Before Use

Thank you for purchasing AGPTEK Music Player. Please read the manual carefully before using the product. Specifications are subject to change without prior notice.

Quick Guide

  1. Charge the player

    • Charge by computer
      Connect the player to a running computer via USB cable. The USB cable can both be used for data transfer and charging the player.

    • Use 5V/500mA charger (he charger is not incuded
      Plug one end of the micro USB cable into the USB port of a charger, the other end to the port on your device.

  2. Power On/oft:
    Long press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on/off the player. Short press the power button to turn on/off the screen display.
    Note: When you turn off the player with music playing/paused in the background, next time you turn on the player, it will start from the last position it lett off.

  3. Home Menu:
    The Home menu is the starting point of each application. There are 8 main functions on the home menu: Music/ Bluetooth/ FM radio/ Tools/ Recordings/ Pedometer/ Folder/ Settings.

  4. Basic Operation:

    • When it’s on main interface, tap the button /> to choose its& diferent functions on main interface, and fap the middle button D to enter it.
    • When it’s on menu list interface, tap button A/V to select items, tap button D to enter/confirm, tap button to go back and hold button to go back to the Home menu directly.
  5. Import and Transfer Music
    Connect the computer via the USB cable. Copy the music and other files you need to transfer in the computer, and then paste in the player, or just drag and drop the music files or folders directly when connected to computer.
    Note: Do not disconnect our player during the transferring process. If you do, the file being transferred will be damaged.

  6. Insert / Remove Micro SD Card
    Insert the Micro SD card into its slot and push inward, the deck will automatically Iock the Micro sD card. When remove the Micro SD card, push inward and then let go, the card will automatically pop up.
    Note: Please insert the memory card while the player is off, or it may not able to read the data.

Music
Find “Music” on Home menu and tap the button D to access to its function. The related list will show, including: Resume (Now playing), All songs, Artists, Albums, Genres, Playlists, Update playlists, Local folder and Card folder.
Note: Local folder and Card folder functions are only available when the Micro SD card inserted.

  • Resume (Now playing) – Take you back to the song or audio file you are playing now or played last time.
  • All songs – All the music files in local folder or card folder.
  • Artists /Albums /Genres – View music files sorted by artists /albums /genres.
  • Playlist There 3 default playlist on the player: Playlist on the go [1]//21/[3].
  • Update Playlists – Update music files.
  • Local folder Card folder View music file in the local folder or card folder.

Note: Local folder and card folder are conflict with each other. It will stop playing music in the local folder to view the files card folder.
Play the music
While it’s on music playing interface, hold the button tast forward, tap to switch to next music tile; hold the button to fast rewind, tap to the previous song files. Tap button to play/pause. Tap the button =/+ to adjust volume. to
Submenu
While it’s on music playing interface, tap button to access to the submenu. Tap button A /V to select items or adjust value, tap the button D to enter or confirm.
Play mode
“Play music from…”, choose to play songs from all songs or this artist/album/genre.

  • “Repeat”, choose repeat mode: repeat 1, repeat all, or turn off repeat mode.
  • Shuffle”.
  • “Repeat settings”, A-B repeat mode.
    • Replay Mode: Set A-B repeat period. Tap button to confirm the starting time A when A is flashing. Then tap the button to set the ending time B when B is flashing. The passage from time A to B will be repeated automatically. The icon for A-B indication will appear on the screen. Tap button again to back to normal playback.
    • Replay times: Set the replay times from 1 to 10.
    • Replay intervals: Set the replay interval from 1 to 10 (seconds).

Sound settings

  • “Equalizer”, choose from the 6 sound effects, or choose “off” to turn off equalizer.
  • “Variable speed playback”, adjust playback speed from -8(Slowest) to +8(Fastest).
  • “Volume limit, Set the maximum volume limit. Tap the button/+ to adjust value and tap button D to confirm.

Add to playlist/ Remove from playlist, choose to add to or remove from the 3 existing playlist. Delete, choose to delete the song that is playing now Bookmarks, choose to add bookmark for the song that is plavina now. or ao to /delete the bookmark vou added.

Bluetooth

Find “Bluetooth” on the Home menu, tap button D to access to its function

  • Bluetooth On/Off
    Choose to enable or disable Bluetooth.

  • Search Device
    When the Bluetooth is enabled, choose “Search Device” to search the nearby devices, then all ot the devices which has opened its Bluetooth will be listed.

  • Device List
    Select the device you want to connect/disconnect, and then tap to connect/disconnect. After successfully connected, this player is ready to play music or FM radio by Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speaker, etc.

FM radio

Find “FM radio” on Home menu with the button D to enter to its function. A related list will show: Presets, Manual tune, Auto fune, FM Recording.

  • Presets – View preset station list. While it’s on preset station list, tap the button to choose to delete preset station or clear all the presets

  • Manual tune Auto tune Choose to search stations manually or automatically.

  • FM Recording – View the radio recording files. The radio recordings will also be saved in Recordings > Recordings library.

  • Submenu
    While it’s on radio playing interface, tap button D to switch among preset stations. Tap to access to its submenu which includes: Start FM radio recording, Save to presets, Clear preset, Auto tune, Turner Region and FM Recording.

  • Start FM radio recording
    Choose “Start FM pause/continue, recording file. recording”, tap and select “Yes” to save the button Dto

  • Auto tune/ Save to / Clear preset

    • “Auto tune”, search stations automatically. You can see the searched stations in “Presets”. radio tap
    • “Save to preset”, save the station you are listening to “Playlist”.
    • “Clear preset”, tap button D to enter the preset list, choose the station you want to clear, then tapD and choose “yes” to clear the station.

Video

  • Tap button to access to its function. You will need to choose from local folder or card folder if the memory card is inserted.
  • Tap button D to watch videos, tap /> to go to previous/next video or hold to fast backward/forward.
  • When it’s on video playing interface, press button to access to its submenu, including: Brightness, Repeat,  Delete Video, Update Playlist. Set according to your preference.

Note: This player can only support the AVI/AMV tormat in 128*160, you should convert video files by format conversion software first.

E Book

  • While it’s on text playing interface, tap button A /V to turn the pages. Tap the button to play automatically, click again to stop.
  • While it’s on book reading interface, click to enter its submenu and set your preference, including Auto playtime settings (set the automatic playback interval), EBook background, Delete ebook, Select bookmark, Delete bookmark, Add Bookmark, Select Page, etc.

Note: The device can only recognize the article in “txt” format.

Tools
Find “Tools” on the Home menu, tap button D to access to its function. A related list will show, including: Pedometer, Calendar, Stopwatch, Alarm and Pictures.

  1. Pedometer

    • A related list will show as Start the pedometer, Personal info, History and Clear history.
      Choose “Start the pedometer”, it will display your realtime workout intormation: Tap button and it will automatically save the record in “History”. If the history record is full, it will automatically cover the previous one.

    • “Personal info”, set your step length between 0-250cm with button Dto confirm.

    • “History”, all your saved step record will be listed here, you can save up to 7 records.

    • “Clear history”, you can choose to delete the record you want or delete all the record.

  2. Calendar
    Tap to switch among year| month| day, tap /> to choose specitic year| month|day.

  3. Stopwatch
    Tap button D to enter, tap Dagain to start the timer, then tap again to stop or tapto resume. Tap V to start a new one. The maximunm Stopwatch list is 4.

  4. Alarm
    Tap button D to enter, a related list will show: Alarm on/off, Alarm time, Alarm cycle (Once/Daily/Workday), Alarm music, Alarm volume. Set according to your preference.

  5. Pictures

    • Tap to view pictures, tap / to go to previous/next picture.
    • When it’s on picture viewing interface, tap button to access to its submenu, including: Brightness, Backlight timer, Slideshow settings, Delete picture. Set according to your preterence.

Note: The device only supports pictures in JPG, BMP and GIF format.

Recordings

Find “Recordings” on the Home menu, tap button D to access to its function. The related list will show, including: Start voice recording, Recordings library, Storage (only available when TF card inserted), Record from, Record format, Set rec bitrate.

  • Start voice recording Choose “Start voice recording” and tap button D to start voice recording, tap again to pause. Tap the button and choose “Yes” to save the recording file.
    Recordings library – Find the saved recordings in

  • Recordings >Recordings library

    • When it’s on recording file list interface, tap button A/V to choose file and hold the button Dfor 3 seconds and choose “Delete” to delete the file.
    • Tap button to play the recording file. While it’s on recording playing interface, tap 7 to switch to previous/next file, hold to fast rewind/forward. Tap and choose “Delete” to delete
  • Storage – Choose to store your recordings in internal or external memory. Confirm your selection with button D.

  • Record from – Choose between Microphone and Line in.

Note: Line-in has two functions: Play function: When the machine is playing, use the Line in cable to connect the MP3 and speaker to play music. Recording function: Turn on the Line in function in the Recordings, use the Line in cable to connect two MP3s or connect the MP3 to other devices with output functions (such as mobile phones to record audio files.

  • Record Format – Choose the record format between MP3(32/64/128/192kbps)/WAV(512/768/1024/1536kbps).

Folder

Find “Folder” on Home menu with the button D to enter to its function. All of the files in the player will be listed. If the Micro SD card is inserted, you can choose to go to Local folder or Card folder.

Settings
Find “Settings” on Home menu with the button D to enter to its function. A related list will show, including: Language, Display settings, Touch light mode, Speaker switch, Power off, Sleep timer, Date and time, Intormation, Format device, Factory settings.

  • Display settings: Set Brightness, Backlight time and
  • Touch light mode
    • Off: Turn off button light function.
    • On: The button light is on only when tapped.
    • Normal: Button lights stay on while the player is working.
  • Power Off: When there is no operation on the device, the device will shut off automatically when reaches the set time.
  • Sleep timer: The device will shut down automatically when reaches the set time.
  • Date and time: Choose “Date settings” to set date format and date. To set date, tap to switch among day month|year, tap button A/V to adjust the value of day month|year. Set time under “Time setting” and adjust the time in the same way.
  • Information: check player information and disk space about your player.
  • Format device Factory setings: Format the device or restore to factory settings.

Note: Before formatting the device, please backup the file so as not to lose any files.

Help and Troubleshooting

How to re-choose the language?

Find this icon in the main interface, and tap button D to acess to its menu, scroll down to the last menu. tap button to enter and choose the first(upper) option which means “Yes”, tap button again to confirm and restore to factory settings, the player will power on automatically and then you can choose language again.

  • Can’t turn on the player; The screen of player goes blank/black; the player is crashed or has a firmware bug
    • Power off the player and try again.
    • Reset. Turn off the player, poke the reset hole with a pointed tool to reset all controls.
    • Update the firmware. Please contact our customer service or check our website at https://www.agptek.com/blog to download the firmware.
  • Can’t download files from computer
    • Please confirm whether it’s connected properly;
  • Please check whether the storage space of the internal memory is full ;
    • Please check whether the USB cable is damaged.
  • Can’t recognize the player when connected to the computer via USB cable.
    • Disconnect the player, wait tor a tew minutes, and then reconnect it.
    • Disconnect the player, restart the computer, and then reconnect the playe.
    • Connect your player to another USB port on your computer.
    • If the player has not been used for a long period of time, charge the player for about 10 minutes, after which it should start operating normally again.
