BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND
CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE
DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The intended use should be a licensed medical professional, the patient, the
patient’s caretaker, or a family member providing assistance. The user should
be able to read, understand and be physically capable to perform all the
directions, warnings, and cautions provided in the information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS:
The DonJoy Stabilizing Speed Pro Ankle Brace is designed to provide support
for the relief of pain caused by ankle sprains and, chronic ankle instability.
Soft-good/semi-rigid designed to restrict motion through elastic or semi-rigid
construction.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the materials contained in this
product.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
- Do not use over open wounds.
- Ankle brace should be worn with an athletic sock.
- If pain, swelling, changes in sensation, or other unusual reactions occur while using this product, you should contact your doctor immediately.
- Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or the package has been opened
NOTE: Contact manufacturer and the competent authority in case of a
serious incident arising due to usage of this device. (HIGH ALTITUDE) At high
altitudes, the aircells will expand beyond their optimal level. Adjust Aircell
pressure by tightening or loosening support and/or strap.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
A) Stabilizing PRO Ankle – Before application, loosen straps and laces.
The ankle must be at a 90° angle when applying the brace. While seated at the
edge of a chair, place your foot in an ankle brace. Make sure the tongue is on
the top of the foot area prior to lacing up. Lace-up the brace like a shoe.

B) Stabilizing Speed PRO Ankle – Before
application, loosen straps and laces. The ankle must be at a 90° angle when
applying the brace. While seated at the edge of a chair, place your foot in an
ankle brace. Make sure the tongue of the brace is on the top of the foot area
prior to lacing up. Pull lace tabs across the top of the foot and secure tab
to Velcro on the opposite side of the brace. (Fig. B)
C) For application to the right foot, slightly
turn heel out. For the left foot, slightly turn heel in. Starting with the
long outer strap, wrap in figure 8 over the forefoot and then under the arch
area of the foot. Pull strap vertically until firm tension is achieved. Secure
to Velcro. Trim strap if necessary. (Fig. C)
D) For application to the right foot, slightly
turn heel out. For the left foot, slightly turn heel in. Starting with the
long inner strap, wrap in figure 8 over the forefoot and then under the arch
area of the foot. Pull strap vertically until firm tension is achieved. Secure
to Velcro. Trim strap if necessary. (Fig. D)
E) Wrap the short circumferential straps around
both sides of the ankle over the long inner and outer straps. Secure at the
front of the brace. (Fig. E)
Note: Ankle brace should be snug but not
impair circulation.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hand washes with mild soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly. AIR DRY.
Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause skin irritation or
deteriorate the material.

WARRANTY: DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its
accessories for material or workmanship defects for a period of six months
from the date of sale.
