OPERATION

How to fill the water tank
Make sure the iron is turned off and unplugged from the mains supply before following the below instructions:

  • The product may be used with tap water. If the lime content of the tap water is too high, use a mix composed of 50 % of tap water and 50 % of water with low mineral content.
  • Remove the water tank from the boiler and fill it with tap water. Do not exceed the MAX mark on its surface.
  • Install the water tank back in place. Let the water tank rest on its base and carefully push it until it clicks into place.

Using the iron

  • Plug the appliance to the mains supply and press the power button. The power indicator light and the steam indicator light will turn on. That means both the iron and the boiler have started up.
  • Select the desired temperature with the temperature control dial according to the international symbols on the label of your clothes.
  • Within about 2 minutes, the temperature indicator light will turn off. This means the iron is ready to be used.
  • Within about 3 minutes, the steam indicator light will turn off. This means the iron is ready to be operated with steam.

Steam ironing

  • When using the iron for the first time, iron a plain cloth first.
  • Choose one of the positions of the temperature control dial for steam ironing according to the type of fabric to be ironed. Only positions (··) and (···) can be used when steam ironing.
  • Once the steam indicator light and the temperature indicator light turn off, the iron will be ready to be used.
  • Press the steam button to release steam whenever necessary. This appliance is also able to generate steam in a vertical position and can therefore be used to iron textiles such as curtains, hanging clothes, etc. If you hear a loud water sound while ironing, there is no water in the water tank. Press the power button to turn the appliance off and fill the water tank. Then, turn the appliance on again and continue ironing normally.
Warning: Never attempt to open the cleaning valve while the boiler is under pressure.

Dry ironing

  • Select the desired temperature with the temperature control dial. Wait until the temperature indicator light turns off before ironing.
  • The steam button must not be pressed when dry ironing.

Residual steam release
When you finish ironing, press the power button to turn the appliance off. Then, press the steam button to release the residual steam that remains in the boiler.

Anti-drip function
This system controls the water flow emitted to the soleplate at all times. Below a certain temperature, the anti-drip function cuts off the water flow and prevents the iron from dripping water onto the fabric.
Protection against overheating
The steam station features a safety system that is automatically activated in case of overheating in order to turn the device off. The steam station can take up to 45-60 minutes to completely cool down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Turn off, unplug the appliance from the power supply, empty the water tank (do it after each use) and allow it to cool down completely.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device’s surface.
  • In case fabric is adhered to the soleplate due to heat, use a damp cloth and vinegar to detach it. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.
  • If scale blocks the steam holes, use a toothpick to remove it.
  • If the appliance is not going to be used for a long time, pour out the water in the tank and store it.

Soleplate
Starch and other types of residue may be easily removed from the soleplate with a damp cloth. To avoid scratches on its finish, do not use metallic scouring pads to clean the soleplate and never place the iron on a rough surface. If synthetic fabrics are ironed at high temperature, both the fabric and the soleplate of the iron could be damaged. The best way to remove synthetic residue from the soleplate is to heat it up and iron over an old cotton rag.
Warning: Do not use steam iron cleaners in this iron, since they could damage its parts.

Reboiler

  • Release the residual steam in the boiler after every use.
  • Turn the appliance off, unplug it, and let it cool down.
  • Make sure there is no pressure inside the boiler. Then, let the appliance rest on the opposite side to the cleaning valve and open it.
  • Fill the boiler with clean water and clean it with a brush. Shake the boiler gently and pour water out. Repeat this process 2-3 times and screw the cleaning valve tightly.
Warning: Never attempt to open the cleaning valve while the boiler is under pressure.

Storage

  • Turn the device off, disconnect it from the power supply and allow it to cool down completely. Place the iron correctly on its stand. Make sure that there are no traces of water under the plate, as these may cause stains.
  • There is a special space inside the steam station to store the power cord and the hose. Store the appliance in a dry and cool place.
