- Infrared sensor: Reception field for the infrared remote control signals.
Operating light: lights up when the device is in standby mode.
Rear and right-hand side
- COMMON INTERFACE (CI+) : Card slot for connecting pay TV cards
- USB (5 V __ , 500 mA ): USB connection for media playback/recording (PVR)
- HDMI 1 : HDMI port for devices with HDMI output

- : Multifunction button for standby function, switching channels, selecting input source or controlling volume. When the device is in standby mode, you can switch on the device by briefly pressing the button. Briefly press the button when the device is in use to open the function menu. Then briefly press the button again to select the desired function. Press and hold the button to open the menu for the selected function. In the case of the standby function, the device then switches to standby mode. You can change the setting in the menu by briefly pressing the button. Then press and hold the button to apply the settings made. The function menu closes automatically after a few seconds of inactivity.

The TV must not be mounted at heights exceeding 2 m. The device must be mounted on a solid surface such as cement or concrete.
Remote control
Wall mount not supplied. When mounting the device, make sure that you use M6 (MD 32300: M4) screws. The maximum length of the screws corresponds to the thickness of the wall mount plus 10 mm (MD 32300: 7 mm).

Getting started
Before using for the first time, ensure you read the “Safety instructions” section.
Unpacking
- Select a suitable place for setting up the device before unpacking.
- Open the box very carefully, to avoid damaging the device. The device might get damaged if you use a knife with a long blade to open the box.
- The box contains a number of small items (including batteries). Keep these out of the reach of children, as they represent a choking hazard.
- Store the packaging material in a safe place. Only use this box to transport the TV.

Mounting
Attach the feet as shown in the illustration. Carry out this step before
connecting the Smart TV.
Inserting batteries in the remote control
- Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote
- Insert two LR03 (AAA) 1.5 V batteries in the battery compartment of the remote control. Check the battery polarity (see label on the bottom of the battery compartment).
- Close the battery
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
The remote control can be damaged by leaking batteries if not used for a
long period of time!
Remove the batteries from the remote control if the device is not going to be
used for a long period.
Connecting the antenna
Your smart TV supports different antenna signals.
You can input the following image signals to the television through the socket
labelled ANT. :
- Via analog cable/an analog house aerial
- Via a DVB-T2/ DVB-T2 antenna or
- Via a DVB-C2connection (digital cable connection)
- Insert the antenna cable either from the house aerial/analog cable connection, a DVB-T antenna or the DVB-C connection in the antenna socket on the Smart
You also have the option of connecting a digital satellite system to the socket labelled LNB.

To receive encrypted/subscription channels you will need to use a CI module (Conditional Access Module) and an appropriate card. Insert a CI module (available in specialist shops) in the slot provided for this purpose on the left-hand side of the device ( COMMON INTERFACE ). You can then insert your provider’s card in the CI module.
Connecting the power supply.

Initial installation after switching on for the first time
You will be guided through the initial installation after you switch on the
device for the first time. You can call up the initial installation at any
time via the SETTINGS > DEVICE PREFERENCES > RESET menu and run it again.

Connecting accessories
Next, the device searches for Bluetooth accessories within range. Devices that are ready to connect are then displayed. Use the buttons to select the required device and press OK to establish the connection. Make sure that the device in question is in pairing mode. Otherwise, it will not be displayed.

Network/Internet settings
Next, you can establish a connection to the network/Internet.
All available WLAN networks are displayed directly.
- Use the buttons to select the required WLAN network and press OK. If necessary, then enter the required password using the direction buttons , then select the return key and press OK to The connection will then be established.
- To establish a LAN connection using a network cable, select USE ETHERNET and press OK. If nec- essary, then enter the required password using the direction buttons , then select the return key and press OK to The connection will then be established.
- Select OTHER NETWORK… if you want to establish a connection with another network. Then specify the name of the If necessary, then enter the required password using the direction buttons , then select the return key and press OK to confirm. The connection will then be established.
- Depending on the country selected, it may now be necessary to specify a password and parental control setting.
Google sign in
You can now sign in using your Google account to optimize your device with
your apps, films and recommendations etc. You can do this using your
smartphone/computer by going to android tv . com/setup and entering
the six-digit numerical code for your device. This will be displayed as soon
as you select USE YOUR PHONE OR COMPUTER and press OK.
Make sure that your smartphone/computer and the TV are connected to the same
WLAN network during setup.
Select USE YOUR REMOTE and press OK to register the remote control on the TV. Then enter your email address to sign in.
If you do not want to sign in to Google, select ÜBERSPRINGEN and press OK to continue setup.
Terms of use and other default settings
At this point, you will be prompted to accept the terms of use, privacy
policy and Google Play terms of use. This is essential if you intend to make
use of Google services.
- Read through carefully and select ACCEPT to confirm and then press OK.
- If you would like to allow Google to access your location in order to optimise the functionality of certain apps and platforms, select YES now and press OK.
- If you would like to allow Google to access your usage data, select YES now and press OK.
A range of information relating to the use of your Android TV concerning Google Play, the Goog-le voice assistant and the Chromecast technology will then be displayed. You can press OK or the 4 button to skip these pages.
- Then select the desired TV mode ( HOME or STORE ).
- Activate the Chromecast technology if you would like your TV to respond to cast commands as a cast device when in sleep To do so, select ON and press OK.
Please note that enabling this function results in higher energy consumption.
Setting up TV reception
Select the required reception mode AERIAL , CABLE or SATELLITE and press OK :
Aerial
Make sure that you have connected a DVB-T2 antenna to the ANT.

- If you do not want to set up any TV channels, select SKIP SCAN and press the OK or 4
- Select SCAN and press OK to start the channel

The following options are then available:
Cable scan configure
SCAN MODE| Select the required search mode FULL (only for provider
selection OTHERS ), ADVANCE or QUICK here.
FREQUENCY KHZ| Set the frequency here. The default setting is
AUTO.
NETWORK ID| Set the network ID here. The default setting is AUTO.
Then press the button to start the scan.
Satellite
Make sure that your satellite connection is connected to the LNB
connection.
- Select the required type of satellite ( PREFERRED SATELLITE or GENERAL SATELLITE ) and press OK.
- Select the desired provider and press OK. This option is only available under PREFERRED SATEL LITE.
If you initially selected PREFERRED SATELLITE and the provider FAST SCAN DEUTSCHLAND , an LNB search is performed before the channel search. To start the LNB search, select SCAN and press OK or . The LNB search is started.
- Then select the antenna type UNIVERSAL , SINGLE CABLE ** or JESS SINGLECABLE and press OK. Press the buttons to Under SINGLECABLE and JESS SINGLECABLE** the following options are available:
DVBS configuration setting
TUNER| Select the desired USER BAND 1 8.
BAND FREQUENCY| Select the band frequency 1210, 1284, 1400 or USER
DEFINED.
USER DEFINED| You can set a band frequency of your choice here using the
virtual keyboard. This option can only be edited if you have previously se-
lected USER DEFINED under BAND FREQUENCY.

- Under SELECT SATELLITE , you can, if necessary, configure settings for the following options:
Satellite Setup
UNIVERSAL
SATELLITE STATUS| Activate/deactivate the satellite status. When
deactivated, LNB set- tings can be changed or a search started.
LNB POWER| Set the LNB power here.
LNB FREQUENCY| You can set the centre frequency here.
DISEQC SET| If you have connected multiple LNBs or a DiSEqC switch to
your sat- ellite antenna, set the desired LNB here.
TONE 22 KHZ| Set the audio here, if necessary.
TONE BURST| If your satellite system requires a tone burst, you can set
it to BURST A or B here
TRANSPONDER| Select the transponder on which the search will be started.
SIGNAL QUALITY| The signal quality is shown in per cent. Settings here
cannot be changed.
SIGNAL LEVEL| The signal strength is shown in per cent. Settings here
cannot be changed.
Satellite Setup
SINGLECABLE / JESS SINGLECABLE
SATELLITE STATUS| Activate/deactivate the satellite status. When
deactivated, LNB set- tings can be changed or a search started.
POSITION| Select the desired position A or B here
LNB FREQUENCY| You can set the centre frequency here.
TRANSPONDER| Select the transponder on which the search will be started.
Satellite Setup
SIGNAL QUALITY| The signal quality is shown in per cent. Settings here
cannot be changed.
SIGNAL LEVEL| The signal strength is shown in per cent. Settings here
cannot be changed.
- Under CHANNEL SCAN , select SCAN and press OK or .
- Under DVBS SCAN CONFIGURE , you can specify the SCAN MODE and the CHANNELS to Select the following options:
SCAN MODE| COMPLETE : A full search will be run on the selected satellite. This will also take into account new transponders that have not been added to the transponders list. Two searches are performed during a com- plete search. The first search identifies the satellite’s transponders.
The second search locates the channels. The complete search takes the longest.
NETWORK : Activate/deactivate the network scan.

CHANNELS| Decide which channels you want to search for: FREE (free
channels), ONLY ENCRYPTED CHANNELS (encrypted channels) or ALL (free
and encrypted channels).
- Press OK or 4 to start the search
- If you do not want to set up any TV channels, select SCIP SCAN and press the OK or
- Once the search is complete, confirm FINISH with OK.
- Then accept or skip the information on manufacturer use and diagnosis for transferring your user data to the device This enables the manufacturer to ensure optimally func- tionality of the device.
Setup is now complete and the device switches to Internet mode automatically.
Press the EXIT or button to switch back to TV mode.
The TV can be reconfigured at any time. To do so, use the RESET option in
the SET TINGS > DEVICE PREFERENCES menu.
Troubleshooting
Malfunctions can sometimes have quite trivial causes, but they may also be the result of defective components. We have included a brief troubleshooting guide below which may help to solve any problems. If these measures don’t solve the problem, we’ll be more than pleased to help you fur- ther. Just call us!

There is no sound.|
- Ensure that the volume has not been set to the minimum level.
- Ensure the mute setting is not active. Do this by pressing the button with the crossed out loudspeaker symbol on the remote control.
There is no picture and no sound. I can hear noise, though.|
- The reception might be poor. Check if the antenna is connected prop- erly.
The picture is not clear.|
- The reception might be poor.
- Check if the antenna is connected properly.
The picture is too bright or too dark.|
- Check the contrast and brightness settings.
The picture is not sharp.|
- The reception might be poor.
- Check if the antenna is connected properly.
- Check the sharpness and noise reduction settings in the SETTINGS > **DEVICE PREFERENCES > PICTURE **menu.
There is a double/tri- ple picture.|
- Check if the antenna is aligned properly.
- Waves might be reflected off buildings or hills.
The picture is pixelated .|
- There might be interference from cars, trains, power lines, neon lights, etc.
- There might be interference between the antenna and power cables. Position the cables further apart.
There are stripes on the screen or the colors are faded.|
- Is there interference from another device?
- Transmission antennae on radio stations, ham radios and portable phones can also cause interference.
- Operate the device as far away as possible from the device that might be causing the interference.
The mode multifunction switch on the device does not work|
- The child lock might be on.
TV switches off|
- Check whether the automatic TV switch-off function is activated un- der ADVANCED OPTIONS > AUTO SLEEP.
No reception/poor signal via a wireless network connection (WLAN).|
- Make sure that all required settings have been made.

The remote control is not working.|
- Check if the batteries are fully functioning and have been inserted the right way round.
- Ensure the sensor field is not exposed to strong light.
The menu cannot be opened.|
- Check whether CEC is enabled. In this case, the menu cannot be opened. This is not a defect. In some cases, the menu of the device connected via HDMI2 opens. This is dependent on the playback de- vice and must be supported accordingly.
- Change the input source.
No Bluetooth® connection|
- Ensure that all settings on the device are correct and that the Blue- tooth function has been activated.
- Check whether the device to be connected is switched on and is in search mode.
- Ensure that all settings on the device to be connected are correct and that the Bluetooth function has been activated. If necessary, refer to the user manual for the device concerned.
