INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Play & Chase Puppy
Follow this cute puppy for three ways to play! Explore numbers and counting
with sit-down play, then get up and dance with this interactive friend! Keep
the giggles going with a game of follow the leader!

WARNING
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable
tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and
should be discarded for your child’s safety

Removing the Packaging Locks
- Rotate the packaging locks anticlockwise 90 degrees.
- Pull out the packaging locks and discard.

Please cut and discard the plastic strap that attaches the Play & Chase Puppy

GETTING STARTED
Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned Off.
- Find the two battery covers located on the bottom of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screws and then open the battery covers.
- Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 4 new AA batteries following the diagram inside the battery boxes. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).
- Replace the battery covers and tighten the screws to secure.
WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th August, 2005.

PRODUCT FEATURES

On/Off/Mode Switch
To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/Mode Switch to the Learning mode or the Follow mode position. You will hear a song, playful phrases and sounds. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/Mode Switch to the Off position. -
Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, the Play & Chase Puppy will automatically shut off after approximately 50 seconds without input, or when the front and back sensors have been continuously activated for 10 minutes without other inputs. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button, or by sliding the On/Off/Mode Switch.
NOTE
This product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging. After opening the package,
please remove the demo tag from the bottom of the unit.
Then, turn the Play & Chase Puppy off and on again to proceed with
normal play. If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play,
please install a new set of batteries.
ACTIVITIES
-
Light Up Buttons
Press the Light Up Buttons to learn numbers, counting, feelings and motions, as well as hearing singalong songs and music. The puppy will dance and move in response to the voice and sound responses if it is on the floor. The lights will flash with the sounds.

Hand Button
Give puppy a high five by pressing the Hand Button, as well as hearing playful phrases and music. The lights will flash with the sounds.

Front and Back Sensors
The puppy is equipped with special sensors on the front and back of the hoverboard. Approach the sensors to activate them and see the puppy ride away or rotate and respond with playful phrases, music and sounds. The lights will flash with the sounds
NOTE
The infrared light sensors in the hoverboard are sensitive to sunlight.
The sensors may not perform properly in brightly lit, sunny rooms or under direct sunlight. -
Pick-Up Sensor
The puppy has a special sensor on the bottom of the hoverboard, so the puppy knows when it has been picked up. Each time you pick up the puppy, you will hear a cute phrase. The puppy’s heart button will flash with the sounds.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries
