Get started
- Download Casambi for free on Google Play or the App Store.
- Click for download
Log in to your network
- Under the Network tab you can see your network.
- Choose a network to view and control all of your devices.
- Can’t access your network?
- Or do you not see it in the app?
- Take a look at your handover info or contact the installer who wrote it all down for you.
Easy dimming
Traditional dimming
- Dim lights quickly and easily by placing your finger on the light source or group you wish to dim.
- Move your finger horizontally to display the fast dimming controls.
Dimming of color temperature
- If you have light fittings that support light temperature, you can easily adjust between warm and cold light.
- To do this, place your finger on your selected light source or group and move your finger up and down vertically.
Settings
- Your installer may have added their own email address during installation. If you want to change it to your own email address, you can follow the steps below.
- It’s important to know that the advanced lighting control settings can be found in this part of the app. Be careful if you make any changes. It might be even better to contact your installer if you are unsure.
Change email and password
- Choose your Network.
- Press “More”.
- ( Note that the menu may look a little different depending on whether your device is Android or iOS).
- Press “Network setup”.
- If the setting is password protected, contact your installer!
- Press “Sharing settings”.
- Press on “Email” and “Password” to change the information.
Create a scene
- A scene is a predefined light setting that activates one or more lights simultaneously. Different scenes make it easy to switch between different lighting modes.
- Some practical and useful scenes are “snooze lighting”, where you decide that the lights are brought up gradually in the morning, and “cosy lighting” where the lights are dimmed down to, for example, 50%, perfect for movie nights!
- Maybe you want to see clearly when cleaning? Then choose a full brightness mode for your lights. If you also have a dimmer with support for light temperatures, cold light is usually preferable in this case.
- Casambi offers a large freedom of variation, creating up to 250 scenes in a single network.
- Choose your Network.
- Press “Add scene”.
- Name your scene and press “Add scene”.
- Add light sources and dimming levels to your scene from the menu.
Gallery function
- With the gallery function, you can take photos of your own home environment.
- Set out where your lightsources and dimmers are located. Control easily and visually the lighting by clicking on the image.
Astro-clock and time functions
Astro-clock and time functions help you automate your lighting. You can opt
for lighting that follows the rising and setting of the sun, or is switched on
or off at specified times.
- Press “More”.
- Press on “Timers”.
- Select “Edit”.
- Press the plus sign.
- Select “Switches ON” and set Time or Sunrise/ Sunset, and the days on which the settings are to be applied. Select “Switches OFF” and set Day/Time/Sunrise/ Sunset for when the function should be off.
The gateway function
As a private individual, the gateway function is practical when you are at
your workplace and remember that you forgot to turn off the lights at home. Or
if you want to activate a scenario to simulate someone being at home, even
though you are out. You can use a smart device, such as a tablet, placed in
your home to be able to control light sources remotely. The device must be
connected to the internet. Would you rather have everything set and ready?
Then talk to your installer about Vadsbo’s convenient Gateway for remote
connections. It can withstand power outages and can easily be stored in the
wardrobe.
- Press “More”.
- Press “Gateways”.
- Select “Gateway”.
- Activate Gateway.
