DJO PROCARE ELBOW Immobilizer
BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The intended user should be a licensed medical professional, the patient or the patient’s caregiver. The user or caregiver should be able to read, understand and be physically capable of performing all the directions, warnings and cautions provided in the information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS:
Intended forpatients who are at risk for disturbing medical treatment by pulling their IV line and/or catheter; Post-operative Cleft Palate patient’s; or when the need for a positioning device is indicated.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Providing immobilization or controlled movement of the limb or body segment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
None.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
- Discontinue use when torn, worn, frayed or damaged in anyway.
- Always inspect product prior to application to ensure all parts are in proper working order.
- Do not use over open wounds.
- If pain, swelling, changes in sensation or other unusual reactions occur while using this product, you should contact your doctor immediately.
- Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or package has been opened.
- This product is to be used under the supervision of a physician and not intended for unsupervised public use.
- If you have skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, the product should be fitted and worn only after consultation with a medical professional.
NOTE: Contact manufacturer and competent authority in case of a serious incident arising due to usage of this device.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
- Open elbow wrap. Position on patient’s arm aligning elbow in center of wrap.
- Wrap around patient’s limb. Secure hook tab at desired location. Make sure wrap is secure but not too tight.
