WARNING: The installation and/or maintenance of this product requires
advanced mechanical skills, the proper tools, and a thorough understanding of
tool use and torque specifications.
For your own safety, SW-MOTECH recommends having installation and/or
maintenance carried out by a qualified and certified motorcycle mechanic.
WARNING: Should you choose to self-install this product, carefully and
completely read all installation and safety instructions before installation
and use, and follow all the directions and safety precautions given in the
mounting instructions to avoid serious injury or death. Also pay attention to
all relevant information in the vehicle manual during installation and use. IF
YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANY PART OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS, OR NEED CLARIFICATION OF
ANY INSTRUCTION, DO NOT ATTEMT TO MOUNT THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT CONTACTING SW-
MOTECH FOR ASSISTANCE.
PREPARATION: Read the mounting instructions carefully and make sure that
all items of the parts list are included.
CAUTION: Make sure that your vehicle is parked safely and cannot fall
over. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key. Let the engine/exhaust
cool off if necessary. Disconnect the vehicle battery when working on the
electrical system. Use appropriate tools and wear always safety glasses and
hand protection. Have another person help you.
MOUNTING: All parts and connections removed from the vehicle must be
reinstalled in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer specifications or
replaced by parts and hardware delivered by SW-MOTECH.
WARNING: Secure all threads, unless otherwise specified, with
mediumstrong strength liquid thread locker. Torque specifications undefined
by SW-MOTECH must be obtained from the vehicle manufacturer or by a certified
motorcycle workshop!
FUNCTION CHECK: After installation also make sure that no moving parts
are obstructed, and function of the vehicle is not hindered in any way. Cables
and hoses must not rub and/or be pinched.
WARNING: Before starting to ride, perform a comprehensive check of all
functions. After the first 50 km and then at regular intervals, check the
tightening torque of all connections and the proper fit of the product.
Installed accessories can change driving behavior/stability of the vehicle.

MOUNTING· READ AND SAVE THESE MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Always wear eye and hand protection!
WARNING: Always use the appropriate tools!
Open the passenger seat. Remove the original seat rubbers. Insert the rubber
dampers [1] instead.
Loosen the splint of the support-staff shown in the drawing. Pull the support-
staff out of the upper anchorage. Support the passenger seat with a suitable
object during the mounting process.
Loosen the marked screws of the bench and remove it from the vehicle.
Remove the plastic caps and the original screws of the passenger grips.
Then remove the passenger grips carefully.
WARNING: Before reassembling the passenger grips in step [3] it is
necessary to create small cutouts into the tail panels, as shown in the detail
drawing.
NOTICE: For the following assembly step [3], observe the notices in the
mounting instructions for the SW-/IIIOTECH side carrier if it is to be mounted
with the luggage rack.
Insert the plastic plugs [3] into the ends of the mounting struts [2], as
shown in the middle detail drawing.
Attach the mounting struts [2] with the passenger grips to the vehicle. Keep
the spacers [6] with some grease in position.
Then attach the mounting struts [2] behind both passenger footrests, as shown
in the lower detail drawing.
WARNING: Use liquid thread locker!
Do not fully tighten the screws yet.
Reattach the support staff to the passenger seat [upper detail drawing]. then
reattach the bench to the vehicle.
Attach the luggage rack 110) onto the mounting struts 121. as shown in the
drawing.
WARNING: Use liquid thread locker! Once all parts are evenly positioned
without excess tension, tighten the screws as specified
PRODUCT SPECIFIC INFORMATION
WARNING: The indicated maximum load is inclusive the weight of top
case/luggage and adapter plate! The maximum vehicle load specified by the
manufacturer must not be exceeded!
NOTICE: Observe the country-specific regulations concerning vehicle
registration/operation as well as TUV regulations if applicable. If required,
register installed parts in the vehicle documents through an appropriate
inspection authority.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Observe the country-specific regulations concerning vehicle registration/ operation as well as TUV regulations if applicable. If required, register installed parts in the vehicle documents through an appropriate inspection authority.
PREPARATION: Read the mounting instructions carefully and make sure that all items of the parts list are included. Make sure that your vehicle is parked safely and cannot fall over. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key. Let the motor/exhaust cool off if necessary. Disconnect the vehicle battery when working on the electrical system. Use appropriate tools. Have another person to help you.
MOUNTING: All parts and connections removed from the vehicle must be reinstalled in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers· specifications or replaced by parts delivered by SW-MOTECH. Secure all threads, unless otherwise specified, with medium-strength liquid thread locker.
Torque specifications undefined by SW-MOTECH must be obtained from the vehicle manufacturer or by a specialist workshop!
FUNCTION CHECK: After installation make sure that all parts and connections previously removed are properly replaced. Also make sure that no moving parts are obstructed and no function of the vehicle is hindered in any way. Cables and hoses must not rub and/or be pinched. Before starting to ride, perform a comprehensive check of all functions. ** The second number indicates the total quantity of the part in the delivery.
*** No torque specifications: Use the torque defined by vehicle manufacturer! The standard torque in this table can be used as long as it is within the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
MOUNTING
** Adapter plate for STREET-RACK
Attach the shown parts to the adapter plate for STREET-RACK I1I.
Tighten the screws as specified in the parts list.
TTENTION:** To ensure the proper fit of your TRAX ADV/EVO/ION top case,
adjust the latch hook (2) over the elongated holes (see detail drawing)! Make
sure that the top case’s latch engages properly when mounted
Mounting the adapter plate on the STREET-RACK.
Step [11: Slide the adapter plate [11 with the two hooks into the holes
of your STREET-RACK [sold separa tely!.
Step [21: Press the adapter plate [11 slightly downwards and turn the
fastener 90 degrees until it fits into place.
Step [31: Finally, press the lock firmly down as shown in the drawing.
To release the adapter plate, simply pull the fastener upwards and turn it to
the starting position.

SECURITY
Please pay attention to the following information concerning the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX:
The TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX is designed exclusively for mounting on SW-MOTECH QUICK-LOCK side carriers, QUICK-LOCK adapter plate an STEEL-RACK adapter kit.
Modifications made to the cases will void any warranty.
TTENTION: Riding with TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX may affect the motorcycle’s
driving and braking performance.
TTENTION: TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOXES M & L must be used in pairs. Make sure
the weight is evenly distributed between left and right side case.
TTENTION: Maximum load: Please refer to the mounting instructions of the
SW-MOTECH QUICK-LOCK side carrier, ALU-RACK or STEEL-RACK.
Maximum speed with mounted cases: 130 km/h (80 mph).
TTENTION: Make sure that the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX is properly attached
to the particular adapter and fully engaged to all four mounting points! ALL
latches of the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX must be locked BEFORE riding with the
TraX ® EVO / TRAX ADV lock cylinder set (sold separately) and remain closed
while riding. Improperly mounted cases run the risk of detaching during
transport.
CARE
To clean the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX, use warm, soapy water and a soft, clean
cloth. Rinse with clean water. Do NOT use strong cleaning agents, rough
cleaning tools or high pressure washer

Open the lid

- Pull the latch of the lid upwards
- and remove it from the latch bar.
- Open the lid.
Insertion of the Trax ® EVO / TRAX ADV lock cylinder set *

Insert the lock cylinders into the latches.

Secure the lock cylinders with the clamping plates.
TTENTION: Pay attention to the correct alignment of the clamping plates (as shown in the detail drawings). -
Insert the keys into the lock cylinders; open or close the lock cylinder as shown in the schematic drawing.
TTENTION: Use for lubrication graphite powder ONLY!

Insert the lock cylinders into the latches.

Secure the lock cylinders with the clamping plates.
ATTENTION: Pay attention to the correct alignment of the clamping plates (as shown in the detail drawings). -
Insert the keys into the lock cylinders; open or close the lock cylinder as shown in the schematic drawing.
ATTENTION: Use for lubrication graphite powder ONLY!

DECKELBEGRENZER / LID LIMITER
Mounting the lid limiters (TRAX ADV M / L / top case)

Open the lid. Attach the snap-fit 141 with the shown parts at the lid frame.
Tighten the screws as specified in the parts list. -
Attach the lid limiters 151 with the shown parts at the case frame.
NOTE: Pay attention to left-right specifications for the limiters {in driving direction/.
Tighten the screws as specified in the parts list.
Press the lid limiters onto the snap-fits. -
Before closing the lid for the first time, the lid limiters must be compressed as shown in the drawing.
While closing the lid, make sure that the lid limiters are not pinched between lid and case. -
To remove the lid from the case las shown on page 5). remove the lid limiters from the snap-fits first.
Removing the lid
(TRAX ADVENTURE M / LI
- Press the quick release fastener down until it clicks into place and the button pops out.
- Then remove the lid from the case.
- NOTE: If you have installed the lid limiters /5/, they must be detached before removing the lid {as shown on page 4/.
- Press the button of the quick release fastener to lock the replaced lid in place. Make sure that the quick release fastener snaps above.
Maintenance and cleaning of the quick release fastener

- Loosen the six screws on the inner side of the case and remove the quick release fastener.
- Loosen the screw of the button [fix with thumb and index finger).
- Loosen the shown clip carefully and …
- remove the quick release
- fastener and springs from the mounting plate.
- Clean the components with clean water and let it air dry. Reattach all parts in reversed order
MOUNTING
Attachment of TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX M & L

Lead the four openings of the mounting rails onto the locating bolts of the mounted QUICK-LOCK adapter kit.
Then press the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX slightly downward, until it properly rests on QUICK-LOCK side earner.
ATTENTION: Make sure that all four locating bolts rests on at the same time. -
Place the latch over the latch hook and .

close the latch; check the

proper fit of the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX on the QUICK-LOCK side carrier.
ATTENTION: Make sure the closed latch is under sufficient tension! If not
the latch hook must be readjusted!
ATTENTION: Secure the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX with the separately
available Trax ® EVO / TRAX ADVENTURE lock cylinder set at the QUICK-LOCK side
carrier before riding
Attachment of TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX M & L
