ECTIVE MSP 80 Sunwallet Foldable Solar Panel
Product Information
The ECTIVE SUNWALLET MSP is a monocrystalline solar module used for charging or providing power to batteries and devices. It comes in three variants: MSP 80, MSP 135, and MSP 180 with rated power (Wp) of 1.6, 7.5, and 10.8 respectively. The module has a performance tolerance, open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, and fuse (A) as per the variant. It weighs around 1-2 kg depending on the variant and has dimensions (mm) when folded. The product also includes a solar charge controller, fuse, and battery.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before installing or using the ECTIVE SUNWALLET MSP solar module, carefully read the user manual and follow the instructions for any charge controller you connect to the solar module.
- Ensure that the solar module does not come in contact with water or moisture.
- To clean the surface of the solar module, remove any dust and dirt using a soft brush and then wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Any guano should be removed as soon as possible to prevent a negative impact on the solar module’s performance.
- If the battery is not being charged, even though the module is directly facing the sun, there may be an issue with the connections. Make sure the solar panel is correctly connected and no connections are reversed. Also, the solar charge controller may be damaged and may need to be replaced.
- The ECTIVE SUNWALLET MSP can be used to charge or provide power to compatible batteries and devices using an appropriate charge controller.
- When decommissioning the device, please contact the nearest recycling center or point of sale to get information about the disposal regulations.

Operating Instructions
Setup and operation
Find a clear, sunlit area without hanging branches or other obstacles.
Unfold the module and make sure the solar panel faces in the direction of the
sun. Adjusting the orientation of the solar module to face the sun maximizes
the power output of the panel. Connect the module to the appropriate inputs of
a compatible solar charge controller. Connect the battery you want to charge,
or any devices you want power, to the correct outputs of the charge
controller. Make sure all connections are secure and avoid any short circuits.
Compatible batteries and devices
Using an appropriate char controller, this solar module can be used to charge
or provide power to the following batteries and devices:
- sealed lead-acid batteries
- colloidal lead-acid batteries
- flooded lead-acid batteries
- lithium batteries
Cleaning the surface of the solar module
Remove any dust and dirt from the solar module’s surface using a soft brush
and then wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth. Any guano should be removed
as soon as possible to prevent a negative impact on the solar module’s
performance.
Troubleshooting
If the battery is not being charged, even though the module is directly facing the sun, there may be an issue with the connections. Make sure the solar panel is correctly connected and no connections are reversed. Also, the solar charge controller may be damaged and may need to be replaced. Always read and follow the instructions for any solar charge controller you connect to the solar module.
Recommended Solar Charge Controller
A solar charge controller is required in order to use this solar module to charge batteries or power devices. For use with ECTIVE MSP solar modules, we recommend our ECTIVE MPPT SC 20 Silent solar charge controller. This high quality, fully automatic device uses MPPT technology to maximize charging efficieny: charging times and energy loss due to inefficiencies are reduced. In addition to offering these advantages over traditional controllers, the ECTIVE MPPT SC 20 Silent is is exceptionally user-friendly. It requires no maintenance and offers various protective features to protect your batteries and equiment from damage. Learn more about our solar charge controllers on our website: ective.de
