BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The user should be able to:
- Read, understand and be physically capable to perform all the directions, warnings, and cautions provided in the information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS:
The Knee Immobilizer provides effective preoperative, postoperative, or post-
injury knee immobilization. It is comfortable to wear, and it provides
durable, rigid immobilization, also suitable for Patella dislocations and Pre-
operative pain conditions.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:
Providing immobilization or controlled movement of the limb or body segment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use it if you are allergic to any of the materials contained in this
product.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Do not use over open wounds. If pain, swelling, changes in sensation, or other
unusual reactions occur while using this product, you should contact your
doctor immediately. Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or the
package has been opened.
Note: Contact the manufacturer and the competent authority in case of a
serious incident arising due to the usage of this device.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
- Remove medial and lateral stay pockets. Align the posterior stays with the curve of the back of the leg. (Fig. 1)
- Position the medial & lateral stays along the midline of the leg. The foam shell may be trimmed with scissors if necessary. (Fig. 2)
- Starting at the bottom or distally, secure all straps and tighten them. (Fig. 3)
- Straps may be adjusted for a secure fit. Straps should be snug but not constricted.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hand wash the liner in warm water using mild soap, and rinse thoroughly.
AIR DRY.
Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause irritation and
deteriorate the material.
WARRANTY: DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its
accessories for material or workmanship defects for a period of six months
from the date of sale. To the extent the terms of this warranty are
inconsistent with local regulations, the provisions of such local regulations
will apply.
