Before use

Thank you for purchasing AGPTEK MP3 Player. Please read the manual carefully before using the product. Specifications are subject to change without prior notice.

Quick Guide

Charge the Player
  1. Charge by computer USB
  2. Use 5V/500mA charger (Charger not included).
Basic Operation
  1. Power On/Off. Hold the power button ① to turn on/off the
    Screen on/off. Short press the button ① to turn on/off the screen.

  2. Screen Lock/unlock. Long press the button M to lock/unlock the screen.

  3. Browse On   home   menu,   press   button to browse item, press button to enter.

  4. Press button  to go back. Hold down to back to home menu directly.

  5. When it is on media playing interface or file list interface, press the button M to enter its submenu.

Home Menu

The home menu is the starting point of each application, including Music, FM radio, Folder, Bluetooth, Recordings, Settings, Tools, E-book, Pedometer.

Music

Find “ Music ” on home menu with button           to access to its function. A related list will show:

  • All songs.
  • Resume (Now playing). Take you back to the song or audio file you are played last time or playing now.
  • Artists/Albums/Genres.
  • Update Playlist
  • Local folder/Card View music file in the local folder or card folder. Note: These functions only available when memory card inserted.
Play the music.

While it’s on music playing interface, hold down the button to fast forward, press it to skip to next track; hold down the button  to fast rewind, press it to play the previous track. Press button to play/pause. Press the buttons or + / to adjust volume.

When it is on music playing interface, press the button M to access to the submenu, a related list will show:

  1. Home.

  2. Play mode.
    A.   “Play music from”.
    B.
    Repeat. You can choose turn off repeat mode or repeat 1, repeat
    C. “Shuffle”. Choose to turn on/off shuffle mode.
    D. “A-B Repeat”.
    a. Repeat period.
    – Enter. Press the button to enter.
    – Set. Press button to confirm the starting time A when A is flashing. Then you can press the button to re-set starting time A or press button to set the ending time B when B is
    flashing, after which the passage from time A to B will be repeated automatically. And the icon for A-B indication will appear on the screen.
    – Re-set. Press the button to re-set A-B repeat period for the rest of the track.
    – Exit. Press button to exit A-B repeat mode and continue to play the track or press the button to pause and exit A-B repeat mode.
    b. Replay times.
    c. Replay interval.

  3. Sound settings. Choose to set Equalizer, Variable speed playback and Volume limit.

  4. Add to playlist/Remove from playlist.

  5. Delete. Choose to delete the song that is playing now.

  6. Bookmarks. Choose to add bookmark for the song that is playing now, or go to/delete the bookmark you added.

FM radio

Find “FM radio” on home menu with button to access to its function. A related list will show:

  • Presets. All the saved stations will be listed here.
  • Manual tune/Auto tune. When you choose “Auto tune”, it will search the station automatically. When you choose “Manual tune”, it will search the station manually.
  • FM recordings. View the radio recording files. You will need to choose from local folder or card folder if the memory card is inserted.

While it’s on radio playing interface, press the button M to access to its submenu which includes:

  1. Start FM radio recording. Press to pause/continue, press and select “Yes” to save the recording file.
  2. Radio background. Choose to open/close the radio background.
  3. Save to presets.
  4. Clear preset.
  5. Auto tune.
  6. Tuner region. Choose from Common/Japan/European band as needed.
  7. FM Recordings.

Folder

Find “Folder” on Home menu with the button to access to its function. All of the files in the player will be listed. If the Micro SD card is inserted, you can choose to go to Local folder or Card folder.

Bluetooth

Find “Bluetooth” on Home menu with the button to enter, and it will automatically search and display the Bluetooth-enabled devices (Bluetooth headphones/speakers). You can choose and press button to connect/unpair, or press the button to go to the menu list, including:

  •  Bluetooth on/off.
  • Search Device. When the Bluetooth is enabled, choose “Search Device” to search for the nearby Bluetooth devices manually.
  • Device List. Select the device you want to connect/disconnect, and then press button to confirm. After successfully connected, this player is ready to play music or FM radio by Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speaker, etc.

Note:

  1.  When listen to radio by Bluetooth, wired headphones are needed as radio antenna.
  2.  These functions are not available when Bluetooth opened: Recording, Video, Picture, Pedometer, Equalizer, Speed.

Recordings

Find “Recordings” on Home menu with the button to access to its function. Then choose “Start voice recording” to start.

  •  Start voice recording. Press button to start voice recording, press again to pause. Press the button and choose “Yes” to save the recording file.
  • Recordings library.
  • Storage.
  • Record Format.

Settings

Find “Settings” on Home menu with the button to access to its function. A related list will show, including:

  • Language. Choose display language.
  • Date & time. Choose “Date settings” to set date format and date. To set date, Press button / to switch the year | month | date and press /to adjust the value of year | month | date . You can press the button to confirm. Set time under “Set Time” and adjust the time in the same way .
  • Sound Setting. Equalizer, Volume limit, and Speaker on/off.
  •  Display settings. Set Brightness, Backlight timer and Screen saver.
  • Shutdown settings.

1. Sleep timer. The device will shut down automatically when reaches the set time;
2. Power off. When there is no operation on the device, the device will shut off automatically when reaches the set time.

  • Button lights.
  •  Information. Check player information and disk space about your player.
  • Format device/Factory settings. Format the device/SD card or restore the player to factory default settings. Note: Before formatting the device, please backup the file so as not to lose any files.

Tools

Find “Tools” on Home menu with the button to access to its function. A related list will show:

  •  Videos
    1. Press button to access to its function. You will need to choose from local folder or card folder if the memory card is inserted.
    2. Press button to watch videos, Press the button / to go to previous/next video or hold to fast backward/forward.
    3. When it’s on video playing interface, press the button M to access to its submenu, including: Brightness, Repeat, Delete Video, Update Playlist. Set according to your preference.

  • Pictures .

  • Calendar. Press the button / to switch among year | month | day, press the button to choose specific year| month | day.

  • Stopwatch. Press the button to enter, press again to start the timer, and then press again to stop or hold down button to resume. Press to start a new one.

  • Alarm clock. Press the button to enter it. A related list will be shown: Alarm on/off, Alarm time, Alarm cycle, Alarm music, Alarm volume.

E-book

Find “E-book” on Home menu with the button to access to its function.

  • While it’s on text playing interface, press button / to turn the pages. Press the button to play automatically, press again to stop.
  •  Submenu. While it’s on text playing interface, press button M to enter its submenu and set your preference, including Auto playback interval, E-book background, Delete E-book, Select bookmark, Delete bookmark, Add bookmark, Slect page. Local folder and Card folder (Only available when TF card inserted).

Pedometer

Find “Pedometer” on Home menu with the button to access to its function, a related list will show:

  •  Start .
    1. Choose to start the pedometer, it will display your Elapsed time and your steps.
    2. Press the button and it will save the record in “History “automatically. If the history record is full, it will cover the previous one.

  • Personal info.

  • History.

  •  Clear history.

Trouble Shooting

  1.  How to re-choose the language?
    • Find (Setting) in the home menu, enter and scroll down to the last menu. Press button to enter and choose the first (upper) option which means “Yes” with button to confirm and restore to factory settings. And then the player will power on automatically and then you can choose language again.

  2. Can’t turn on the player; the screen of player goes blank/black; the player is crashed or has a firmware bug.
    • Power off the player and try again.
    • Update the firmware. Please contact our customer service or check our website at https://www.agptek.com/blog to download the firmware.

  3.  Can’t download files from computer.
    • Please confirm whether it’s connected properly;
    • Please check whether the storage space of the internal memory is full;
    • Please check whether the USB cable is damaged.

  4.  Can’t recognize the player when connected to the computer via USB cable.
    • Reconnect it.
    • Restart the computer and reconnect it.
    • Connect your player to another USB port.
    • Charge the player for about 10 minutes first.

FAQS

is it blue tooth?

It’s only compatible with a 3.5mm cord. Hook it up to your stereo or ear buds.

When I listen to audiobooks/music and turn the player of, does it start there where I stopped or does is start at the beginning of the song?

It will start at the beginning, but you can add a bookmark to save location before you power off to restart where you stopped. Also there are two ways to power off one is switch at bottom of device if you use this way it will erase location and bookmark, the other way is navigate back to main screen and hold middle button tell it powers off if you use this way your bookmark will be saved adn also seems you may not need the book mark even but will return to the last place you where at before you powered off.

Does this have a hold button so you don’t push a button and accidentally switch songs? Like and iPod would have?

If you press and hold the ‘M’ button and the ‘|<<‘ button at the same time it locks player (a little padlock being locked appears) and ignores any future button presses until you press this combination again.

Will this read subfolders?

yes it will.

can you bookmark one or more than one spot in the tracks you are using?

Yes, there are ten bookmark slots available (hh:mm:ss).

can you record fm radio broadcast?

Yes you can. The option to record FM is in the Radio section menu. It appears that the length of a recording is limited to 30 minutes. You could start other recordings if needed. (Note: the FM radio plays/records in mono only.)

Can you sync it with media monkey and put playlists on this easily? Or do you have to make your own from the device?

You could use Media Monkey or Media Go.
According to our client, they are preferring Media Go .

is it bluetooth?

No

Can it be charged on car usb aux port?

Yep, it sure can! I take it and a charging cord everywhere with me and charge it in my car all the time.

How is the video playback on this 720, 1080, 4k? (lol I know not 4k) Is video to the edge?

This player can support 320*240

Does mp3 player organize an artist list you can choose from? does it play songs in order of how you put it on there? usbconnect2comp? can you put book son

Organizes by songs, artist, albums, genres. Whichever way you choose with a single click. You can set up playlist as well to play in the order you put them on or set to shuffle. Connects with micro USB to regular USB to computer. Yes u can put ebooks on it as well as videos.

Can AGPtek G05W be used with ford sync? I can’t get it to work through bluetooth.

Mine is not Bluetooth compatible so you would have to plug it in and run it on aux.

why wont unit play all songs in corect order a to z?

Songs on from an album only play a-z not in track order.

Can the player’s menu be displayed in Hebrew?

NO.
