Always use the product with the supplied equipment. Operation of the product
with non-provided equipment may cause malfunctions or even serious injury or
death. The manfacturer and the importer shal not be izble for injuries and
damages resuiting from the use of nor-conforming equipment.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Overloading is strictly prohibited.
- The use of any type of force for powering other than manual operation is not permitted.
- Ensure that the moving parts are in good condition and that they are adequately lubricated.
- Ensure that all safety components as well as load attachment devices are properly installed and secured before starting work. It is not permitted to attach a load to any point other than the hook. The chain should be kept vertical and straight with no torsional stress to ensure safe operation.
- During operation, the operator should be level with the pulley. To lift the load: pull the chain to rotate the pulley clockwise. By performing the opposite procedure the load will descend smoothly.
- For safety reasons, you should remove any bystanders from the area under the lifted load.
- When using the pallet truck you sheuld pull or release the ehain at a steady rate so as to avoid any oscillations and vibrations.
- Stop work if you realise that excessive force is required eampared to normal operation. In this case check:
i) lf an obstacle is involved with the load.
ii) If there is a problem with any of the components
iii) If the load is heavier than the indicated maximum lifting lead ef the
pallet.
APPLICATION
The chain block is a portable lifting device easily operated by hand chain. It
le suitable for use in fastories, mines, farms, construction sites, wharves,
docks and arehouses for installation of equipment, as well as for loading and
unleading geeds. It is specially advantageous for lifting work in open air
grounds and places where no electric power supply is available.
The chain block can be attached to a trolley of any type as a traveling chain
block. tt is suitable to menorail overhead conveying system, hand traveling
crane and jib crane.
Main features:
- Safe operation during use.
- High precision combined with great assistance.
- Light weight and ease of use.
- Attractive design combined with its small size.
- High durability.
OPERATION
The chain block has a transmission mechanism which is equipped with two
symmetrically mounted double-stop gears. The basic operating principle is as
follows:
By pulling the chain the pulley rotates clockwise and pushes the plates which,
in combination with the ratchet disc, push the brake system causing these
components to rotate as a whole. The main drive shaft rotates the drive
sprocket, the sub-shaft with the sprocket and the chain sprocket which moves
the chain steadily and smoothly.
The type of brake used consists of ratchet disc system and a pair of single-
acting adhesion surfaces. It automatically retains the lifted load. The tab
engages with the ratchet disc by means of a spring, ensuring good and safe
operation.
MAINTENANCE
- Clean all debris from the parts of the chain block, lubricate the moving parts with grease after use and store it in a place with low humidity.
- Inspection and maintenance should be carried out by an experienced operator. Do not allow anyone who does not have the appropriate experience to disassemble or assemble the chain block.
- When assembling, align the “0” notations of the gears.
- When assembling, the brake mechanism and its components should be correctly positioned and fit together correctly. Rotate the brake mounting surfaces counterclockwise to ensure that clearances are created between the disc and the mounting surfaces.
- At the end of maintenance and cleaning, perform an unloaded test and then a loaded test. Use the clamp only and only after you are satisfied that it is functioning correctly and is in good condition.
Do not use two or more hoists to lift one weight. No overloading. No
hook tip loading. No direct binding of a load with a load chain. No
overliftting. No overlowering.
No side pulling.
Do not operate with kinked or twisted chain.
Keep everybody away from the area under the loading.
In case the hand chain pull force exceeds the normal, don’t pull by increasing
force. Stop operation immediately and inspect the hoist.
