Product Usage Instructions

Manual Internet Connection Setup

Connect via LAN-cable to the DWR-978. The Ethernet connection obtains an IP address automatically.
Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.
If the device is not configured, leave the Password field empty and click on Login.
Enter an Admin Password containing letters and numbers, then click on Change Password.
Click on Login.
For 4G/5G connection, leave Dual WAN settings at default or make necessary changes and click Submit.
Select mobile provider, set Dial-Up Profile to Manual, choose Country & Telecom, and enter PIN if required.
If ISP is not selectable, configure manually by setting Dial-Up Profile to Manual, entering Username, Password, APN, and PIN if needed.
Click Submit to save settings.
Wait for a few minutes and check Network Status for Connected status.

FAQ

Q: What if my mobile ISP is not listed in the example list?
A: You can configure the internet connection manually by following the steps provided in the manual setup section.
Q: Can I change the Admin Password after initial setup?
A: Yes, you can change the Admin Password by logging in and following the steps to update the password.
Q: How do I know if the internet connection is established successfully?
A: Check the Network Status in the menu for a Connected status indication.

For the manual internet connection setup please follow the described steps.

Connect via LAN-cable to the DWR-978. The Ethernet connection obtains an IP-address automatically.
Open a web browser and open the address http:192.168.0.1
- If you already have configured your DWR-978, then go to point 5 on the next page as next.
- If the DWR-978 is not configured before, then it has no Password.
  Let the Password-field empty and click on Login.
Enter an Admin-Password.
This must contains letters and numbers. Then click on Change Password.
Then click on Login.
Log-in with your Admin-Password.
For the 4G/5G internet connection you can let the Dual WAN Settings at default settings.
- You can disable the Dual WAN and the Fail Over.
- It is important that Primary WAN is set to Mobile.

Many mobile provider are selectable.
- Set the Dial-Up Profile to Manual.
- At Country choose the country from where the SIM card is from.
- At Telecom pick the mobile ISP from this your SIM card is.
- If the SIM-card is secured with a PIN, please enter this at Pin Code.
- At next at Point 9 or see Point 8 on the next page.
If the mobile ISP isn’t selectable or you want to configure the internet connection manually:
- Set the Dial-Up Profile to Manual.
- At Username and at Password enter the access data if necessary.
- At Authentication select Auto.
- At APN enter the APN of your mobile ISP.
- If the SIM-card is secured with a PIN, please enter this at Pin Code.

Beneath click on Submit to take over the settings.
Wait some minutes.
Enter the menu upper-left Network Status.

The internet connection will be displayed Connected.
