Safety Notes

Before commissioning

  • Connect the power supply unit to a properly installed socket.

Operating instructions

  • If there is a choice of different buttons (e.g. YES or NO), the selected button has an alight-colored background.
  • In menus offering a variety of different options (e.g. Equalizer, Update, etc.), the option currently selected is marked with [ü].

4.1 Navigation and control
[VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] has a dual function:
A) Menu

  • Turning [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE ] into the menu allows you to select individual menu items.

  • Pressing [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] confirms your selection.
    B) Playback display

  • Turning [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] into the  playback display changes the volume of the radio.

  • Turning [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE ]tothe left or right reduces or increases the volume of the radio.

Note

  • If you are in the playback display, use to switch between the volume control and the station list selection.
  • Press to  display the current input mode. If the station selection is active, the info symbol appears in the display and the station list description. Turning [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] allows you to navigate through all of the stations found.
    If you are in the menu, return to the playback display by pressing  .
    Press toreturn to the previous menu level.

4.2 Switch On /Off /Standby
• Press [ ]toswitch the radio on or off (standby).

Note

  • Disconnect the radio from the power supply to switch it off completely.

4.3 Volume adjustment
Turning NAVIGATE/ENTER/VOLUME increases /reduces the volume.

Getting started

Note- Optimal reception

  • Pull the antenna out completely.
  •  We recommend you adjust the antenna vertically to ensure optimal reception.

5.1 Switching the device on
• Connect the power cable to a properly installed power socket.

Warning

  • Only connect the product to a socket that has been approved for the device. The electrical socket must always be easily accessible.
  • Disconnect the product from the power supply using the on/off switch –if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
  • Wait until the radio initialization procedure has finished.

The station searches in the operating mode DABstarts up automatically when the radio is turned on for the first time. By default, the radio starts with the English menu navigation. Set up your desired language as described in
5.2 Language.

5.2 Language
The first time the system starts theradiousesEnglish. To change this, proceed as follows:
Press [MENU] > Language >Selectlanguage
Confirm your selection by pressing the [VOLUME/ENTER/NAVIGATE] button.

  • You can choose from the following languages:
    English, French, German, Italian, Finnish, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Swedish, Slovak, Turkish, Czech

Care and Maintenance

  • Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
  • If you do not use the product for a long time, turn off the device and disconnect it from the power supply. Store it in a clean, dry place out of direct sunlight.
