SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
- To reduce the risk of serious injury, read the following Safety Instructions before using the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT.
- Save these instructions and ensure that other exercisers read this manual before using the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT for the first time.
- Read all warnings and cautions posted on the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT.
- The STAIR CLIMBER SPORT should only be used after a thorough review of the Owner’s Manual. Make sure that it is properly assembled and tightened before use.
- We recommend that two people be available for assembly of this product.
- Keep children away from the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT. Do not allow children to use or play on the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT. Keep children and pets away from the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT when it is in use.
- It is recommended that you place this exercise equipment on an equipment mat.
- Set up and operate the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT on a solid-level surface. Do not position the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT on loose rugs or uneven surfaces.
- Make sure that adequate space is available for access to and around the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT.
- Before using, inspect the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT for worn or loose components, and securely tighten or replace any worn or loose components before use.
- Consult a physician before commencing an exercise program and follow his/her recommendations in developing your fitness program. If at any time during exercise you feel faint, dizzy, or experience pain, stop and consult your physician. Failure to follow all warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Always choose the workout that best fits your physical strength and flexibility level. Know your limits and train within them. Always use common sense when exercising.
- Do not wear loose or dangling clothing while using the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT.
- Never exercise in bare feet or socks; always wear proper footwear such as running, walking, or cross-training shoes that fit well, provide foot support, and feature non-skid rubber soles.
- Be careful to maintain your balance while using, mounting, dismounting, or assembling the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT, loss of balance may result in a fall and bodily injury.
- The STAIR CLIMBER SPORT should not be used by persons weighing over 300 lbs /135 kgs.
- The STAIR CLIMBER SPORT should have a training area of 23.63 inch / 60 cm surrounding the product.
BEFORE starting any fitness or strength program, consult with your physician or health official. This will ensure that you engage in the proper strength or fitness program for your age and physical condition.
Before using the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport, answer these questions:
- Have you been sick recently?
- Have you had prolonged dizziness recently?
- Have you been out of breath for no reason recently?
- Have you had chest pain recently?
- Do you currently have any injuries preventing you from exercising?
- Are you pregnant?
- Do you have any conditions or reasons you should NOT exercise?
- Are you over 35 years old and physically inactive?
- Have you been told by a doctor that you should NOT exercise?
If you answer “yes” to any of the above questions, you should seek further
advice from your doctor before using the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport.
Read the user manual fully and follow all instructions. This ensures your
safety.
- NEVER exceed the weight limit for this stair climber. The weight limit for this equipment is 300 lbs / 135 kg. Do not use the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport if your body weight is more than 300 lbs / 135 kg.
- NEVER use the equipment if it is not properly / completely assembled or is damaged in any way.
- NEVER allow children or pets to play on or around the stair climber during operation. This helps protect them from injury from moving parts.
- ALWAYS set the equipment up properly for your specific body type.
- NEVER use the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport when sick or fatigued.
- ALWAYS warm up / stretch before starting exercise.
- ALWAYS ensure that you have a water bottle filled with at least 12 oz. of water and a towel close by to absorb sweat from your body and the handrails.
- ALWAYS hold the handrails when beginning your workout on the equipment until you are familiar with the use of the equipment.
- Do not stand or climb on the handrails.
- ALWAYS keep long hair should be tied back or tucked away. Ensure that shoelaces are tucked into your shoes.
- ALWAYS keep hands away from moving parts and ensure that hands are safely placed on handlebars during use.
- ALWAYS be cautious when getting on and off the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport.
- NEVER use accessory attachments that have not been recommended by the manufacturer. Using such attachments may cause injury or damage to the equipment and will affect the warranty of the equipment.
- ALWAYS ensure that the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport is wiped down after each use to keep it sanitary.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
- NEVER use the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport in a standing position at high revolutions per minute (RPM).
- ALWAYS keep your pelvis positioned over the centerline of the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport.
If any problems arise affecting the performance of the Echelon® Stair Climber
Sport, contact the manufacturer immediately. Always ensure that parts that
undergo wear are checked regularly.
This safety information and user manual do not replace the need to be alert
and to use common sense when using the Echelon® Stair Climber Sport!
BATTERY REQUIREMENTS
- This product requires ×2 AA batteries.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh, etc.) batteries.
IDENTIFICATION CHART
This chart is provided to help identify the hardware used in the assembly
process. Place the washers or the ends of the bolts or screws on the circles
to check for the correct diameter. Use the small scale to check the length of
the bolts and screws.
NOTICE: The length of all bolts and screws, except those with flat heads, is measured from below the head to the end of the bolt or screw. Flathead bolts and screws are measured from the top of the head to the end of the bolt or screw.
Do not open sections of the hardware pack until they are needed.
STAIR CLIMBER SPORT SPECIFICATIONS
For replacement parts, refer to the MASTER PARTS LIST.
ASSEMBLY
Latching the leg supports.
- a. Open the carton and take out the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT from the carton box.
- b. Pull out the Incline Support Leg and move the latch from the storage position to the L1 locking position.
Latching the handlebars.
- a. Rotate the quick release counter-clockwise for three turns on both sides to loosen the handlebar. Lift and move the handlebar, and make sure the latch is locked into the locking position.
- b. Rotate the quick release clockwise for three turns.
Assembly should take place on a soft surface, such as a carpet or a rug, or with the cardboard box opened to protect the floor.
Assembling the console.
- a. Disassemble the Monitor Knob (113) from the Monitor (83). Connect the wiring heads of Console Wire (83a) and Sensor Wire (84) between Monitor (83) and Handlebar (3) as illustrated.
- b. Attach the Monitor (83) onto the Handlebar (3) and use Monitor Knob (113) to tighten the Monitor (83).
- c. Adjust the Monitor (83) to the appropriate readout angle during your exercise.
Beginner instruction.
- a. Step on the pedal closer to the floor, and step another foot on the other pedal.
- b. Hold the handlebar to balance your body before starting the exercise, and continue holding the handlebars during the duration of your exercise.
- c. To avoid damage to the plastics, assemble rail cushions on the bottom of the rails (see Step 4), or control the resistance to prevent the pedals from hitting the rear cover.
- d. To adjust the resistance and pedaling speed, rotate the resistance adjustment knob clockwise to increase the training strength and lower the pedaling speed. Rotate the resistance adjustment knob counterclockwise to decrease the resistance and increase the pedaling speed.
Incline adjustment.
- a. There are 3 incline levels in total labeled as L1 / L2 / L3.
- b. To adjust the incline angle of the STAIR CLIMBER SPORT, begin by using your foot to step on the bottom of the Incline Support Leg and lift the main frame with both hands.
- c. Secondly, move the latch out of the locking position to the ideal incline level.
Handlebar angle adjustment
- a. To adjust the handlebar angle, rotate the quick release counter-clockwise for three turns on both sides to loosen the handlebar. Use your foot to step on the bottom of the Incline Support Leg and hold the left/right Handlebar with both hands for the next step.
- b. Move the handlebar to a vertical or tilted position, and then rotate the quick release clockwise for three turns to tighten the handlebar.
CONNECTING TO THE APP
Connecting to the Echelon Fit® App
- Ensure your smart device is powered on.
- Log in to the Echelon Fit® app.
- a. Use the email and password used to create your membership account, as described on page 27.
- b. Select user. There may only be one option.
- Select a class.
- a. Press play.
CONSOLE OPERATION
INITIAL SETUP
POWER ON:
- Start pedaling or press any buttons to turn on the console.
- All windows will displayed for 1 second along with a beep sound when the console is turned on.
- The console goes into standby mode when there’s no activity for over 4 seconds.
POWER OFF
When there is no activity for more than 4 minutes, the console will
automatically enter sleep mode.
BEEP SOUND
- There’s 1 short beep sound when pressing any buttons.
- 2 short beep sounds represent no activity on the console.
- No beep will sound when long pressing any buttons.
BATTERY
- 0 progress bar: the battery is below 2.4 voltage
- 1 progress bar: the battery is between 2.4~2.6 voltage
- 2 progress bar: the battery is between 2.6~2.9 voltage
- 3 progress bar: the battery is above 2.9 voltage
BLUETOOTH®
- Download the Echelon Fit® app and connect to a smart device.
- When the Bluetooth® signal is turned on, the Bluetooth® icon appears on the monitor window.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Hold and long press both the MODE and UP buttons to enter factory setting mode.
- STEP/min window displays the software version number.
- ELEVATION window displays Meter or Feet. Press the UP or DOWN button to adjust the distance unit.
BUTTON FUNCTIONS
ENTER & MODE
Under standby mode, press the button to switch to different training
programs in the below sequence: LX (Incline Level) → Time Countdown → Step
Countdown → Elevation Countdown → Calorie Countdown.
CONSOLE OPERATION
- After completing the value setting under any of the training programs, press this button to continue to the next step.
- Long press this button for over 3 seconds, and all training data will be cleared. Note that data under Total Steps will not be cleared.
- There’s 1 short beep sound when pressing this button.
UP BUTTON

Under different training programs, press this button to increase the preset values.
-
Press this button for 1 time, preset value will increase by 1 unit.
Hold and long press this button, and the preset value will add up automatically. -
Press this button to choose different incline levels from L1, L2, to L3.
DOWN BUTTON
- Under different training programs, press this button to decrease the preset values.
- Press this button for 1 time, preset value will decrease by 1 unit. Hold and long press this button, preset value will lower down automatically.
- Press this button to choose different incline levels from L1, L2, to L3.
CONSOLE DISPLAY
TIME
- Display the total workout time accumulated under any training programs, except for the Time Countdown Program.
- Display range: 00:00 ~ 99:59 minutes: seconds.
- Display remaining time under the Time Countdown Program.
STEPS
- Display the workout steps accumulated under any training programs, except for Time
- Display range: 0 ~ 9999 steps.
- Display the remaining steps under Stethe p Countdown Program.
TOTAL STEPS
- Display the accumulated total steps from all your current and past trainings.
- Display range: 0 ~ 9999 steps.
- To clear the data, remove the battery and re-install.
STEP/min
- Display the number of steps reached in 1 minute for the current training.
- Display range: 0 ~ 999 steps/min.
CLIMB/min
- Display the workout distance reached in 1 minute for the current training.
- Display range: 0 ~ 999 climb/min.
ELEVATION
- Display the workout distance accumulated under any training programs, except for the Elevation Countdown Program.
- Display range: 0 ~ 999 meters or 0 ~ 9999 feet.
CALORIES
- Display the total calories accumulated during the workout, except for the Calories Countdown Program.
- Display range: 0 ~ 9999 Kcals.
LXX (INCLINE LEVEL):
- Display incline level from L1 / L2 / L3.
- Calories consumed are different under different incline level settings. L1 has the lowest number of calories consumed, and L3 has the highest number of calories consumed.
- Incline level flashes after the monitor is powered on. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to choose the corresponding incline level. To know the correct incline level, find the incline level markings on the Incline Support Leg.
- If the incline level on the Incline Support Leg is adjusted to a different level during exercise, press and hold the MODE button for at least 5 seconds and wait until the incline level flashes. Press UP/DOWN to choose the new incline level.
PROGRAMS
The console has 4 programs: Time Countdown, Step Countdown, Elevation
Countdown, and Calories Countdown.
- Press the MODE button to choose a workout program according to the following sequence: Time Countdown → Step Countdown → Elevation Countdown → Calorie Countdown
- NOTE : Make sure the console is in standby mode to choose any programs for the training.
TIME COUNTDOWN
- To enter the Time Countdown Program, press the MODE button until the TIME window flashes.
- Press the UP/ DOWN buttons to increase/ decrease the target time. Press the ENTER button to confirm the setting and begin the exercise.
- When time counts down to zero, the TIME window flashes and there are 4 beep sounds in the meantime. Value under the TIME window starts to count up after reaching zero.
- The workout setting range is 1:00 ~ 99:00 minutes: seconds.
STEP COUNTDOWN
- To enter the Step Countdown Program, press the MODE button until the STEPS window flashes.
- Press the UP/ DOWN buttons to increase/ decrease target steps. Press the ENTER button to confirm the setting and begin the exercise.
- When the step counts down to zero, the STEPS window flashes and there are 4 beep sounds in the meantime. Value under the STEPS window starts to count up after reaching zero.
- The workout setting range is 10 ~ 9990 steps.
ELEVATION COUNTDOWN
- To enter the Elevation Countdown Program, press the MODE button until the ELEVATION window flashes.
- Press UP/ DOWN buttons to increase/ decrease target elevations. Press ENTER button to confirm the setting and begin the exercise.
- When elevation counts down to zero, ELEVATION window flashes and there are 4 beep sounds in the meantime. Value under ELEVATION window starts to count up after reaching to zero.
- The workout setting range is 10 ~ 9990 meters or 0.1 ~ 9999 feet.
CALORIES COUNTDOWN
- To enter the Calories Countdown Program, press MODE button until CALORIE window flashes.
- Press UP/ DOWN buttons to increase/ decrease target calories. Press ENTER button to confirm the setting and begin the exercise.
- When calorie counts down to zero, CALORIE window flashes and there are 4 beep sounds in the meantime. Value under CALORIE window starts to count up after reaching to zero.
- The workout setting range is 10 ~ 9990 Kcal.
USING THE ECHELON STAIR CLIMBER SPORT

Activate Echelon Premier Membership to connect to classes.
You should have received an activation email after purchasing this product.
- a. Follow the link from the activation email.
- b. Choose “Sign Up Now” and follow the prompts to complete your membership enrollment.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Each Use
- Make sure all locking pins and adjustments are set before use. Not doing so could result in user harm.
Weekly
- Inspect foot platforms for damage or deformation. If any looseness is felt, remove and inspect the rollers carefully for any damage and clean the track of any dirt and debris.
- Use a clean microfiber rag to clean out the track for the foot platforms thoroughly.
- Assess the incline adjustment mechanism for any damage to the frame. Clean any dirt and debris.
- Make sure to test your batteries to ake sure you always have a reliable source of power to your console. We recommend rechargeable batteries to ensure you always have a backup set.
- Inspect the plastic housing for damage. If you find that any parts are damage, contact Customer Service (833-937-2453) to order a new part.
- Test console functions thoroughly to make sure the device is in proper working order. If a replacement console is needed, contact Customer Service (833-937-2453) to order a replacement. Depending on your unit, some of the functions you will need to check are the following:

- c. Resistance & Resistance Buttons
- d. USB Charger
Monthly

Remove back cover with a phillips head screwdriver and inspect the belt for damage by having an assistant move the pedals back and forth. If any damage or fraying of the belt is observed, contact Customer Service (833-
937- 2453) for further steps on torubleshooting or replacements. -
If any looseness is felt on the belt, locate the two 6mm bolts at the bottom of the unite that are attached to the springs. These tighten each bolt 1/4 turn to tighten the belt evenly. Do not tighten more than what fixes the pedal slippage. Doing so may damage the belt over time or cause injury or harm to the user.

If your Echelon Stair Climber Sport develops a metal-on-metal sound, open the back plastic cover with a phillips head screw. Locate and tighten or loosen the center bolt over the flywheel using a 5mm Allen Wrench to adjust the flywheel’s position closer or further from the magnet to prevent the metal-on-metal sound.
