Ableton
After you buy downloadable software from Thomann, we’ll send you an e-mail containing an activation code and a link to the web page where you can redeem this code. Usually, this is the software manufacturer’s homepage, and you’ll have to set up your own customer account there, so that a licence can be assigned to you personally.
You’ll download your software directly from the manufacturer.
Customer Account
This is where you can log in to your Ableton cus-tomer account or create a new
one: https://www.ableton.com/de/login/
Activation code
Please enter the activation code you have re-ceived from Thomann using this
link: https://www.ableton.com
- If you are not logged in to your customer account or do not have a customer account yet, you’ll be returned to the login page mentioned above.
Licences
Once you have registered your activation code, you will find your licenses and
the link to down-load your installation file in the “user account” section of
the menu.
- By the way, should you own a number of licenc-es, click on the version shown to the right of “Li-cences” to find it listed in the drop-down menu.
Installation
Please now download the installation file and then launch it. On first starting Ableton, you will be asked to au-thorize the programme. In the pop-up window, click the “Authorize with ableton.com” button.
- Please note that your computer needs to be con-nected to the internet for this purpose.
- Doing so will direct you to the Ableton homepage once more, and once you have entered your log-in information, your computer will be authorized for permanent use of Ableton Live.
- You can skip this step, if you want to, by clicking “Authorize later” and then do it later by click-ing through “Options” –> “Preference” –> “Li-cence Maintenance”.
