BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The intended use should be a licensed medical professional, the patient, the patient’s caretaker, or a family member providing assistance. The user should be able to read, understand and be physically capable to perform all the directions, warnings, and cautions provided in the information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS:
The ProCare Bucks Traction Splint is designed to provide comfort and
immobilization to patients receiving Traction therapy. Providing
immobilization or controlled movement of the limb or body segment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: None.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
- Do not use over open wounds.
- Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or the package has been opened.
- If you develop an allergic reaction and/or experience itchy, red skin after coming into contact with any part of this device, please stop using it and contact your healthcare professional immediately.
- If pain, swelling, changes in sensation, or other unusual reactions occur while using this product, you should contact your doctor immediately.
NOTE: Contact manufacturer and the competent authority in case of a serious incident arising due to usage of this device.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
1A) Unfasten or loosen straps. Elevate the patient’s leg and slide the splint
underneath.
1B) Seat the heel as far back in the pocket as possible. If your splint has a
separate forefoot pad, to help impede footdrop, then slip the foot between
the pad and the splint. (Fig. 1)
1C) Tighten and secure straps. Straps may need to be readjusted after traction
weight is applied.
2) Check regularly for good alignment and good circulation.
FOR PRODUCT WITH DORSAL FOOT PAD:
Secure the dorsal footpad by threading straps through D-rings on the bottom of
the boot and then through D-rings on either side of the splint.
Contact closure secures straps. (Fig. 2)
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hand wash liner in warm water using mild soap, rinse thoroughly. AIRDRY.
Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause irritation and
deteriorate the material.
WARRANTY:
DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its accessories
for material or workmanship defects for a period of six months from the date
of sale.
