OPUS INTEGRITY TRIPLE-2024

  • The OPUS Integrity Triple-2024 is a point-of-use countertop drinking water system for municipal water supplies that add fluoride, and will purify water treated with either chlorine or chloramines.
  • The OPUS Integrity Triple-2024 includes three filtration components and five filtration stages, with up to 99.5% removal of fluoride, chlorine, chloramines, lead, mercury, heavy metals, PFAS, VOCs, and many viruses and bacteria, including Cryptosporidium,
  • Giardia, E. coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Shigella dysenteriae and Hepatitis A, while maintaining existing pH (alkalinity) and dissolved minerals. This system filters dirt, rust, sediment, etc., down to 1 micron in size.
  • This system features a bone char filter to adsorb fluoride, arsenic and lead, and two types of coconut shell carbon block filters: (1) coconut shell activated carbon block, and (2) coconut shell catalytic carbon block, to produce great-tasting, mineral-rich, highly purified water.
  • This system is superior to the popular “Brita” types of filters, which have no micron rating and are ineffective at removing fluoride and the majority of contaminants, toxins and pathogens in water. In addition, as these filters usually only use activated carbon,  they are ineffective at removing chloramines. Because they have no micron rating, they are unable to filter parasites, bacteria, viruses, dirt, rust or sediment from water. To understand the size of a one micron filter, as this system has, a human hair is 70 microns, household dust can be 40 microns, white bloods cells are about 25 microns, and red blood cells are about 5 microns. Any particle smaller than 50-60 microns is too small for the eye to see.
  • The Integrity Triple-2024 is designed to purify up to 5 gallons per day, or 1,825 gallons per year with an average flow rate of 1 to 2 litres per minute.

Included Components

  1. Triple filter countertop unit for installation using a diverter valve that connects to an existing kitchen or bathroom faucet that uses a standard aerator. (This unit will not work with faucets equipped with pull-out sprayers.)
  2. Stage 1 & 2: 5 Micron Coconut Shell Carbon Block Filter that removes sediment 5 microns and larger, adsorbs chlorine and many contaminants, improves taste and removes odors. This filter is installed in the first vertical filter container (sump). This filter should be changed every six months, so two filters are included for up to one year of use. Because of the variation in sediment levels in municipal water supplies and the volume of water filtered, it is possible that more than two will be required per year, although this is rare.
  3. Stage 3: Bone Char Fluoride Filter. The center vertical stage of the system, this filter removes fluoride, arsenic and lead. Replace this filter annually.
  4. Stage 4 & 5: 1 Micron Coconut Shell Catalytic Carbon Block Filter that removes chlorine and chloramines, particulates down to 1 micron, and eliminates or reduces PFAS, many bacteria and parasites, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, E. coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Shigella dysenteriae, and Hepatitis A.
  5. Integrated lead-free chrome faucet.
  6. Three Year Limited Warranty if filters are changed annually or semi-annually, as indicated.

FILTRATION UNIT DESCRIPTION

Stage 1 & 2 – 5 Micron Coconut Carbon Block Dirt/Rust/Sediment Filter: In normal use, this filter should be replaced every six months. However, depending on the quantity of water purified and the level of dissolved solids and sediment in your water, you may need to change it more often. Change this filter if the flow rate for the purified water slows to unacceptable levels, or, at minimum, every six months. One extra filter is included. This filter is next to the water input tubing. This filter is labeled Stage 1 & 2 – 5 Micron Coconut Carbon Block Sediment on the base of the unit.

Stage 3 – Bone Char Fluoride Filter. This is the center vertical stage of the unit. This filter is designed to remove fluoride, arsenic and lead. Replace this filter annually.
This filter is labeled Stage 3 – Bone Char Fluoride/Arsenic/Lead Filter on the base of the unit.

Stage 4 & 5 – 1 Micron Coconut Shell Catalytic Carbon Block Filter that adsorbs chlorine and chloramines, particulates down to 1 micron, and eliminates or reduces many bacteria and parasites, including Giardia, Cryptosporidium, E. coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Shigella dysenteriae, and Hepatitis A. This filter is installed in the filter container (sump) next to the chrome faucet.

This filter is labeled Stage 4 & 5 – 1 Micron Sediment/Catalytic Carbon Chlorine/Chloramines/Taste and Odor Filter on the base of the unit.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • STEP 1 – Attach the diverter valve to your kitchen or bathroom faucet. If you have a sprayer in your kitchen faucet, you may be able to use this filter in your bathroom, instead; however, you might need to buy an adapter to allow you to screw the diverter valve onto your bathroom faucet, available at Home Depot, etc.
  • STEP 2 – Unscrew the middle filter holder (Stage 3) and remove the bone char fluoride filter. Replace the filter holder and tighten it to ensure no leaks. Note, there is a rubber washer in the base of the unit that must be in place to prevent leakage when the filter holder is screwed on.
  • STEP 3 – Unscrew the right filter holder (closest to the integrated output faucet), labeled Stage 4 & 5, and remove the 1-micron filter. Replace the filter holder by screwing it tightly to ensure there are no leaks. Note, there is a rubber washer in the base of the unit that must be in place to prevent leakage when the filter holder is screwed on.
  • STEP 4 – Turn on the cold water, and pull out the pin/stem on the diverter valve to divert water to the Integrity Triple-2024 filtration unit. You must never run hot water through the unit since it’s only designed to filter cold water. During this step only the filter in the left stage (closest to the water input) is installed. The middle and right stage (which is next to the faucet) must be empty. Run water through the system for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 5 – Turn off the cold water, open the middle filter container, and reinsert the fluoride filter. The rubber washer on this filter must face downwards. The orientation of the other filters can be in either direction.
  • STEP 6 – Turn on the cold water, pull out the diverter pin/stem, and let the water run through the system for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 7 – Remove the filter housing on the right side of the system (closest to the integrated faucet), and reinstall the 1 micron catalytic carbon block filter. This filter can be installed in either direction.
  • STEP 8 – Turn on the cold water, pull out the diverter pin/stem, and flush the final filter for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 9 – Enjoy delicious water, free of chlorine, chloramines, lead, mercury, PFAS, and a wide variety of contaminants, bacteria, viruses, toxins and chemicals. Remember to change the Stage 1 & 2 filter every six months.
