Note: To replace the battery of Airfob Patch, remove and reinsert the battery, following the instructions on this page.
Installing the Airfob Patch
- Locate the card reader area on the digital door lock.
- Remove the adhesive tape cover on the back of the Airfob Patch and attach the device over the card reader area.
Replacing the Battery of Airfob Patch
If the Airfob Patch does not respond, remove and reinsert or replace the battery.
- Find the screw on the right side of the Airfob Patch, indicated by the arrow. Turn counter-clockwise to loosen. The screw will remain in the cover to prevent loss.
- Remove the top cover from the body of Airfob Patch.
- Replace the existing CR2032 button cell battery With a new one. When replacing the cover, you may need to gently pull the screw toward the outside of the case. (*Apply slight pressure to the screw when tightening.)
Note: Use CR2032 batteries. Estimated battery life is based on tests with Panasonic and Sony batteries. Using batteries from other manufacturers may result in shorter battery life.
Registering the Airfob Patch
For residential use

Download the MOCA KEY app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Touch the ‘Register Personal Door button in the app
Important: The person who registers the Airfob Patch will be the administrator for that home. Each home can only have one administrator, who can grant access to other residents. -
Touch the ‘Start Registration’ button.

While holding your smartphone within 10 cm (4 in) of Airfob Patch, touch the ‘Register Device’ button.

Verify that the device registration complete page.

With the app open, tap your smartphone on the Airfob Patch to check that it is registered to your app.

After registering, pair Airfob Patch with your digital door lock. Follow the door lock manufacturer’s RFIDb card registration instructions and install the Airfob Patch. Usually these instructions are inside of the battery cover of the door lock.
If Digital Doorlock Does Not Respond
- For Airfob Patch to work, its RFID antenna must be aligned with the RFID antenna in the door lock. Try adjusting the position.
- Check if the remaining battery level of Airfob Patch is sufficient.
- Check the portal to ensure the Airfob Patch is registered.
- Check the portal to ensure the user has proper access permission for the door
