Wiring Diagram – Inputs/Outputs
Note:
When replacing a fuse. make sure to use the correct type and amperage. Using
an incorrect fuse could cause damage. The unit uses (1 ) 15 amp ATC mini style
fuse located on the power connector.
Wiring Notes:
Subwoofer outputs
The Subwoofer preamp audio outputs (Blue jacket with Black RCA) is active in
all audio modes.
Rear camera input
A rear view camera (not included) can be used with the Camera input.
SiriusXM
For more information on how to install the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle tuner.
consult the installation guide included with the tuner(SiriusXM connect tuner
and subscription sold separely).
Installation
Before You Start
- Disconnect negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions.
- Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures. such as from direct sunlight. or where it would be subject to dust. dirt or excessive vibration.

General Operation
From the Main Menu screen. select Setup to access the Settings menu and select
from eight categories represented by the icons on the top of the screen:
General. Audio. Display. Others. Select the category and adjust any of the
available options using the touch screen.
Audio Operation
Press the Settings icon on the main menu screen to adjust Fader and Balance
controls. Equalizer (8-Band Tone Control and 8 Presets EQ Settings).
CarPlay Operation
Select CarPlay on the Main Menu.
If the iPhone is connected via USB port. press CarPlay icon on main menu to
mirror the iPhone’s apps onto the screen. If the iPhone USB cable is inserted
to the USB port then the CARl 1 OX will automatically change to CarPlay mode

Android Auto Operation
Select Android Auto on the Main Menu.
If the Android Phone is connected via USB port. press Android Auto icon on
main menu to mirror the Android Auto Basic Image onto the screen. If the
Android Phone USB cable is inserted to the USB port then the CARl 1 OX will
automatically change to Android Auto mode.

Bluetooth Operation
Before using Bluetooth
Before you can use a Bluetooth device to make hands-free calls or stream
audio. it must be authenticated. This is also referred to as “pairing” a
device.
Pairing a New Device
The unit broadcasts the pairing signal constantly when no devices are
currently connected. Complete the pairing sequence from your Bluetooth device.
Refer to the owner’s manual for your device for more details. The device name
is ·cARl 10x·. The unit can be in any mode of operation when pairing is per
formed. On certain phones. pairing may need to be done more than once.
Connect
The head unit will automatically connect to the last connected device when the
connect feature is set to Auto connect On.
If the connect feature is set to Auto Connect Off. the head unit will not
automatically connect to any device.
Bluetooth Phone
From the main menu. touch the Bluetooth on the screen.
Bluetooth icon will appear anytime a Bluetooth device is con nected.
Dialing a Number
Press to display keypad and dial a number.
Making and Ending a Call
Press to connect a call. and press to end a call.
Transferring Audio
Press to transfer andio between the head unit and mobile phone.
Streaming Audio
Press ►/**II**
to play or pause the music.
Press◄ to skip to the previous track.
Press ►to advance to the next track.
One-Year (or Two-Year-) Limited Warranty
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights
which vary from state to state.
Namsung America Inc warrants this product to the original purchaser to be free
from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year (or two
years) from the date of the original purchase.
Namsung America Inc agrees. at our option. during the warranty period. to
repair any defect in material or workmanship or to furnish an equal new.
renewed or comparable product (whichever is deemed necessary) in exchange
without charges. subject to verification of the defect or malfunction and
proof of the date of purchase.
Subsequent replacement products are warranted for the balance of the original
warranty period.
Who is covered? This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser for
products purchased from an authorized JENSEN dealer and used in the U.S.A.
What is covered? This warranty covers all defects in material and workmanship
in this product. The following are not covered: software, installation/removal
costs. damage resulting from accident. misuse. abuse. neglect. product
modification. improper installation. incorrect line voltage. unauthorized
repair or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product. or damage
occurring during return shipment of the product. Specific license conditions
and copyright notices for the software can be found via

Warranty Coverage
Limited 1-year warranty when purchased from an authorized Jensen dealer.
- Limited 2-year warranty when purchased from and professionally installed by an authorized Jensen dealer.

What to do?
1. Before you call for service. check the troubleshooting guide in your owner’s manual. A slight adjustment of any custom controls may save you a service call.
2. If you require service during the warranty period. you must carefully pack the product (preferably in the original package) and ship it by prepaid transportation with a copy of the original receipt from the retailer to an authorized service center.
3. Please describe your problem in writing and include your name. a return UPS shipping address (P.O. Box not acceptable). and a daytime phone number with your shipment.

Installation
Before You Begin
- Consult a qualified technician for instructions. Dual always recommends professional installation.
- Disconnect negative battery terminal.
- Remove trim ring from unit (if installed).
- Insert the removal keys, and remove the mounting sleeve from the receiver.
Note: Most vehicles require an installation kit. wiring harness and/or antenna adapter (all sold separately) to properly install the head unit in the vehicle.
Adjusting the LCD Extension (optional)
Depending on the vehicle. it may be necessary to use the LCD extension to adjust the screen position when mounting the unit. The default setting is all the way forward. but if adjustment is necessary. the following steps show how to adjust it to the desired position.
Peel off the label before installation.
Remove the 4 screws located on top of the unit.Note: Do not remove the center screw.
Depending on your vehicle’s dash. the LCD mounting bracket can be adjusted to 3 positions (Flush .1 /2″ and 1 “). The bracket comes in the Flush setting when purchased. To adjust the bracket to either the 1/2″ or 1” setting, gently pull the LCD bracket out from the chassis. adjust it to the desired position and lock it in place by inserting the screws to the top of the chassis. (see below images for reference)
Install Mounting Sleeve and Trim Ring
- Install the mounting sleeve into a dash kit (sold separately) or dash opening. bending the tabs to secure the mounting sleeve.
- Connect the wiring harness. microphone and antenna to the chassis of the radio.
- Snap trim ring into place making sure the notched area is on the bottom.
- Slide the receiver into the mounting sleeve to secure.
Connecting the LCD to the Receiver
To connect the LCD to the unit. carefully push the LCD wiring harness into the LCD connector of receiver’s chassis as shown below.
Use the hinge hooks on the back of the monitor to hold the LCD in place.
Proceed to Step #4 to secure the LCD to the chassis.
Securing the LCD
Once the LCD is on the hinge hooks (step #3). use 2 hands to rotate the LCD 90° to the left, and secure one side using 2 LCD mounting screws. Then rotate the LCD to right 90° and secure the other side using the additional 2 LCD mounting screws.
Side Panel Covers
Once all four screws have been fastened. cover the LCD extension areas with
the side panel covers.
Note: There are three cover options. One to fit each of the three LCD
depth extension settings. ( A-Flush . 8-1 /2″ (12.5mm) or C- 1 “(25mm))

Mounting the camera
Position on the license plate top screws for the best viewing angle. This
should not be directly next to or under a reverse/backup/license lamp as it
may blind the camera at night.
Before drilling, determine the best way to run the power wires to the reverse
lights and the extension cable through the car. Insure that the route will not
interfere with any safety equipment, trunk release or other items in the
vehicle. :..ook for wires, sensors, double metal, anything that could cause a
problem or damage.
The camera should lay flat against the mounting surface for proper
installation.
- Fix the camera to the appropriate position on the license plate and adjust the angle .
- Follow ONE of the following wiring options.
OPTION 1: Connect camera power wire to the vehicle’s reverse lamp:
a) Locate the reverse lamp in the tail light assembly.
b) Attach the red wire to the positive 12 volt wire from the reverse lamp.Use
a crimp connector or soldering tool to ensure connection is secure. Once this
connection is complete,note that the red power wire that is located on either
end of the video RCA cable will not be needed. The bare wire at the end of
each wire lead should be capped or taped off to prevent potential power
interruption.
c) Attach the black wire to ground(-).
d) Run video cable to the location of the receiver or montior(not
included).Connect one yellow RCA end of the video cable to the camera and
connect the other end of the yellow RCA cable to the video
source(receiver/monitor).
OPTION 2: Connect camera power wire to receiver/monitor power:
a) From camera location,connect red power wire from power cable to red power
wire from one end of the video cable.Use a crimp connector or soldering tool
to ensure connection is secure.
b) Attach the black wire to ground.
c) Run video cable to the location of the receiver or monitor(not
incluaed).Connect not yellow RCA end of the video cable to the camera and
connect the other end of the yellow RCA cable to the video
source(receiver/monitor).
d) From video source(receiver/monitor) location,connect red power wire from
end of the video cable to the reverse wire lead located on the video
source(receiver/monitor).
