OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CHARGING THE FLASHLIGHT

CHARGING THE FLASHLIGHT

This flashlight is equipped with a magnetic USB charger. Position the  charger end cap over the On/Offpush switch (See Figure 1) and you will feel a strong magnetic force pull the two firmly together. Plug the USB end of the charger cable into a computer’s USB slot or into the supplied adapter that can be used in a standard 110V AC power outlet. While the unit  is charging, an indicator on the charger end cap will glow red. When this turns green, it means that the unit is ready for use and can be removed from the charger.

NOTE: In order to maximize battery life, the flashlight should be charged for eight hours on the first three occasions, regardless of what the charging indicator shows.
IMPORTANT! Read the following points regarding the performance/maintenance of flashlight.

  • Charge will drain from battery over time, even if not used. This is normal.
  • Using flashlight in high or low temperatures will quicken the battery discharge and reduce burn time.
  • Recharge the flashlight as soon as the light begins to dim, as excessive discharge can shorten rechargeable battery life.
  • Only use the supplied power adapter to avoid risk of damaging flashlight or battery.
MULTI-MODE SWITCH OPERATION

This flashlight is equipped with four different modes of operation

High Beam (100%): For indoor, outdoor or long distance illumination.

Low Beam (10%): For close illumination, such as reading, repairing or identification.

Strobe Light (12Hz): For signalling in a rescue situation or self- defense.

SOS Signal: For use in rescue situations. This mode will continuously flash the international Morse code signal for SOS.

User can access the different modes in two ways:

  1. Touch: Lightly touch the end cap switch with thumb to go to first mode. Release the switch and then touch it again within one second to go to the next mode. Repeat this to cycle through all flashlight  modes. When all have been shown, it will loopback to the beginning. Leaving the switch for more than one second after releasing thumb will result in cycle being reset to the beginning. Fully depress the switch to keep the current mode selected.
  2.  Press: Same procedure as above, but instead of using a light touch on the end cap switch, fully depress the switch each time. This will keep current mode selected unless the procedure is repeated within one second, in which case the next mode is selected.
SLIDING OPTICAL FOCUS

This flashlight is equipped with a sliding optical focus system (See Figure 2) that allows you to choose between a long beam that is ideal for seeing into the distance or a wide beam which illuminates more of the surrounding area. To adjust this, hold the flashlight normally with the aluminum casing. Then, using thumb and forefinger, push the head collar of the flashlight to produce a long beam or pull it back to produce a wide beam.

LANTERN FUNCTION

The flashlight can be used as a lantern to illuminate a room during a power failure. Select the high beam and then carefully balance the flashlight on its end on a flat, secure surface. (See Figure 3) Pointing the flashlight at the ceiling, the light will be reflected around the room. It can also be used as a lantern when camping or outdoors by hanging it in your tent or from a tree.

TACTICAL CRENULATED BEZEL

Although not designed to replace a professional lifesaving hammer, in an emergency, the flashlight can be used to break glass. For best results, use maximum physical force and angle the flashlight correctly. (See Figure 4) The crenulated bezel also allows the flashlight to be used for self defense purposes.

WARNING! The light from this flashlight is very powerful and should not be shone directly into anyone’s eyes, as this may cause short-term blindness. If the beam does shine in eyes, close them and look away immediately. In the case of commercial use, the user of the flashlight should only use this product in accordance with any local laws and regulations.

Dustbin icon The symbol shown on the right means that the product is classed as electrical or electronic equipment and should not be disposed with other household or commercial waste at the end of its useful life. The Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive (2002/96/EC) has been put in place to recycle products using best available recovery and recycling techniques to minimize impact on the environment, treat any hazardous substances and avoid the increasing use of landfills
