Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) information: This LineaPro-7 meets the government’s requirements for exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards that were developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age or health. FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement the SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the LineaPro-7 kept 5mm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain an 0mm separation distance between the user’s body and the back of the LineaPro-7. The use of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, and should be avoided.

Battery charging
Battery charging
Battery can be charging via mini USB type C port or from Datecs power station.
Please charge battery in operating ambient temp. 0⁰C to +40⁰C.
Use only approved USB power chargers and USB cables.
This product is intended to be supplied by a Listed Direct Power Unit marked
“Class2” and 5.2V dc, 2000mA.
Use only Datecs power station, when is charging from charging pads.
Don’t connect any other things to charging pads.
If the device is equipped with encrypted magnetic stripe reader do not
discharge fully the battery.
Keep it charged all the time (when is possible).
Battery LED indications and status button
For checking battery level, can be pressed status button.

→ LED 1 is lights – battery level is between 1 -25%

→ LED 1 and 2 LED are light – battery level is between 26 -50%

→ LED 1, LED2 and LED3 are light – battery level is between 51 -75%

Notes:
If the LineaPro-7 is equipped with magnetic stripe reader; the device will stop connection with iPhone7 when the battery is drained below 3.4V (will not allow connection with iPhone7) Battery Status can be checked without attaching iPhone7 to LineaPro-7. Only press status button.
Inserting iPhone 7 into LineaPro-7
Take LineaPro-7 and lift the back cover, insert the iPhone 7 and close the back cover as shown on Picture 3.
Operating with LineaPro-7
For start operating with LineaPro-7 is need to be attached iPhone 7 and
installed application for iOS.

For wake up/start LineaPro-7 press scan button and unlock the iPhone 7 screen.
Starting application
Start application “Library Demo”, first tab is “Scanner”, on this tab is
showed:

Auto off time in seconds(this time is mean how many seconds will have
LineaPro-7 active
connection with iPhone 7. This time can be changed.)

Battery level of LineaPro-7 in % and Voltage
When iPhone 7 is removed or active connection is closed, LineaPro-7 will go to sleep mode after 30 sec.
Scanning barcodes
LineaPro-7 can scan 1D and 2D barcodes. To scan barcode first activate the scanner. Then position the scanning head to the center of the barcode by aiming and the illumination box is over the outer edges of the barcode.
Slowly pull back or forward the unit, while increasing or decrease the
distance between the barcode and the scanning head, until the barcode has been
read by the scanner. Scanned barcode will be shown on first tab “Scanner”
LineaPro-7 supports scan modes:
- Single scan – one scan and scanner is turned off, until next pressing the scan button
- Multi scan – with holding scan button can be scanned many barcodes
- Motion detect – scanner is activated automatically when barcode is moved near to the barcode engine.
- Multi scan without duplicates – scanning many barcodes without duplicates.
Magnetic cards reading
The Linea Pro 7 has a built-in magnetic card reader. The card reader
incorporates a (3) track magnetic read head, requiring a single swipe to read
field data from all three tracks.
The magnetic reading head faces up, towards the top of the bottom cover of the
cradle.
When swiping the card into the reader, the magnetic stripe must be facing
down, as shown in the figure below. Keep the edge of the card flat on the
inner base of the reader to ensure that the magnetic stripe passes over the
reading head evenly.
Contactless cards reading
In order to use the contactless card reading function, special software must
be used.
Please contact your distributor in order to get the latest demo application
and SDK.
Place the card on the shown spot and press the reading RFID card button on the application. The data will be sent from the LineaPro-7 Tab contactless reader to the Apple Device.
Enable/Disable Sync iPhone7 with PC or MAC
LineaPro-7 is supporting sync function when USB cable is plugged.
If the setting is enabled “pass-through sync”, when USB cable is plugged can
be sync with PC or MAC.
If “pass-through sync” is disabled, when the USB cable is plugged will charge
only.
Turn device off function
When is pressed this turn off, LineaPro-7 goes to sleep mode immediately.
IPhone7 charging and automatic charge
Updating LineaPro-7 firmware
LineaPro-7 firmware can be updated via SDK.
Press update button and will be shown current and available version, press
again for update.
Note:
Before update please charge LineaPro-7 battery and iPhone 7 batteries.
