Quick start guide
This quick start guide contains important information on the safe operation of the device. Read and follow the safety advice and instructions given. Retain the quick start guide for future reference. If you pass on the device please include this quick start guide.

Safety instructions

Intended use
This device is used to specify tempo and time signature when making music. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
Danger for children

Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts from the product. They could swallow the pieces and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.

Where to use the product
Never use the product

  • in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
  • in extremely dusty or dirty areas
  • at locations where the unit can become wet

General handling

  • To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.
  • Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or flammable cleaning agents.
  • Turn off the device when not in use. If the device is not used for a long period of time, remove the battery in order to protect the device from damage from leaking batteries.

Keep foreign substances from the unit!
Keep the device away from containers with liquids. Should any liquid get into the unit, this could lead to its destruction, fi re or electric shock. Be sure not to let any metal objects into the unit.
Electromagnetic compatibility with other electrical devices
If the device is operated near radios or televisions, interference may occur. Then in-crease the distance between the devices.

Using the device

  1. You can clip this mini metronome to your sheet music, or the music book, the music stand or even to your collar etc.
  2. Press the POWER button (1) to start the metronome.
  3. Choose the beat. Press the SELECT button (2) and move the cursor to “BEAT”. Then press the UP or DOWN button (3, 4) to select the desired beat (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9).
  4. Choose the tempo. Press the SELECT button (2) and move the cursor to “TEMPO”. Then press the UP or DOWN buttons (3, 4) to select the desired tempo (30 – 260 BPM).
  5. Choose the rhythm. Press the SELECT button (2) and move the cursor to “RHY”. Then press the UP or DOWN button (3, 4) to select the desired rhythm.
  6. Adjust the volume. Press the SELECT button (2) and move the cursor to “VOL”. Then press the UP or DOWN button (3, 4) to select the desired volume (mute, low, medium or high).
  7. When the metronome is in operation, the light (6) fl ashes at the selected tempo. The two cursors to the side of the beat number also fl ash from left to right according to the tempo.
  8. Press the POWER button (1) to stop the metronome.
  9. The settings for tempo, beat, rhythm and volume are saved when the device is switched off and are available again when the device is next used. When changing the battery, however, these settings are reset. The factory defaults are: Tempo = 120, beat = 4, rhythm = , volume = medium

Replacing the battery

If the volume decreases and the display becomes dim, the battery is exhausted and needs to be replaced. Switch off the device before removing the battery. While pulling the tab on the side of the metronome, remove the battery compartment and insert the fresh battery, carefully observing the polarity.

For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.

Batteries must not be disposed of as domestic waste or thrown into fi re. Dispose of batteries according to national or local regulations regarding hazardous waste. To protect the environment, dispose of empty batteries at your retail store or at appropriate collection sites.

This product is subject to the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) in its currently valid version. Do not dispose of your old device with your normal household waste. Dispose of this product through an approved waste disposal firm or through your local waste facility. Comply with the rules and regulations that apply in your country. If in doubt, consult your local waste disposal facility.
