ProAir™ 2 Diffuser
For all Shallow Water Series™ Aeration Systems
Item # 490354
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PRODUCT CONTENTS
The ProAir 2 is the most advanced diffuser on the market today and is specifically designed to maximize circulation and oxygen transfer in ponds and lakes. The ProAir 2’s weighted sled design keeps the diffuser submerged and prevents it from sinking into the muck. The exclusive PTFE non-stick membrane sticks provide the synergy of air stones while being virtually maintenance- free. Each diffuser also includes a check valve to prevent back pressure to the compressor.
What’s Included:
A 1 – Shallow Water Diffuser Sled
B 2 – ProAir Diffuser Membrane Stick
C 1 – Check Valve, 3/4” FPT
D 1 – 5⁄8” to 3/4”, Barb x MPT Insert Reducer Adapter
E 1 – 3⁄8” to 3/4”, Barb x MPT Insert Reducer Adapter
F 1 – 1” Stainless Hose Clamp
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Hand tightens Membrane Sticks onto Diffuser Sled.
NOTE: DO NOT over tighten Membrane Sticks. Once snug, continue 1/4 turn.
Over tightening may cause DAMAGE to the Diffuser Sled and/or Membrane Sticks.
Step 2
Hand tightens Check Valve to the Diffuser Sled.
NOTE: DO NOT over tighten Check Valve. Once snug, continue 1/4 turn. Over
tightening may cause DAMAGE to the Diffuser Sled and/or Check Valve.
Step 3
Depending on the size of the airline, screw the corresponding reducer
adaptor into the check valve. Slide hose clamp onto the airline and connect
the airline to the reducer adaptor. Firmly tighten stainless hose clamp onto
airline to secure into place.
MAINTENANCE
We recommend inspecting and/or cleaning the membrane diffuser sticks every 24-36 months, or anytime there is a reduction in bubbles from the diffuser. To clean, use Airmax D-Scale Cleaner (#530298) and a soft cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you have a loss of airflow to one or more diffusers:
• Check to ensure airflow valves on compressor manifolds are adjusted
correctly.
If large boiling bubbles are present on the water’s surface:
• Check membrane sticks for tears.
• Check for loose connections on diffuser manifold.
