HOW THIS DOG TRAINING COLLAR WORKS

When the dog has bad behavior, the owner controls the collar with a remote to emit harmless buzzing and vibration signals to remind the dog. After a period of training, the dog eventually learns to associate bad behavior with the warning from the collar, and achieved the purpose that the owner wanted to train the dog.

HOW TO TRAIN DOGS EFFECTIVELY

For example, when your dog barks or bites the sofa, you can communicate with him via the remote transmitter, so that he can respond to your call immediately.

1. Wear this collar receiver for your dog.
2. Set the remote transmitter to the lowest stimulation level.
3. When he barks or bites the sofa. You make a “NO” gesture and press the sound button at the same time.
4. If he does not stop this behavior, you press the vibration button again.
5. If he looks at you confusedly at this time, you need to tell him “Yes, please stop this bad behavior”.
6. When he stops bad behavior, please praise him and reward him. Repeat this for 3 or 4 times.

Tips

1. If your dog has no obvious improvement after using it, we recommend that you use it for a few more days, usually after 7-10 days of wearing and training, the dog will have obvious changes.
2. Dog training collars are used to correct bad behavior of dogs, not for punishment. Obviously, the collar is a safe and effective training tool. Build communication and strengthen your bond with your dog. Obey all safety messages that follow this instruction to avoid possible injury.

BEFORE USING THE DOG COLLAR

1. Do not expose to extreme heat or store at the temperatures above 113℉ or 45℃.
2. Please always keep the dog training collar out of reach of children.
3. If the dog suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure, cerebral thrombosis, skin allergies, etc., please do not use it.

HOW TO WEAR COLLAR STRAP

Tips

1. The receiver shall be placed on bottom of the dog’s neck.
2. The space between collar and the dog’s neck should be maintained to a finger distance, which can’t be too loose.
3. If the collar strap is too long, please cut off the excessive portion. Use a lighter to melt the burr edge.
4. The collar can be worn often, but we recommend taking it off for several hours a day to let the dog feel relaxed and free.
5. Here are the steps of wearing the collar strap：

INTRODUCTION OF THE BUTTONS

1. Signal Channel Button: Press this button, choose channel 1,2 or 3 as the signal channel of dog training before connecting the signals between remote transmitter and receiver.
   Note:
   PD 526V-1: For 1 dog only, 1 receiver, you can choose any channel as your dog training signal, otherwise you have to connect the signals again when training your dog;
   PD 526V-2: For 2 dogs, 2 receivers, you can choose the same signal channel for the 2 receivers, or you can choose 2 signal channels. please remember the signal channel of each receiver;
   PD 526V-3: For 3 dogs, 3 receivers, you can choose the same signal channel for the 3 receivers, or you can choose 3 signal channels, please remember the signal channel of each receiver.

2. Power Button/Key lock of Remote: Press to turn the remote transmitter on and off.

3. Sound and Vibration Button: Press this button and the receiver will emit sound and vibration signal together.

4. Vibration Button: Press this button and the receiver will emit vibration signal.

5. Tone Button: Press this button and the receiver will beep. The tone function is not adjustable.

CHARGING AND CHECKING BATTERY LEVEL

How to Choose USB Charger

Please choose the USB charger with the parameters below (we can charge the device by the charger of smart phone or laptop/computer USB interface, before that please check if the charger is with the following parameters):

Input: 100-240v ~ 50-60HZ
Output: 5V 1000mA (or 300mA/500mA)

Charge the Remote Transmitter

1. Connect the charger cable to the charging port.
2. Plug the charger into a standard socket.
3. The battery icon will flash during charging and be solid when charging is completed

Charge the Receiver

1. Open the rubber cover, connect the receiver to a charger into a standard socket.
2. The red indicator light will flash slowly when the receiver is charging. After fully charged, the red indicator light keeps on.

Check the Receiver Battery Level

When the receiver is turned on, press the power button twice quickly to check the battery level:

Receiver beeps 5 times, representing 100%(80-100%)
Receiver beeps 4 times, representing 80%(60-80%)
Receiver beeps 3 times, representing 60%(40-60%)
Receiver beeps 2 times, representing 40%(20-40%)
Receiver beep 1 time, representing 20%(1-20%)

Tips

1. Charge the remote transmitter and receiver at least 2 hours when you receive the item. the collar cannot work while being charged.
2. The battery is rechargeable. In order to maintain battery life, please charge it every 2 months if it is not often used.
3. The receiver will turn off automatically after 10 seconds “beep” sound when battery is low.
4. The charging rubber cover must be closely covered when your dog swimming or the receiver will get broken when getting into water from the interface. Taking off the receiver is recommended.

HOW TO PAIR THE REMOTE AND RECEIVER

1. Open the remote transmitter, press the button to choose a signal channel you want to use.
2. Turn on the receiver, then hold power button on the receiver for 2 seconds, when the indicator light keeps flashing, press one of the function button like sound, vibration or sound & vibration on remote to pair.
3. If you do not press the function button of the remote within 10 seconds, please pair them again.
4. If you have multiple receivers, you can choose the same signal channel or choose other channel for pairing.

Tips

1. The remote transmitter signal channel and receiver have been paired when out of factory, can be used directly, if not, please follow the user manual to re-pair.
2. Remember the signal channel you choose or the remote transmitter will be invalid.

TEST THE DOG TRAINING COLLAR

1. Sound Function Test
   Press the sound button of the remote, the receiver will make a beep sound.

2. Vibration Function Test
   Press the vibration button of the remote, the receiver will vibrate.

3. Sound and Vibration Function Test
   Press the sound and vibration button of the remote, the receiver will beep and vibrate.

FAQ

The remote transmitter is normal, the receiver is no longer working. How to troubleshoot?

1. Check to see if receiver is turned on.
2. Make sure both remote transmitter and receiver have enough power battery to operate.
3. Try to pair the remote transmitter and receiver again.

Dogs don’t respond to functional instructions?

1. Take off receiver and test all of the three functions work properly.
2. Make sure that the receiver is under the dog’s neck and cannot be worn loose.
3. Please trim the excessively long dog hair.
4. Try different features to stimulate the dog.
5. Gradually increase the level of vibration, from 1 to the highest level of 100.

The receiver collar has stopped working, it won’t turn on or charge. How to troubleshoot?

1. Check the receiver appearance for damage.
2. Check that the charging plug meets the requirements.
3. Connect the receiver to the charger and observe whether the charging status is normal.
4. After the receiver is fully charged, restart and pair.

How do I find the proper levels of vibration for my dog?

Try to find the best suitable levels of vibration for your dog starting from the lowest level and observe how the dog responds. Excessive levels of stimulation shall cause strong response from your dog.

How do I know when to charge the dog training collar?

For Remote Transmitter: The battery level icon will be displayed on the left down side of LCD screen. For Receiver: press the power button twice quickly to check the battery level, if only one beep is emitted, charge it in time.

Can I use dog training collar for more than one dog?

Yes, this dog training collar can use one remote transmitter to control up to three receivers. You only need to pair the receivers with the remote transmitter.

What is the effective distance of your dog training collar?

Without obstacles, the effective distance could be as far as 1000 meters between remote transmitter and receiver collar. However in reality, a list of factors, including signal station, magnetic field, obstacle, battery volume, other wireless devices nearby, landform, vegetative cover, etc, shall influence transmission of signals from remote transmitter and the actual effective distance of remote transmitter.

Any other better training methods?

You can prepare some dog food for training incentive to achieve better training out comes. Each time after you restrain your dog’s misbehavior, you can tell your dog what is supposed to do and what is not. And after a few times of repetitions, your dog will understand what you like and what you don’t like.

How long can I leave receiver collar on my dog?

The collar can be worn often, but we recommend taking it off for several hours a day to let the dog feel relaxed and free.

How long should I process my training session for my dog?

Training sessions should be kept positive and short, it is better for about 10-15 minutes long each time.

Once my dog is trained and has obeyed to my commands, is it still necessary for my dog to continue wearing the receiver collar?

Yes, you may need to reinforce your dog’s memory with the receiver collar from time to time.
