SAFETY & WARNINGS
Unplug from power before moving it, emptying it or when it is not in use for an extended period of time. Do not operate with a damaged power supply cord or plug. The equipment should be installed near an easily accessible power outlet. This shredder should not be used by children. Close supervision is necessary when the shredder is being used near children, persons suffering from physical impairment or pets.
OVERVIEW
INSTALLATION
To place the shredder onto your basket, slide the adjustable arm to the appropriate width so that both arms fit snugly. The shredder will fit baskets from 111/2″ to 14 1/2″ (288mm to 355mm) width. Plug the unit into a standard AC outlet.
OPERATION
Standard office paper is able to shredded. The maximum capacity is 5 sheets of 70GSM paper. To avoid jams:
- Paper should be completely flat.
- If the paper is creased, do not attempt to shred more than 1-2 sheets simultaneously.
- Paper clips should be removed.
Auto
Simply insert paper into the centre of the intake. Once your document has activated the trigger switch, the unit will turn on and off automatically.
Stop / Reverse
Moving the switch to OFF or REVERSE will cause the unit to run in the corresponding direction.
Clearing Jams
If a paper jam occurs, switch the unit to the REVERSE position until the paper is out of the cutting wheels. In some cases, it may be necessary to alternate between FORWARD and REVERSE positions several times to help clear excess paper from the cutting area.
