Warning!
High voltage. Risk of electric shock. Installation should only be carried out
by a qualified electrician.
Ensure that the power supply is switched off before connecting.
Intuitively control whatever you want in the room with VDWCM. The rotary
dimmer for Casambi, enables simple light regulation for the user. Sold
complete with centre plates and knob adapted to Exxact, Elko and Gira.
For installation in coupling box or surface-mounted box.
Connection procedure
- Disconnect the power.
- Insert VDWCM cable (A) into the LCC9WCM (E).
- Connect incoming phase (L) and neutral (N) to terminals on LCC9WCM (E)
- (Optional) Connect the control wire S to one end of the spring back switch.
- (Optional) Note the polarity of the load and connect the load to the output labelled LED- and LED+
- Place the VDWCM (A) and LCC9WCM (E) in the coupling box.
- Firmly mount the VDWCM (A) in the coupling box. Ensure no cables are pinched.
- Screw on the cover (B) using the supplied nut (C ).
- Choose whether to install with or without a spring on the knob. Without the spring, the knob is easy to remove: with the spring the knob is difficult to remove after installation!
- Press the knob (D) into position with a simple push.
In order to use the push button input S, you must set its function in the app. The factory setting for the push button inputs is “not in use”.
MESH range
MESH range means devices are able to talk to each other within the Bluetooth
network, and you need only to have coverage for one device. Using MESH network
technology, you only need to be within range (max. 30 meters) of one device to
be able to control all devices.
MESH technology means that you can build large-scale installations with a
large number of luminaires and control them with ease using, for example, your
smartphone. We recommend a 10-metre range as all installations have different
preconditions. Note that MESH technology means that a dimmer without a load
still contributes to the strength of the network through its very presence.
Minimum/maximum dimmer level
Different types of LED have different dimming curves. You can change the
minimum and maximum dimmer level by:
- Starting the app and double-clicking the dimmer.
- Scrolling down to minimum/maximum dimmer level and setting the level.
