A. The fan must be placed at a distance of 2.3 m from the floor. The clearance between the blades and the wall must be 0.76 metres. Fig. 2
B. Do not install on a vaulted ceiling. Fig. 3

Installing the mounting bracket
Fig. 4
NOTE: the mounting bracket is required to install the fan on a wooden ceiling or on a sloped ceiling.
– If the fan is to be installed in a concrete ceiling, drill a hole with an 8 mm drill bit, considering the length of the expansion screws. Then, fix the mounting bracket to the ceiling with the expansion screws.
NOTE: drill an 8 mm hole before fitting the M6 expansion screws.
– You will need different screws/dowels depending on the type of ceiling on which you are installing the fan. If you are installing the fan on a wooden ceiling, it is important that you install the mounting bracket. Once it is in place, make sure that it can support a weight of more than 60 kg.

Installation

  1. Insert the downrod into the canopy and the trim. Pass the fan power cable through the downrod. Then, insert the downrod into the hanging ball and align the holes of both parts.
Next, fit the bolt and pin. Finally, tighten the two fixing screws securing the downrod to the trim. Fig. 5

  2. Place the fan in the bracket and rotate the downrod slowly so that the tabs of the mounting bracket are inserted into the slots of the hanging ball. Fig. 6.

Fig. 11 key

  1. Phase wire
  2. Neutral wire

NOTE: when the wires are connected, use the heat shrink sleeve (found in the mounting kit bag) to join the two terminals together. Shrink the sleeve with the help of a heat gun.
2. Once you have connected the light wires, insert the two terminals into the hole in the lamp panel as shown in Fig. 12.

Installing the lampshade
Fig. 13

  1. Take out the lampshade from the box. Fit the three tabs of the lampshade with the slots of the LED light panel.
  2. Next, turn the lampshade clockwise.

Power cord connection
Fig. 14
NOTE: the wiring must be disconnected from the power supply. It must be connected to a plug with a minimum spacing of 3 millimetres per pole.
The wall switch can be used to turn the light on or off. The remote control can also be used to switch the light on and off and to adjust the speed.

Installation
– Connect the blue wire from the remote-control receiver to the blue wire from the fan.
– Connect the white wire from the remote-control receiver to the white wire from the fan.
Connect the red wire from the remote-control receiver to the red wire from the fan.
– Connect the yellow wire from the remote-control receiver to the yellow wire from the fan. Connect the grey wire from the remote control receiver to the grey wire from the fan.
Connect the yellow-green ground wire to the earth wire through the terminal block.
– Connect the neutral wire to the white neutral wire of the remote-control receiver via the terminal block. Connect the power cable to the black wire of the remote-control receiver via the terminal block.
NOTE: before connecting any cables, make sure that you have disconnected the power.
– When you have finished connecting all the cables, place the remote-control receiver in the recess provided for this purpose and follow the steps shown in Fig. 15.

Installing the canopy

  1. Once the fan has been hung up, fit the canopy cover.
  2. Turn it to the correct position and screw it into place. Fig. 16

Fan balancing method
NOTE: if the fan wobbles when operating, check that all screws on all parts are properly tightened. If screws are not the problem, try the following options:

  1. Change the position of the blades. Fig. 17
    a. Interchange the position of blades 1 and 2.
    b. If, after doing this, you do not notice that the problem is solved, swap the position of blades 2 and 3.

  7. Timer button. Up to 8 hours of operation can be selected, after which the fan will switch off.

NOTE: once you press the timer button, do not press any other button. Otherwise, the function will be cancelled.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING:
– Before cleaning or repairing the fan, disconnect it from the mains.
– To avoid risk of fire and electric shock, only use the switch provided with this fan.

  1. It is recommended to check at least once a year the connecting parts of the fan, such as the fastening screws and blades, to ensure that they are completely fixed.
  2. Clean the ceiling fan regularly. To remove dust from the surface, use a soft brush or cloth.
  3. If the fan has grease on it, wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth. Do not rinse the fan directly with water.
  4. The motor bearing is already greased, do not add lubricating oil.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution
The fan does not switch on 1. Check if the fan fuses are blown or if the

automatic protection system has tripped, causing a fault in the circuit.
2. Check if the voltage is much lower than the nominal voltage of the fan (the fan will only start if the voltage exceeds 176 V).
3. Check the internal wiring of the fan for loose or faulty contacts.
Note: if the problem persists after performing the above three checks, please contact the Official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
Fan makes noise| 1. Before mounting the fan, make sure that it is not damaged.
2. Make sure that the downrod bolt is correctly positioned and that the screws are tightened securely.
3. Some new ceiling fans make noise for the first 24 hours, after which they stop making noise.
4. It is not recommended to install this fan on wooden ceilings, steel structures or prefabricated slabs, as they amplify the sound of the fan.
Fan light does not turn on| 1. Check if the lamp cable connection is loose.
2. Check that the light switch contact is not damaged or loose.
3. Check if the bulb is blown.
