending on the intensity of use and maximum load applied during use. If the product label is no longer legible, the product should be discarded.

Additional Warnings

Ensure that all bolts are securely fastened before using the rollator!

**** Brakes must be in the parked/locked position before sitting on the rollator!

DO NOT adjust brake tension until wheels lose molding sheen!

DO NOT hang anything on backstrap or it may break!

Warnings

  • DO NOT leave your rollator unattended. Anytime the rollator has been out of view (eg. placed in vehicle, etc.) inspect  the rollator completely for any signs of damage before use.

  • DO NOT use as a wheelchair/ transport chair. The rollator has not been designed for this purpose.

  • Be sure the brakes are locked before sitting on seat. Caution! Pinch point: **Do not put fingers between brake and push handle!

  • DO NOT use on stairs or escalators. Only use this product on even surfaces clear of obstructions.

  • DO NOT squeeze brake continuously while walking as this will cause premature wear to the brake pad and tire.

  • Touch the back of your legs to seat before sitting.

  • DO NOT put anything on your folded rollator as this will cause damage to the frame, plastic parts, etc.

  • If the rollator has been stored in any type of transportation, such as a plane, train, boat, bus, car, etc. you risk damage to the rollator. Please inspect very carefully before usage.

  • DO NOT lean on one side of  the rollator when sitting down. Distribute weight evenly to prevent the rollator from tipping over.

  • DO NOT use brake handles when sitting and standing. Use upper handgrip only to stabilize your body

  • DO NOT rest anything on backstrap as damage may occur.

  • DO NOT exceed weight capacity!

Care and Use

  • DO NOT use chlorine bleach or abrasive cleansers. To clean, wipe down with a damp cloth using a mild detergent only.

  • CHECK periodically to ensure that the black height adjustment knobs are tightened securely.

  • CHECK your rollator to ensure the front forks and all wheels swivel easily and are clear of any dirt or obstructions.

  • DO NOT leave your rollator  exposed to the elements (weather).

  • This is a walking aid only designed to assist you with mobility. Only use the seat for rest periods.

  • INSPECT your rollator every year by an authorized dealer/ service agent. Only let authorized personnel adjust your rollator.

  • CHECK your rollator frequently for any loose, cracked or corroded plastic or metal components.

  • DO NOT store the rollator near a heat source.

  • Use only authorized parts/ accessories with your walking aid.

  • NEVER use the rollator for any other reason other than for its intended purpose.

Cleaning and service

When cleaning, water and mild detergent are recommended.
When washing the rollator, remove the two soft seat cushions by loosening the red Nexus handle and unbuttoning the cushions from the seat.

After washing, the cushions are mounted on the seat again.

Machine wash 60 ° C for 7-8 minutes can be used, observe the finishing requirements. Avoid flushing with bearings (wheels, forks).

NOTE!
Do not use naphtha, gasoline or other solvents.

Intended Use

Nexus 3 is a stable walking aid, suitable for use both in- and outdoors. It has a cable free brake system, which makes it easy to perform maintenance on. The brake system decreases the risk of jamming brake wires. The Nexus 3 has a unique way of folding which allows it to be stored upright whilst folded and it can be folded and unfolded by simply useing the handle. Nexus 3 has a wide and soft seat that makes it comfortable to sit on.

TO SIT, touch the back of your legs to the edge of the seat to ensure position of rollator before sitting down.

IMPORTANT! Test to be sure rollator will not roll before attempting to sit. Brakes must be in parked/locked position.


This rollator is designed for use as a walking aid and should never be used for any other purpose.

DO NOT support your weight on the handles when attempting to sit. Use the handles to stabilize your body as you carefully turn around. Keep your hands on the rubber handles and slowly lower your weight onto the seat.

Assembly

  • Ensure handle is in neutral position.

  • Set handle to desired height.
    Important: Brake handle must be in neutral position!

  • Using the pointed end of the bolt, place it in the hole in the push handle. At the same time, tap the brake pad and slowly push through the bolt.

Installing the soft zippered bag
  • Slide the metal frame into the slots on each side of the soft bag. Each frame side will only fit on the appropriate soft bag slot. The clamp should be visible in the soft bag cut out.

  • Note: To simplify the assembly of the soft bag, start by slightly folding the rollator by pulling up on the seat handle.

Take care not to strip the clamp screws when tightening!

  • Slide upper tube into lower tube. Important: Upper internal tube colour must match colour of lower tube in frame!

  • Align hexagon shape of bolt in hexagon shape in plastic cap. Important: The holes in the upper and lower internal tubes will not line up perfectly!

  • To install backstrap, ensure key shape faces up. Place into clamp located at end of handle. Tighten into place with screw and nut.

  • Attach each clamp to the front rollator frame as shown. Make sure that each side of the bag is level and that the clamp is on the side above the fork cap.

  • Unfold the rollator once clamps are secured.

Maximum bag capacity: 11lb/5kg

  • Add the basket to the crossbar supporting the seat using the hooks.

  • Attach the bracket of the tray over the back edge of the seat. Secure in place by firmly pressing it over the front edge of the seat. Remove by lifting.

  • Open the clamp enough so that it may be secured around the frame tubing. As you open you will see the clamp locks go towards each other.

  • Before closing the clamp, take the attachment/ cup and place into the clamp locks. Once the clamp is secured, these locks will hold the attachment/cup securely in position.

Optional Accessories

Cup Holder – Model #90394
  • Gently unscrew the rotating knob clockwise to loosen. Note: Maximum 45mm

  • Place the clip on the rollator frame under the star handle with the cup facing towards the user.

  • Tighten the rotating knob counter-clockwise.

  • Test to ensure stability before use

Identification Tag – Model #90392/90393
  • Wrap the identification tag around the area to which you will affix the tag. Bend the tag slightly and insert the wide edge of the identification tag through the keyhole opening.

  • Enter information on card provided with tag and insert into sleeve.

Slow Down Brake – Model 4950
  • Caution: Only an authorized service agent should install a slow-down brake.

  • Using a 5mm Allen Key, remove the axle bolt and then slide out the wheel.
    Optional Accessories

  • Position the slow-down brake so that the mounting holes line up with the top hole of the rear plastic fork. Install with screws provided, taking care not to strip the screws.

  • Ensure that the bracket faces up as shown when positioning the wheel.

  • Slide the wheel into the plastic fork. Hold in position by reinserting the axle bolt through the bottom holes of the plastic fork and the hole in the wheel.

  • Tighten the bolt with the nut. The bolt should be completely through the nut (must be tight). Caution: Do not use if bolt is not secure or wheel wobbles!

Brake and Usage/Adjustment

ADJUST THE BRAKE by turning the screw on the brake pad using an Allen Key.

CLOCKWISE to tighten brake.
COUNTER CLOCKWISE to loosen the brake.

NOTE: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!

IMPORTANT ADJUSTMENT WARNINGS

Damage may occur if

  • Handle not in neutral position during adjustment!
  • Hexagon shape in bolt does not line up with hexagon shape in plastic cap!
  • Handle is twisted back and forth when inserting bolt!

Opening/Folding


Loosen the larger plastic part on the lock snap and slide the rollator’s handle outwards.

CAUTION!
**** Never sit on the seat unless it is locked into place and the brakes are in the parked/locked position.

Always use the seat center handle to fold the rollator. Folding the rollator in any other manner may cause injury

IMPORTANT!
The nexus can be partly folded for passing the rollator through narrow doorways

**** If storing rollator for extended periods of time in folded position, raise handles to avoid indentation on seat.
