Battery instructions

This device contains an irreplaceable battery.
This device includes a Li-ion battery. Do not incinerate or expose it to high temperatures, as it may explode.
WARNING : to recharge the battery, use only the power cord supplied with the appliance.
Leaks from the battery or cells can occur under extreme conditions. Do not touch any liquid that leaks from the battery. If the liquid comes into contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately following local regulations.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children when there is a risk of ingestion.
Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft tissue perforation, and death. It cancause severe burns within two hours ofthe ingestion.
In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical help immediately.

BEFORE USE

This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly. Make sure all parts and components are included and in good condition. If there is any piece missing or in bad condition, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

OPERATION

Charging the device

Make sure the appliance is switched off.
Slide the cover of the charging port to access it.
Connect the charging cord to the product and then to a compatible power adapter.
Charge the appliance to full power before using the appliance for the first time or after a long period of activity.
The battery indicator light will illuminate red indicating that the device is charging; once fully charged, the indicator Light will illuminate green.

Device operation

Fully charge the battery before using the hair straightener.
Remove the plate lock by sliding the button to the unlocked position.
Hold down the power button for 2 seconds to switch the appliance on. Once switched on, the appliance will start to heat up and the power indicator light will flash blue. The default temperature is 180 °C, so the blue indicator light will stop flashing when the set temperature is reached(approximately 3 minutes).
Separate strands of hair about 2 cm wide and glide the straightener from the roots to the ends to straighten the hair.
Repeat the process on the same strand until getting the desired straightness is achieved; then, move on to the next strand.
When the battery is low, the battery indicator light will flash red until it turns off automatically.
Hold down the power button for 2 seconds to switch the appliance off.
Activate the plate lock before storing the product.

Power button lock

Press the power button twice while the hair straightener is switched off. The battery indicator light will flash red three times to indicate that the lock function has been activated.
While the hair straightener is locked, press the power button twice. The power indicator light will flash blue three times indicating that the appliance has been unlocked. Next, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to operate the hair straightener normally.
When the hair straightener is switched on, the locking and unlocking functions are not activated. First, you have to press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to switch it off, then you have to press the button twice to be able to use these functions.

Note
The battery indicator light and the power indicator light will flash at the same time when product malfunction is detected. In that case, contact the official Cecotec Technical SupportService.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Switch off the hair straightener and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the plates and housing.
Do not use abrasive detergents, cleaning agents or solvents.
Never immerse the product in water or any other liquid.
If you store the product for a long period, fully charge the battery and discharge it again at least once every 6 months. Activate the plate lock when storing the product to prevent damage to the plates.
