Before use
This product is an arm base kit for mounting a tonearm on a Grandioso T1.
Supported tonearms
- IKEDA
- IT-345 (9-inch)
- IT-407 (12-inch)
ATTENTION
IT-345 tonearms cannot be installed on the front left of the Grandioso T1.

Installation procedures
If the motor unit has been installed, follow the procedures beginning on page 19 of the Grandioso T1 Owner’s Manual to remove it before installing the arm base kit.

Remove the top of the leg from the base unit.
At the location where you want to install the tonearm, turn the top of the leg counterclockwise and remove it.- Tonearms can be installed in three locations: the back right, the back left and the front left.
ATTENTION IT-345 tonearms cannot be installed on the front left.

Install the arm base post on the base unit.
Referring to “Arm base post installation diagram” on page 7, attach the arm base post with the attachment screws. -
Install the arm base.
Align a positioning indentation on the underside of the arm base with the pin on the arm base post when installing it. The two different positioning indentations are for IT-345 and IT-407 tonearms. Select the indentation to use according to the tonearm being installed.
When placed correctly, the tops of the arm base and the arm base post should be almost the same height. If there is a large height difference between the arm base and the arm base post, the positioning indentation and the pin might not be aligned. Try installing the arm base again. -
Fix the arm base in place.
Tighten the arm base attachment thumbscrew to fix it in place.- After fixing it in place, confirm that there is no looseness in the arm base.

Attach the tonearm to the arm base.
Refer to the tonearm owner’s manual for installation procedures.
When not using a VTA elevator, insert the adapter included with this kit into the hole in the arm base before installing the tonearm. -
Install the motor unit.
Following the instructions starting with procedure 10 on page 16 of the Grandioso T1 Owner’s Manual, install the motor unit.
