Ironing tips
Always check if the garment to be steamed has a label with instructions for
ironing, and if it has, follow the instructions.
If the fabric consists of various kinds of fibers, always select the lowest
ironing temperature. Synthetic fibred and silk fabrics should be ironed on
their inner side to avoid being damaged.
Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one
direction with light pressure applied.
Always keep the iron moving. Pure wool fabrics (100% wool) may be ironed with
steam iron. Use a dry cloth as a mat and then select the corresponding fabric
setting for ironing. Never iron over zip, or rivet in the cloth, as this will
damage the soleplate. Before activating the clean function, ensure that the
water in the tank is sufficient, and prepare a high temperature-resistant
container to be placed under the soleplate for holding the dirty water sprayed
from the steam hole of the soleplate during cleaning.
After a few minutes, the temperature indicator will turn off indicating the
soleplate has reached the selected temperature and the iron is ready to use
with steam.
Press the steam trigger to activate steam ironing. Release it to stop.
Note: Water may drip during the spraying steam function when the
temperature is set at the low settings.
Warnings: Do not activate the steam button when the iron is placed on the
unit base to avoid beingscalded by steam. After ironing, remove the plug from
the wall socket. The appliance will turn off and all the indicators will turn
off too. Allow the whole unit to cool completely down before holding or
storing it.

If the scale blocks the steam holes, use a toothpick to remove it. If the appliance is not going to be used for a long time, pour out the water in the tank and store the iron on the thermal insulating cushion.
