Wood’s air purifiers
Wood’s air purifiers are innovated, developed, and manufactured in Sweden –
from the sheet metal of the body and the filters, to the final assembly.
Around the world, Swedish products are known for quality and durability – a
legacy we are proud to carry on.
When developing new products, Wood’s always put consumer use first. This
results in highly efficient, reliable, and discrete air purifiers of top
quality with market-leading warranties.
With a background in manufacturing solutions for the medical and food
industry, Wood’s applies the same high standards when developing air purifiers
for home use.

Workings of your Wood’s air purifier
Thank you!
Thank you for choosing Wood’s air purifier! In this manual, you’ll find
everything you need to know about your Wood’s air purifier.
Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. For
best capacity and to avoid any damage to your product, it is important that
you read these instructions carefully before using your product.
Poor air quality – a health hazard.
Daily, we inhale large amounts of harmful particles in our homes. Wood’s air
purifiers remove 99,98% of all pollen, dust, soot, exhaust fumes, bacteria,
and mold spores from the indoor air and provide instant relief for people
suffering from allergies and asthma. People who aren’t sick are also affected
by air pollution and will notice the difference when the air is kept free from
particles and pollution. Wood’s air purifiers also remove radioactive radon
daughters from the indoor air and prevent diseases from spreading in the
workplace or in your home.
High amounts of particles and pollution are a common problem in most cities
and inhaling these pollutants can impair the lung capacity of children and
even lead to serious diseases for adults. The problem increases when the
outside air gets drier during the winter. An air purifier from Wood’s
guarantees a healthy indoor environment, no matter where you use it and
improves the air quality before it affects your health.
Warnings and safety instructions
When using your Wood’s air purifier, it is important to follow a few safety
instructions.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning
the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or
assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
- Always keep the appliance away from water.
- Always keep the appliance away from heat sources.
- Do not block the airflow from the unit.
- Do not use the unit outdoors.
- Wood’s air purifiers must be connected to a grounded power outlet.
- Always unplug the unit before moving it, storing it, cleaning it or maintaining its filter.
- Make sure that it is placed on a solid, flat surface.
- Careless handling or unauthorized alteration of the chord or electronics of the air purifier could void the warranty.
- The warranty is only valid upon the production of a receipt.
Troubleshooting and technical data
The air purifier doesn’t start.
- Check that it is connected to a power source and that it is switched on.
- Check that the top latch is firmly closed
- Check that the filters are properly inserted in the unit.
No airflow from the air purifier
- Check that the airflow isn’t blocked. The air must be able to flow freely on both the sides and the front of the air purifier.
- Move the purifiers away from any surrounding surfaces.
Noises are coming from the air purifier
- Check that the unit is placed on a solid, flat surface.
- Check if the filter needs replacing. A too dirty filter may block the airflow, causing the noise.
Using your Wood’s air purifier
-
Place the air purifier on level ground in the middle of the room.
-
Connect the unit to a grounded power outlet.
-
Switch the air purifier on and choose fan speed with the fan speed knob on the back of the unit (see Fig. A). The Wood’s GRAN 900
lets you choose between 4 fan speeds; a higher fan speed means higher airflow and faster purification but also slightly higher power consumption and noise level. Please refer to Fig. A for more information. -
When the air purifier is running, you can feel the airflow from the sides of the unit.
-
For best results, leave the air purifier running continuously, even during the night or when you leave the house.
-
The filters in the unit need to be replaced regularly, at least once every six months. Read more about replacing the filter below.
-
For best results, place the air purifier in the center of the room. Make sure that the airflow isn’t blocked.
Workings of your Wood’s air purifier
The Wood’s GRAN 900-series circulates the air through the room with two fans,
taking in air from its front and exhausting clean air from its sides. For
optimum air purification, it is usually recommended that the air purifier is
powerful enough to circulate the air through the room twice every hour. This
unit is therefore recommended for rooms up to 160m, depending on the
environment. In a demanding environment, for example very dirty rooms or rooms
where people smoke, you need to circulate the air more often. The maximum
working area might therefore be smaller than in a less demanding environment.
A demanding environment will also affect how often you need to replace the
filters in the unit. We, therefore, recommend that you check the filters
regularly and replace the filters when needed. Please refer to the filter
chapter below for more information.
When the air is circulated in the room and passed through the ionization part
of the air purifier, the particles in the air are given a light electrical
charge. When the air passes through the air purifier, the charged air
particles are drawn to the Active ION HEPA filter where they stick. This
technique is not only very efficient, it also allows for a low filter density.
By using an electrical charge to separate the particles from the air, Wood’s
doesn’t have to rely on the density of the filter to receive a high level of
purification. This means that no noisy and energy-consuming fans are needed to
circulate the air, which is needed in purifiers using traditional filters of
the same capacity.
Carbon filter (optional)
If the unit is equipped with carbon filters, the gases in the air are adsorbed
by the carbon filters after the air has passed through the Active ION HEPA
filter. The carbon filters remove gases and unpleasant odors from the air.
Place the carbon filters outside the Active ION HEPA filters. Replace the
carbon filters when they are expired according to steps 1-5 below.
Cleaning and filter maintenance
Wood’s air purifiers are easy to clean and maintain. If needed, use a damp
cloth or vacuum cleaner to clean the outside of the air purifier.
Avoid using solvents or strong cleaners as this may damage the surface of the
air purifier.
Filter change
The Active ION HEPA filters in the Wood’s GRAN 900-series need to be changed
regularly due to their ionization. To receive the full, 10 years warranty make
sure to change the filters at least once every six months. However, the
filters may need to be replaced more often depending on the environment. The
filters also have a status indicator that shows when they need replacing.
- Switch the air purifier off and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Open the air purifier by gently turning the top latch.
- Remove the consumed filters.
- Insert two new filters as marked by the arrows on the filter.
- Close the air purifier and reconnect it to the power outlet.
Access the filter by turning the top latch of the unit. Please refer to Fig. B for more information.
