SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING: Please follow all of these instructions to ensure the safety of your child. Keep these instructions for future reference.
WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious
injury or death. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out, always use
the safety harness and insure that the children are properly positioned
according to these instructions.
WARNING: Never leave children unattended.
Stroller accommodates 2 children max. Do not exceed
- The maximum weight for the front seat is 40 lb (18.1 kg). The maximum weight for the platform and jump/rear seat is 50 lb (22.68 kg).
- The Front Seat is designed for a child who is at least 6 months and is not over 40 inches (102 cm) tall. The rear stand on platform and jump/rear seat are designed for a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old and is not over 40 inches (102 cm) tall. Children totaling more than 90 pounds (40.82 kg), will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may cause a hazardous unstable condition to exist.
- Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags or accessory items may change the balance of the stroller and cause a hazardous, unstable condition. Adding an extra parcel bag or parcel rack will render the stroller unstable
- The maximum weight that can be carried in the storage basket is 5 lbs (2.26 kg), parent tray and child tray is 3 lbs (1.36 kg). Seat Belt storage pocket: To store seat belt only, maximum weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg). Excessive weight may cause a hazardous unstable condition.
- Be certain the stroller is completely opened and locked in place before allowing a child near the stroller.
- NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.
- NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.
- To clean use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
- Check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material or stitching on a regular basis. Replace or repair parts as needed.
- Discontinue use of stroller should it malfunction or become damaged. Please contact our customer service department to arrange for repair or obtain replacement parts.
IMPORTANT
- To ensure safe operation of your stroller, please follow these instructions carefully. Please keep these instructions for future reference.
- Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.
- Adult assembly is required. Keep child away during unpacking and assembly.
WHAT IN THE BOX
Check that you have all the parts for this model before assembling the stroller.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Frame Set Up
- Pull out and rotate the latch away from the stroller peg (Fig. 1a). (1) Use one hand to hold the handle and tilt stroller forward. (2) Push the stroller open firmly with the other hand (Fig. 1b). (3) Firmly pull upward on the stroller handle to completely open the frame (Fig. 1b).
- NOTE: The frame must fully click into position.
Front Wheels
- Insert each front wheel into the housing on both sides of stroller frame. Line up the peg with the housing and firmly push into place (Fig. 2).
Rear Axle
- Remove the pin and 1 washer from both ends of the rear axle (Fig. 3a).
- Install the rear wheel with the auxiliary teeth inserting first (Fig. 3b).
- Get the cross bar through the rear wheel and insert the second washer (Fig. 3c).
- Place the pin horizontally into the hole of the axle bar and then rotate into a vertical position (Fig. 3d).
- (1) Align the tabs on the cap with the holes on the wheels. (2) Push the cap into the wheel to close the axle assembly.
- NOTE: Press firmly with your palm to press the cap in completely (Fig. 3e).
- Repeat for the other side.
- Place the rear legs over the axle with wheels and apply pressure on both sides. Ensure both sides lock into place (Fig. 3f).
NOTE: Pull on the front and rear wheels to ensure all are securely attached to the stroller. NEVER use stroller if wheels do not lock into place. Child Tray
WARNING: The child’s tray is not a restraint device: always secure your child with the seat belt. DO NOT lift the stroller by the child’s tray. Use care when child is in the stroller and securing the front tray. Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 lbs (1.36 kg) in the child tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.
- To attach child tray:
- Push tray downward and onto each side of the front armrests until both sides snap into place (Fig. 4a).
- Check that the tray is secured by slightly pulling it upwards.
- To access child seat:
- Pull one release lever (Fig. 4b) on the underside of the child tray and lift upward. Either side can rotate up to access the seat (Fig. 4c).
- To remove the child tray:
- Pull both release levers located on the underside of each side of the tray and lift upward (Fig. 4d).
- NOTE: Repeat the above steps for the rear child tray.
Moblie Phone Positioning Parent Tray
WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 lbs (1.36 kg) in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions can result.
WARNING: Care must be taken when folding stroller to prevent damage. Make sure all accessories, mobile phones, diaper bags or purses are removed before folding. Failure to remove items in, or on the stroller may result in damage to the stroller or the item (s) if not removed. Baby Trend® will not be liable or warrant any damage.
To Insert The Parent Tray:
To attach the parent tray insert the hole on the parent tray into the pin on the handle. Align the opposite side of the tray and press down until you hear a “click”. Pull up on the tray to verify proper installation. Please be careful not to pinch your fingers when installing the parent tray (Fig. 5a).
Mobile phone positioner:
- Align mobile phone to the clip and insert it through the grips. Make sure to push the phone all the way down into the positioner (Fig. 5b).
NOTE: The positioner may not accommodate all mobile phones or other devices. Do not use positioner as a secure holder when stroller is not in use or if your phone is loose or is too large.
To remove the parent tray:
- Pull outward on one end of the tray while lifting upward (Fig. 5c).
Front Canopy
- To attach the canopy:
- Align both sides of the canopy clips onto the plastic tabs. Slide clips forward to lock into place (Fig. 6a).
- NOTE: Ensure the canopy is completely snapped into position.
- To open the canopy:
- Push front bar forward while holding back of canopy. Canopy reaches forward or backward (Fig. 6b).
- To close the canopy:
- Pull front of canopy back towards stroller handle (Fig. 6c).
- To remove the canopy:
- Slide both canopy clips backward to remove (Fig. 6d).
Rear Canopy
- If received unattached, line up the male fittings of the lower connection with the female fittings on the handle frame and push inward (Fig. 7a).
Check all attachments
If received unattached, follow below instructions to attach:
- Pinch the straps and insert into the tray slots (Fig. 7b).
- Hook all three canopy straps to the pertaining tray tab (Fig. 7c).
- Ensure all fabric panels are attached to their corresponding tab as illustrated (Fig. 7d).
- Secure the canopy sides with the bands (Fig. 7e). Fasten each hook and strap onto the stroller frame (Fig. 7f).
- Repeat for the other side.
To remove the rear canopy:
- Repeat the steps above to undo the canopy. Then press both snap buttons of the rear canopy to remove (Fig. 7g).
Basket Access
Securing the Basket Straps
If the straps are not assembled, locate the (4) types of straps as shown (Fig. 8a).
- Locate the cording on the front edge of the basket and ensure to loop it over and hook it onto the tab under the frame.
- Loop the two basket straps together over the stroller frame.
- Ensure the strap is inserted through the rear footrest.
- On the rear basket, ensure the strap is inserted through the slot.
NOTE: Repeat for the other side.
Check Straps:
- Ensure that all straps with snap closures are attached correctly (Fig. 8b).
Basket Access / Flip-Up Leg Rest:
- Lift the leg rest to access the storage basket from the front side (Fig. 8c).
NOTE
- Lift leg rest from the edge, and always close the storage basket front access when not in use.
Rear Brakes
WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. NEVER leave stroller unattended on a hill or incline as the stroller may slide down the hill.
- To engage rear brakes, apply downward pressure to the brake levers located on the rear axle (Fig. 9a).
- The stroller may require forward or rearward movement in order to engage the brake. Check that the stroller will not move once the brakes are properly applied. To release, gently lift up on the brake levers (Fig. 9b).
Secure the Child
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the
safety harness.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose safety harness. Never
leave child in seat when safety harness is loose or undone.
- The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness have multiple positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child’s shoulder (Fig. 10a).
- To secure the child, place the safety harness around the child’s waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child’s legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the crotch buckle. Tighten all buckles to the proper fit for the child (Fig. 10b).
To make adjustments on the front seat:
- Push the button on the center clasp and all the harness straps will release.
- To re-thread: Unhook the shoulder straps. Use the slit in the back of the front seat. Locate the shoulder straps to re-thread accordingly. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child’s shoulder.
To make adjustments on the rear seat with seat pad:
To re-thread: Unhook the shoulder straps. Use the hook and loop in the back of the rear seat. Locate the shoulder straps to re-thread accordingly. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child’s shoulder (Fig. 10d).
- If needed: Adjust the crotch buckle to face the front of the stroller when using the rear seat.
- Use the strap and anchor under seat to RESET the crotch buckle accordingly.
To Recline Seats
WARNING: The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old.
- To recline the seat press the clip ends together to release and pull down (Fig. 11a).
- To place seat into an upright position, press the clip ends together while holding the end of strap. Push clip upwards to secure into desired position (Fig. 11b).
NOTE
- Repeat the step above to recline the rear seat. Adjust the safety strap as needed.
Infant Car Seat
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out, always use the Infant Car Seat harness.
Infant car seat(s) sold separately (visit babytrend.com for compatibilty chart)
ATTENTION: CS01 EZ-Lift, CS02 EZ-Lift PLUS and CS03 EZ-Lift PRO Dual Infant Car Seats must each attach into the connectors of the strollers front and rear seats. IMPORTANT: For use of two car seats or any dual seating combination, both seats must have weight in them.
- Always sit the 2 children at the same time.
- Single Infant Car Seat must attach to the front seat connectors only.
- This feature requires child tray and seat back adjustment to the most reclined position. Canopy adjustments must be done accordingly.
NOTE: To make seat position adjustments refer to step 11.
- DO NOT use a single car seat in the rear seat position. DO NOT use the rear seat without fabric installation.
Car Seat Connections:
- Recline both seats as shown on step 11. Align the car seat connection to the stroller connectors. Both car seats must be rear facing.
- Carefully rest the car seats lower rear against the angle point of the tray. Latch the connection into the stroller frame. Press down firmly for the click.
- ALWAYS ensure that the car seat is properly connected and locked onto the stroller before each use by lifting up on the car seat handle (Fig. 12a).
IMPORTANT:
- REAR SEAT: Always use short clips to secure the infant car seat to the stroller. (Fig. 12b). NOTE: Thread between canopy and stroller frame to attach. Reverse to remove and store in the side pocket.
Removing the car seat:
NOTE: Set handle to the carry position (Fig. 12c). Squeeze the release handle located at the Top-rear of the car seat and lift away from the stroller (Fig. 12d). Applies to both front and rear.
Jump Seat
WARNING: The rear platform and jump seat are designed to accommodate a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old, has good balance and coordination, and is not over 40 inches tall.
- Rear Seat/Jump Seat: To use jump seat, please remove the rear child tray, rear canopy and rear seat.
- To remove the rear child tray: See (Fig. 4d) for details.
- To remove the rear canopy: Reverse step 6.
- To remove the rear seat: Detach the recline strap from the frame by folding and sliding the strap through the “D-ring” located on the end of the strap (Fig. 13a).
- And remove any remaining straps that are attached to the stroller frame.
- Place stroller on its side. Remove the attachments underneath the rear seat as shown (Fig. 13b).
To reattach the rear seat:
- Reverse the steps above.
WARNING
- Do not use jump seat at this point. The harness strap must be adjusted.
Using the Rear Jump Seat
WARNING: The rear platform and jump seat are designed to accommodate a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old, has good balance and coordination, and is not over 40 inches tall.
- NOTE: Rear seat should be removed. (1) Crotch buckle must face stroller rear during use of the jump seat .
- (2) Use the strap and anchor under seat to RESET the crotch buckle accordingly.
- Have the child sit on the jump seat facing backwards. Secure the child with the jump seat 3-point harness. View of harness storage pocket location (Fig. 14a).
- Put the seat belt around the child’s waist, and buckle to the crotch strap (Fig. 14b). Adjust the seat belt to be snug around the child’s waist.
- TO RELEASE: Push the button on the center clasp and all the harness straps will release (Fig. 14c).
Using the Platform
WARNING: The rear platform and jump seat are designed to accommodate a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old, has good balance and coordination, and is not over 40 inches tall.
- First engage the rear brakes (Fig. 15a). Place child in rearfacing standing position.
- NOTE: Ensure the child holds the frame with both hands at all times.
- Position the child on the platform on the back of the stroller. Be sure child is standing facing forward and hands are holding frame.
- Secure the stand feature safety belt behind child and engage buckle (Fig. 15b). Be sure that the child’s feet are fully on the platform at all times.
- NOTE: Ensure the child holds the frame with both hands at all times.
To Fold Stroller
WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.
CAUTION: Do not allow children near stroller while folding and unfolding.
WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent damage. Make sure all accessories, mobile phones, diaper bags or purses are removed before folding. Failure to remove items in, or on the stroller so may result in damage to the stroller or the item(s) if not removed. Baby Trend® will not be liable or warrant any damage.
- Always push canopy forward away from handle before folding the stroller (Fig. 16a).
- To fold the stroller, pull the stroller back to position the front wheel as seen below and engage the brakes.
- (1) Slide the thumb latch to the left.
- (2) Squeeze the pull trigger while pushing forward on the handle (Fig. 16b).
- Once the stroller begins to fold, push upward on the handle (Fig. 16c). Continue pushing handle upward and use the fold assist strap to close the stroller.
- Rotate the latch to lock the stroller.
- NOTE: Ensure the stroller peg engages with the latch (Fig. 16d).
- Refer to Step 1 for unfolding sequence.
- All wheels can remain assembled during folding and unfolding.
Maintenance
Front Wheel – Maintenance
- If replacing the front wheel, press the pin located behind the wheel hub. Pull the wheel out from the hub (Fig. 17).
Rear Wheel – Maintenance
- If replacing the rear wheel:
- Press the release pin and pull the wheel out (Fig. 18).
SEAT PAD
- To clean the seat pad, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
OTHER
Check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material or stitching on a regular basis. Replace or repair parts as needed. The Customer Service Department can be contacted at 1 800-328-7363 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (PST).
