WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock due to internal component

cleaner.
WARNING
Use only BISSELL 2X compact formulas in your cleaner. Use of cleaning formulas
that contain lemon or pine oil may damage this appliance and void the
warranty. Chemical spot cleaners or solvent-based soil removers also should
not be used. These products may react with the plastic materials used in your
cleaner, causing cracking or pitting.
Operations
Charging the battery
-
When charging for the first time, allow charging uninterrupted for at least 12 hours.
NOTE: When charging, the Spot Lifter and charger may become warm to the touch. This is normal and no cause for concern. -
Spot Lifter must be in “ O ” (OFF) position to charge.
-
When completely charged, your Spot Lifter will operate for up to 15 minutes. When completely discharged, it will take approximately 12 hours to fully recharge.
-
To charge your Spot Lifter, connect the round end of the charger cord into the power port on the back of the unit.
NOTE : Decreased operating time may indicate that the battery has built up a charging resistance. To recharge, first completely exhaust the battery, recharge it, then exhaust it once again before recharging a second time. This procedure may be required more than once.
Tip For maximum battery life, completely discharge and recharge Spot
Lifter every 1-2 months.
Tip After unit is charged (approximately 12 hours) unplug from outlet.
This will aid in prolonging the life of the battery.
Filling the solution tank
-
Remove solution tank by grasping it firmly and pulling straight up.
-
Unscrew and remove the cap. Add water and formula* to the indicated fill lines on the solution tank.
*Note: Your Spot Lifter includes a trial size bottle of 2X formula. -
Replace cap and place solution tank back on unit.
WARNING
Keep spray away from face. Failure to do so may result in personal injury.
Pre-treating
To aid in the removal of tough, stubborn stains, pre-treating the stain may be
necessary.
- Hold the unit above the area to be cleaned. Using the manual trigger spray, apply a sufficient amount of water and solution to the stain.
- Wait 3-5 minutes before cleaning.
Cleaning
-
Turn the power switch to the “ON” position. ( I )
-
While holding the Spot Lifter above the area to be cleaned, apply water and formula by pressing the manual trigger spray, dispensing fluid to the soiled/stained area.
-
Brushing and suction can be done separately, based on how you hold and use the unit.
For Suction Only:
Tilt the unit forward, pressing the front of the Spot Lifter firmly against the surface area to be cleaned, lifting the brushes up off the surface. Pull toward you to remove the soil and cleaning solution.
NOTE: Step 3 may be repeated until no more dirty water is removed or until the area to be cleaned meets your satisfaction. -
Check the collection tank and empty the tank if it is full (to empty the collection tank, see page 8).
-
If the Spot Lifter stops spraying, turn off the unit and check the cleaning solution level in the solution tank. Refill if needed. Never run the unit without water or cleaning solution.
Spot cleaning upholstery
IMPORTANT
Check the manufacturer’s tag before cleaning upholstery. “W” or “WS” on the
tag means you can use your SpotLifter. If tag is coded with an “S” (with
diagonal strikethrough), or says Dry Clean Only,” do not proceed. If
manufacturer’s tag is missing or not coded, check with your furniture dealer.
- Check manufacturer’s tag before cleaning. “W” or “WS” on the tag means you can use your Spot Lifter PowerBrush. If tag is coded with an “S” (with diagonal strike-through) or states “Dry Clean Only”, do not proceed.
- If the manufacturer’s tag is missing or not coded, check with your furniture dealer.
- If possible, check upholstery stuffing. Colored stuffing may bleed through the fabric when wet.

referred to as a “Ni-Cad” battery) pack. The average life of a Ni-Cad battery
is 5-7 years, depending on the frequency of use. According to Federal
