Frequently Asked Question

  • Can I use these for swimming laps in a pooll for 40 to 60 minutes?
Easily I’ve tried many earbuds and none came close to these I swim about a mile a day They never come out the sound is great.

  • I swim 60-90 min. The description says up to 30 min. Are these not for me?
The description is a little confusing yes, but what I think it means is they would be okay submerged at 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. You would not have them fully submerged that deep that long just swimming laps. They’re great for the pool!

  • How do you change the sizes? I can’t for the life of me get them back in… To be fair I did lose the manual if it said there.
They usually have to be pulled off and it is difficult to remove them the first time. It will also be difficult to get the new size back on because of the tight fit. The tight fit of the cone keeps it from coming off when you remove the ear bud from your ear. I have used water to help force the new size onto the ear bud but don’t use anything else because the cone will slid off in your ear when you pull the bud out as I stated earlier.

  • Are these maked for left and right?
No, left and right are not labeled.

  • How can i buy just the tips? they are beginning to break down.
I actually needed just tips also, but glad I bought these. The sound was so much better than my old ones. And they come with multiple tips, and now I have two pairs when one breaks down

  • How thick is the wire? I have had very lightweight wires break in use.
Is not a problem mainly because the are TWO coils (left and right) that compensate for being too tight. The earphones do not have a LONG cord as some do, and it is NOT needed if you are a LAP swimmer. Believe me, the coils take care of over stressing the wires, which are, by the way of a sufficient thickness to take anything.

  • Do these earphones come with a mic?
No mic and the person who said yes is incorrect.

  • Do these have to be charged before you use them?
No charging necessary. They are wired to your device like most any earphones.

  • Where do I get a cord that will charge the MP3 player?
These are just waterproff earbuds. Not an mp3 player.

  • Is the extension cord also waterproof?
Yes. Been using them for a year as a lap swimmer. Satisfied with their performance. You might want to note, as with other cords, if you use them frequently in a pool, you may need to clean the connector plug occasionally. They seem to acquire a slight film which can lead to one or more of the earphones to stop functioning. I scrape then with a fingernail or some other object that is not too abrasive.

  • Can I use the smaller, silicone tips in the water? The “tree” style are pretty uncomfortable for me.
Whatever size ear fitting you use should not have any effect on the waterproofing of the earphone. It may effect how much water is blocked from your ear, possibly the sound quality, but it is likely you will have the same benefits and results as with the “tree” style tips.

  • Do they have good bass?
These are meant for underwater. Adjusting any bass is not an option. Sound is different under the water than it is outside water.

  • Are there a warranty on these?
I don’t know the answer to the warranty however, I’ve been swimming with earbuds for over 15 years and these are the best ones out there so far. Not to mention their cost-they are well worth it

  • Will these work well when paired with my phone, sitting poolside, while I’m swimming? How far can my phone be to still send signal?
We have used these in the pool so poolside should be a good distance and they should work very well my husband has washed his twice in the clothes washer and they still work great

  • The cord that came with my waterproof ipod is perfect 13″ long. how long is the cord with this brand?
Its about 4″ from ear piece to where it becomes a coiled (like a spring) section, then aout 2″ to the plug. Its perfect if the ipod is attached to the back of swim goggles. I believe it exands to 9″ or so.
